mise a jour paquet impossible

Bonjour

En voulant installer freeplayer en cliquant sur le lien « x32 codec » j'ai le message « w32 codec introuvable »

Donc je tente d'installer medibuntu , je recupere la cle comme indiqué ici
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/depots#medibuntu

Ensuite je modifie les mises a jour comme indiqué ici 
http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/comment_modifier_sources_maj

Comme nom de depot je mets:
deb http://fr.packages.medibuntu.org/hardy main

Et là les ennuis commencent car en voulant faire une mise à jour de logiciels j'ai le message suivant:
Impossible d'initialiser les données sur les paquets

Un problème insoluble est apparu lors de l'initialisation des données sur les paquets.


Veuillez signaler cette erreur comme un bogue du paquet « update-manager » et inclure le message d'erreur suivant :


'E:Ligne 58 mal formée dans la liste des sources /etc/apt/sources.list (analyse de distribution), E:La liste des sources ne peut être lue.'

Je fais
gksudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

Ca me donne

Bonjour. Enlève le dépôt "main", et mets à la place : deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/hardy free non free

Si j'ai bien compris j'enlève "deb http://fr.archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ gutsy main r"
et je le remplace par :"deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/hardy free non free"

Tu enlèves la source Medibuntu que tu as ajoutée toi-même. Et UNIQUEMENT Medibuntu. Ne touche pas aux archives Ubuntu.

oui
Un dépôt gutsy n'a rien à faire dans ton sources.list


De plus, il manque la branche restricted sur tes dépôts officiels.

Mais en lançant "ajouter supprimer des applcations", j'obtient:
Échec de la vérification des applications installées et disponibles

Il s'agit d'une erreur majeure de votre système de gestion de logiciels. Veuillez vérifier les paquets cassés avec Synaptic, vérifiez les droits d'accès aux fichiers et la validité du fichier /etc/apt/sources.list, puis rechargez les informations sur les logiciels avec les commandes : « sudo apt-get update » et « sudo apt-get install -f ».

On va faire un truc propre. C'est ton sources.list modifié pour être plus facile à lire, et corriger les erreurs (j'ai aussi commenté les dépôts de sources, car inutiles à la plupart des gens). Donc remplace l'intégralité de ton sources.list par ce qui suit :

Ensuite tape les deux commandes indiquées dans le message d'erreur dans un terminal, c'est à dire :

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install -f 

et vois si ça règle ton problème.

MERCI A TOUS POUR VOTRE AIDE!
Maintenent il ne me rete plus qu'à installer ces fameux W codec necessaires au freeplayer.
