[Résolu] Aucun système d'exploitation n'est installé sur cet ord...

Bonjour,

Je souhaiterais installer Ubuntu en dual boot avec Windows 7 (que je viens aussi juste d'installer). Pour ça j'ai 2 disques et je voudrais avoir un système sur chaque disque. Je suis donc ce qui est indiqué ici : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/comment_faire_multiboot_propre_2_dd

Le problème est que quand je lance l'installation d'Ubuntu, à l'étape de partitionnement, Ubuntu m'indique « Aucun système d'exploitation n'est installé sur cet ordinateur ». En fait Ubuntu ne voit alors que mon 2ème disque dur (sdb). C'est bien sur celui-ci que je veux mettre Ubuntu mais j'imagine que s'il ne voit pas d'autres système d'exploitation, GRUB ne me permettra pas démarrer Windows 7 (d'ailleurs si je continue après l'étape de partitionement, je passe directement à l'étape où il faut renseigner les informations de son compte, rien ne m'est demandé sur GRUB).

D'où mes questions : GRUB me permettra t'il de démarrer Windows et Ubuntu ? Si jamais je voulais installer Ubuntu sur sda, comment aurais je dû faire ?

Je précise que sda et sdb sont bien reconnus par Ubuntu en Live CD (je vois correctement toutes les partitions des 2 disques avec l'explorateur Ubuntu et avec GParted - que j'ai utilisé pour partitionner les 2 disques).

Salut

Un conseil : inverse tes disques
Il faut que sda soit linux et sdb windows
Tu installeras alors linux sur sda et grub devrait prendre en compte sdb (c'est transparent)
Au pire tu pourras modifier grub pour rajouter l'entrée windows

C'est la meilleure façon de faire car grub se mettra sur sda et donc chaque disque sera autonome si jamais tu en débranches un (ou que l'un d'eux crache)

Oui. Après installation de Ubuntu sur le disque dur qui lui est destiné, il suffira de mettre à jour Grub par la commande suivante passée dans un terminal :
sudo update-grub
Cette dernière commande implique une détection de tous les OS installés sur tous les disques durs du PC. Comme tu auras rebranché au préalable ton DD qui contient Windows (si tu l'avais débranché par précaution mais ce n'est peut-être pas ton cas...), il sera détecté et au prochain démarrage, tu auras le bonheur de constater que le menu Grub contient bien tous les OS (Windows et Linux)

OK, donc pas d'alerte mais c'est quand même bizarre qu'Ubuntu ne me propose pas sda non (il est bien branché) ?

Bon ben j'ai installé Ubuntu sur sdb, procédé à la mise à jour de Grub sudo update-grub mais sans succès. Grub ne voit toujours pas Windows 7. Du coup il démarre directement sur Ubuntu.

Pour démarrer sur Windows, il faut qu eje change l'ordre de priorité des disques dans le BIOS

Me voilà de retour. En fait j'avais déjà lu cette doc mais il y a un truc qui doit m'échapper parce que j'ai l'impression que ce que je veux faire est équivalent.

Windows reste mon système principal. Ensuite je procède à l'installation d'Ubuntu et puisque je veux effectivement garder les deux systèmes autonomes, je me sers d'un disque dur distinct : sdb. Grub est installé sur sdb et dans le BIOS sdb devient le disque sur lequel démarrer. Si jamais j'ai un souci avec un disque, l'autre pourra quand même fonctionner.

Si j'installe Linux sur sda, je ne comprends pas ce qui changera ? Il faudra ensuite que je trafique GRUB pour faire croire à Windows qu'il est bien sur le 1er disque. Autant le laisser directement sur ce disque non ? Ça me forcera d'ailleurs à repartitionner mes disques et refaire l'installation de Windows 7 avant de pouvoir installer Linux.

malbo j'avais râté ta réponse

Je viens de passer un bon moment à essayer de configurer GRUB2 sans réel succès même si j'ai quand même appris pas mal de trucs. En désespoir de cause, j'ai réinstallé Ubuntu et là j'ai vu que j'avais installé GRUB2 sur /dev/sdb et pas /dev/sdb1.

J'ai donc réinstallé sur /dev/sdb1 et là ça fonctionne, Windows 7 est reconnu du 1er coup

PS : Par contre, je comprends pas pourquoi l'installateur ne me propose pas sda, d'autant que les partitions de ce disque sont accessibles via l'explorateur et Gparted

Je dois dire que je ne comprends rien à cette issue heureuse. Si tu pouvais répondre à ma demande du post #7 ci-dessus (résultat Bootinfoscript), ça pourrait peut-être s'illuminer mais là, je ne comprends pas pourquoi l'install de Grub dans sdb1 a pu être "la solution".

Je ne crois pas que ça ait une influence sur le fichier mais j'ai refait une nouvelle installation (c'est l'avantage d'avoir un système vierge) parce que j'avais planté GRUB en le modifiant. J'ai donc remis GRUB sur le sdb pour voir et effectivement pas de Windows de détecté. Le fichier a donc été généré avec GRUB sur sdb.

D'après mes dernières lectures, il serait de plus déconseillé de mettre GRUB sur une partition (?)

Je suis ignare avec le RAID mais pour moi, ça voudrait dire que tu as deux disques durs de 250 Go montés en RAID dans ce PC (je ne sais même pas ce que c'est comme type de RAID tellement je n'y connais rien)
Par ailleurs, Grub est correctement installé dans le MBR de sdb ( tu peux lire : "=> Grub 2 is installed in the MBR of /dev/sdb and looks on the same drive in  partition #1 for /boot/grub" et c'est exactement ce qu'il faut). Et non, ça ne sert à rien de mettre Grub dans le secteur de Boot de ta partition sdb1. Dans ton résultat, tu peux voir qu'il n'y a pas de Grub dans le secteur de Boot de sdb1 et c'est très bien comme ça :

Génial ! J'ai suivi ce qui est indiqué sur le lien que tu m'as envoyé et ça marche !!!

Je n'ai pas de disque RAID et j'ai vérifié dans le BIOS, la fonctionnalité est bien désactivée. Ce qui est indiqué dans le post est que le disque aurait malgré tout des métadonnées concernant le RAID. J'ai donc lancé la commande suivante :

sudo dmraid -r -E /dev/sda

Suivi d'un update-grub et Windows 7 a été trouvé et apparaît maintenant dans GRUB2.

Je ne sais pas trop d'où viennent ces métadonnées RAID ni à quoi elles servent mais en tout cas ça a marché. Un gros merci

Je viens de retester et Windows 7 (et sda) est bien reconnu dès l'installation maintenant.
