[RESOLU]Wifi sur MSI Wind U100 après msie à jour
Bonjour,
Je viens de mettre à jour Ubuntu . . .et ma carte wifi n'est plus reconnue . . .
Sur mon écran de boot, j'ai un noyau en plus je crois . . .quadn je démarre sur l'ancien, sa marche . . .
C'est quoi le problème ?

depuis Dapper Drake ! Ça rajeunit pas ^^^).

J'ai mis ancien et nouveau noyau . . .je sais pas si c'est vraiment sa, mais en tout cas apres la mise a jour, ddans mon écran de boot, j'ai 2 lignes de plus qu'avant . . ."______generique 11" et "______generique 11 (recovery)"
Est ce que le noyau à été modifié ?

Salut à tous
j'ai le meme probléme sur mon msi wind u100, j'avais installé ubuntu 8.04 aprés Ubuntu Intrépid le wifi marchait et aprés une mise à jour plus rien. J'ai installé linux4One mais pas plus de résultat je suis revenu à Ubuntu 8.04 , j'ai réussi à avoir un semblant de reseau ma connexion etait bien apparente mais aucun débit; depuis j'ai tout reperdu aprés un arret redemarrage et là je n'arrive plus à rien donc si vous pouvez mz donner un coup demain d'autant plus que je débute sous Linux Merci :

Merci toutlahaut, mais j'ai du mal m'exprimer.
J'avais réussi a installer la carte wifi, sa marchait super bien.
Il y a quelques jours, j'ai fais des mises a jour.Et sur mon écran de boot, j'ai un nouveau truc , nouveau noyau ?(generique 11?) et le problème c'est que j'ai l'imrpession que sa a viré ce que j'avais bidouiller pour ma carte wifi.
Je voudrais savoir si a chaque fois que je metterais a jour sa sera pareil ? ou bien s'il y a un moyen pour que les modifications que j'apporte au noyau, restent !!!!!!!!!!!!

Bon si tu entends "compiler un module" par "bidouiller pour que cela marche", oui, c'est normal que cela ne marche plus apres une mise à jour de noyau, et il faudra le refaire à chaque mise à jour du noyau...
bon, la solution pour un noyau 2.6.24-23 (et donc pour vos 2 cas identiques)
Entre ces commandes dans un terminal
wget http://boskastrona.ovh.org/download/linux-rtl8187se-modules-1023.2@2.6.24.23.25.deb
sudo dpkg -i linux-rtl8187se-*.debreboot, et re test ton wifi

le "wget..." sert a récuperer un paquet (.deb) contenant le module (=pilote ou driver) pour ton wifi, et le "sudo dpkg -i ..." sert à installer le paquet précédement téléchargé

Ce serait pas plutot rtl8180 ?
essaye de lancer un
sudo depmod -apuis de relancer le "sudo dpkg -i ...."
si tu as a nouveau l'erreur, peux tu donner toutes les lignes précedentes que l'on sache à quel niveau cela se produit.

ok, pas de pb, je ne suis pas sectaire.Que tu fasse l'une ou l'autre méthode, le principal est que ton wifi fonctionne

mais je trouve sa embetant de devoir a chaque fois refaire cet manip'.
Est ce qu'il y a un moyen pour virer les anciennes versions de noyau ? (car au démarrage sa commence a faire beaucoup de choix pour booter . . .)

pour empecher l'affichage des plusieurs noyaux, 3 solutions :
1 / les désinstaller au fur et à mesure (non recommandé, car si tu ne le fait pas, tu peux toujours demarrer sur l'ancien noyau si le dernier noyau bug pour une raison ou une autre...)
2 / instaler startup manager (disponible dans synaptic), il y a une option dedans pour regler le nombre de noyau a garder.
3 / Editer le fichier /boot/grub/menu.lst et ajouter dedans une option (remplace X par le nombre de noyau que tu veux qui s'affiche au demarrage) :
howmany=X
