Mise a jour 9.04 -> 9.10 impossible. Mise a jour pas proposée

Bonjour,

J'utilise un depot local pour installer ma machine, actuellement en 9.04.
J'ai mis a jour le depot avec la 9.10, mais le gestionnaire de mise à jour ne me propose
pas de mettre à jour mon système avec la 9.10.

Avez-vous une idée ?

Sinon pour la mise a jour je pense qu'il vaut mieux utiliser les depots principaux...

en ligne de commande pour voir les messages d'erreurs eventuelles et être certain que ta configuration 09.04 est à jour

sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get dist-upgrade

Tant que ta conf 09.04 n'est pas bien jour il est déconseillé de migrer en 09.10

J'ai déjà fait toute ces manipulations. Mon système est a jour. Cependant, je ne vois pas apparaitre l'upgrade Karmick dans le gestionnaire de mise à jour.

PS: Je ne suis pas débutant sur Ubuntu, j'ai gérer un parc de machine, mais jamais le dépôt ou les mises a jour automatique. J'ai toujours travailler en configuration "déconnecté du web" et dépôt local.

J'ai un depot a jour, tester sur une VM hier soir, et qui fonctionne.
Le seule écart par rapport a la configuration testé hier soir, c'est l'accès au web.

Aussi, je me demande s'il ne manque pas des infos dans mon sources.list.
Actuellement il est de la forme:

ça fonctionne si je mets a jour le sources.list, mais justement, ce n'est pas ce que je veux.
je souhaiterai que le gestionnaire de mise a jour detecte le nouvel os et propose un upgrade de l'os, comme dans la doc de mise a jour Ubuntu.

il me semble logique de faire en sorte que le fichier source soit bon avant d'utiliser l'interface graphique ou le manager automatique qui de toute façons s'appuient sur ce fichier roll roll

Bonjour,
Le problème que rencontre switcher94 ne se situe pas dans la modification du fichier sources.list. Cette modification, je pense qu'il la maitrise depuis très longtemps et de plus est très largement documenté dans la communauté.
Par contre, je rencontre le même soucis :
Pour des raisons de non accessibilité de mon réseau de production à internet j'ai créé un miroir de la jaunty comme décrit par le tutoriel présent dans la documentation (le miroir fonctionne très bien).
Pour offrir karmic aux utilisateurs, le miroira été mis à jour en espérant utiliser la fonctionnalité de update-manager qui propose naturellement la mise à jour vers une nouvelle distribution (sur une machine connecté à internet). Pas sur mon réseau local.

Avez-vous une suggestions pour résoudre mon problème et offrir à mes utilisateurs les mêmes fonctionnalités qu'avec un réseaux internet.

Données du miroir :
Le mirroir a été créé à l'aide apt-mirror avec pour la jaunty et karmic les dépots suivants :
  + main
  + universe
  + multiverse
  + restricted

Manque-t-il un ou des dépot(s) ou autre choses?
Qui peut expliquer le fonctionnement de cette fonctionnalité (proposition du passage à une nouvelle distrib par update-manager sans modification préalable des fichiers source.list)?

Je comprends très bien l'idée, mais elle ne permet pas de satisfaire l'exigence : permettre de mettre à jour la distrib sur l'ensemble de mon réseau sans intervention manuelle dans les fichiers sachant que update-manager le fait très bien

Et si on ecrit un script avec les commandes et qu'on utilise crontab pour le lancer?

Intéressant mais loin d'être optimal et cela ne m'explique toujours pas comment fonctionne les mises à jour vers une nouvelle distribution avec les miroirs officiel.???!!!

J'ai effectivement toutes les solutions pour contourner le problème mais j'aimerais comprendre.

Voilà j'ai ma réponse, après analyse du code python de update manager, on peut remarquer qu'il lit à chaque utilisation les fichier meta-release* situé sur le site http://changelogs.ubuntu.com/ et à partir de là indique si une nouvelle version est disponible.

Merci pour ces précisions très utiles. Je n'ai pas encore testé jusqu'au bout car mon miroir se termine, mais la mise à jour est bien proposée. Par contre, attention, le fichier /etc/update-manager/meta-release n'existe pas par défaut sous Hardy.
