Si vous êtes sous KDE, il est fort probable qu'au lancement de certaines applications dans un terminal vous ayez ce message :

X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168
  Major opcode:  148
  Minor opcode:  3
  Resource id:  0x0
Failed to open device
X Error: BadDevice, invalid or uninitialized input device 168
  Major opcode:  148
  Minor opcode:  3
  Resource id:  0x0
Failed to open device

Malgré ce message d'erreur, tout fonctionne à priori normalement ... mais c'est énervant à la longue !

Pour y remédier, il suffit de commenter quelques lignes de votre xorg.conf.

Dans un terminal, tapez :

kdesu kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Commentez les lignes se rapportant à "wacom" comme ci-dessous :

Bonne idée ce petit tuto, il y a pas mal de post concernant ce problème, ça sera plus pratique d'aiguiller les gens ici, plutôt que de devoir tout ré-expliquer à chaque fois...

Juste une suggestion : il n'est pas recommandé d'utiliser sudo avec une application graphique...de plus kwrite n'est pas installé par défaut.

Je suggère donc :

kdesu kate /etc/X11/xorg.conf

Voilà.

Sinon je trouve bizarre que ce bug n'existe que pour Kubuntu...

Kwrite n'est pas installé par défaut ? Voilà quelque chose de plus qu'ils pourraient faire dans le prochain KDE alors. Car même s'il n'a pas toutes les fonctionnalités de kate, qu'est-ce qu'il est rapide !

@ Noé : Perso je n'en ai pas mais il serait intéressant de savoir si ceux qui en ont une ont également ce message d'erreur qui apparaît.

Je viens d'installer Kubuntu (mais je ne connais pas grand chose à linux),
j'ai une wacom et le message d'erreur s'affichait bien, si ca peut servir...

Marche nickel! Merci bien pour ce tuto...cela dit, j'ai une wacom sur mon autre ordio, ce serait effectivement intéressant de savoir comment régler ce souci...(ne sait-on jamais, des fois que je décide de les passer les 2 complétement sous linux big_smile )

attention toujours faire une sauvegarde de xorg.conf avant modification.
beryl plante avec la modif de debut de post.
d'autant que ces lignes incongrues ne genent pas le fonctionnement.

Par modif, tu entends la suppression des lignes concernant la wacom ?
Car si tel est le cas, je tiens à signaler que chez moi calà n'a eu aucune incidence sur beryl !

excuse pour le retard mais apres avoir lu ton message j'ai reessaye resultat des course :probleme avec le serveur X (c'est comme ça qu'on dit,non ?)
en ce moment je suis sous windows pour recuperer l'emplacement du fichier(/etc/X11/xorg.conf) et je retourne annuler les modifications.

merci pour la réponse big_smile.
mais ca n a pas marche. apres copier coller redemarrage de X .resultat : ecran noir,donc redemarrage,remplacement de xorg.conf par l'ancien.
