mon pc ne demarre plus !

Bonsoir à tous.
J'ai un énorme problème.
J'ai redemarrer ma machine et maintenant, elle ne veut plus demarrer.
Pourtant, je n'ai rien fait de spécial à part aller sur internet.

Voici ce qui se passe.
Le bios demarre, et le disque dur est detecté.
Par contre, au moment ou je devrais normalement voir grub apparaitre, mon pc redemarre tout seul.

Bref, il est inutilisable.
Heuresment, j'ai un live cd en reserve.

J'ai absolument besoin de votre aide pour faire redemarrer mon pc.

Je précise également que avec le live cd, j'arrive à activer ma partition Windows et la parcourir. Par contre, je n'arrive pas avec celle d'ubuntu, même si je ne me suis pas attardé dessus.

Je suppose donc que que Grub est le coupable mais je trouve ça bizarre que le pc redemarre tout seul.

j'ai retrouvé mon fichier menu.lst grace au live cd

Ta partition Ubuntu est certainement endommagée, donc Grub n'arrive pas à la lire. Or, il en a besoin car la plus grande partie de Grub est stockée dans la partition d'Ubuntu. Donc il plante...

Tu devrais lancer un fsck sur cette partition (en veillant bien à ce qu'elle soir DÉMONTÉE !!) depuis le liveCD.

Comment fair eà partir du liveCD ?
Parce que quand je tape fsck dans un terminal, ça me donne ça :

fsck 1.38 (30-Jun-2005)

bon j'ai fait un fsck -f dev/sda5, qui est la partition de mon linux.
Il n'a pas trouvé d'erreurs, et j'ai toujours mon problème.
J'ai aussi la possibilité d'installer Grub avec mon cd d'install, mais un me demande un numéro de partition, et je ne sais pas quoi mettre.

j'ai finalement réussi à m'en sortir tout seul.

J'ai du reinstaller Grub sur dev/sda grace à la recupération de systeme endommagé.
