Probléme configuration server SAMBA

Voila, tout d'abord bonjour à tous, je viens vous exposer mon probléme :

j'ais voulu installer un server samba pour relier le réseau windows/linux chez moi or quand j'ajoute un utilisateur :

sudo smbpasswd -a le_nom_de_l_utilisateur

et bien le terminal me répond :

Can't load /etc/samba/smb.conf - run testparm to debug it

J'ais essayer de lancer testparm mais le terminal me répond ca :

Load smb config files from /etc/samba/smb.conf

je ne comprend pas grand chose a vrais dire , j'ais penser que smb.conf n'avais pas les droits suffisant pour être éxecuter mais même aprés un chmod 777, toujours la même chose ...
Donc si quelqu'un qui passerait par la aurais une tite idée, en tout cas merci d'avance.

il y a un problème de syntaxe dans ton smb.conf visiblement après pour le reste sans le fichier en question c'est dur...

Tu vois le [], il lui manque un petit qqch entre les crochets, le nom de partage par exemple...
C'est ce qui fait planter TestParm.
Comment est-ce arrivé ? Je n'en sais rien.
Mais un sudo gedit /etc/samba/smb.conf où tu rajoute un nom entre les crochets, et un petit
sudo /etc/init.d/samba restart devrait déjà débloquer un peu la situation.

mais maintenant quand je veux me connecter a swat grâce a : http://localhost:901
je n'y arrive pas, mozilla medis qu'il n'a pas réussi a ce connecter à http://localhost:901

si quelqu'un a une idée ?

en tout cas merci d'avance

Bonjour

editez le fichier /etc/services et vérifiez qu'il contient la ligne :
swat 901/tcp #SWAT

ainsi que le fichier /etc/inetd.conf qui doit contenir la ligne suivante :
swat stream tcp nowait.400 root /usr/sbin/swat swat

oui j'ais bien ces 2 lignes
j'ais essayé de le désinstaller et de le réinstaller, mais bon ca ne marche toujours pas.:(

tu as regardé si swat etait lancé?si il ne faisait pas d'erreur? et enfin as-tu regardé de fichier de conf?

Bonjour !!!
Je rebondis sur le sujet, j'avais le même problème que notre ami sh4d.
j'ai mis un nom entre les crochets, sur les bons conseils de françois-web.
Le problème est swat je crois mais pas uniquement....
J'ai installé samba via synaptic qui nous raconte que swat est compris dans l'installation, mais je ne le trouve pas en fait. J'ai regardé dans les différents endroits indiqué dans la HOWTO officielle de samba, mais sans succès...
donc : où est ce que je trouwe swat seul ?

Et ensuite : quand je vais dans raccourcis->Serveurs réseaux ou dans raccourcis->Connecter au serveur, alors Samba n'apparaît pas....

Bien entendu localhost:901 ne donne rien. Je doute que swat soit installé...

D'ailleurs, j'ai un autre souci. Samba marche, je l'ai installé hiersoir et mon powerbook sur lequel tourne mac os l'a trouvé, j'ai pu partager des fichiers et c'était bon.

Seulement en redémarrant les deux ordinateurs, mac ne trouve plus le serveur

et quand je vais, dans ubuntu, à raccourcis->serveurs réseaux je n'ai plus que "réseau windows" en non plus "smb-workgroup-thiebo"

Qu'est ce qu'ilfaut faire pour que tout se lance au démarrage des deux ordis ???

aah !!!En fait, ce n'est pas que ça ne marche pas... c'est juste qu'il faut une demie heure pour que smb soit trouvé par les deux ordis... Ca n'est pas tout à fait normal si ?

J'ai le même soucis concernant la "recherche" des pc sur le reseau avec samba. J'attend environ 3 à 5 min pour qu'il trouve les deux machines...
