driver Nvidia, le serveur X se charge mais l'écran s'éteint.

Bonjour, à tous. Cela fait quelques temps que je parcours les forums pour trouver une solution à mon problème mais pas moyen de trouver.

j'ai installé proprement les .deb de nvidia, je modifie mon xorg.conf et lors du démarrage du serveur X mon écran s'éteint. J'entends le disque gratter, mon numlock s'allume mais pas moyen de visualiser quoique ce soit ni de retourner en ligne de commande via ctrl+alt+F1

Pour info, il y a quelques mois sous debian testing et noyau 2.4.27 les pilotes fonctionnaient mais au passage d'un noyau 2.6 j'avais le même problème.

ton ecran doit recevoir un taux de rafraichissement et/ou une resolution trop haute, ya de forte chance que ce soit due a ca.

tu es sur de ces spécifications ?

En fait je ne connais pas grand chose sur les fréquences horizontales et verticales et la bande passante roll

Lors d'un dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg je choisis les spécificités de l'écran en medium et je met 1024*768@75Hz .
Si je met nv comme driver ça marche.
Si je met nvidia ça marche pas.
Mon écran est un Liteon 17" CRT

Comment faire pour avoir les bons réglages ?? je dois surement faire des réglages avancés mais je ne sais pas quelles valeurs entrer. En gros, j'ai besoin d'une résolution en 1024*768 et fréquence 75Hz.

Quand ça marchera : champagne pour tout le monde big_smile

Fait un essai avec un resolution en 800x600 16 bit, utilise eventuellement xconfig (je crois que c'est ca..) qui est un script de config pour X et passe des parametres "faibles" pour les resolutions Hz et Vert..
genre 50 - 90 hz

j'ai essayé, avec des paramètres faibles de résolutions mais j'ai toujours le même problème.
de même j'ai essayé en ne laissant que glx dans Xorg.conf
mais rien n'y fait :

Sinon je me pose la question sur l'acpi et l'apm. Lorsque j'avais un noyau 2.4.27-1.386 sous debian testing, la 3D marchait mais je n'avais pas d'apm ni d'acpi.
Sous un noyau 2.6 j'ai l'acpi mais pas la 3D. Peut être qu'il y a un rapport ? tongue


Un jour j'aurai l'accélération 3D sur mon linux, oh oui un jour je l'aurai !!!

Ca m'arrangerait bien aussi qu'on trouve une solution. Il me semble avoir le même problème.
Carte nvidia GeForce 6600 GT - Ubuntu Hoary Linux kernel 2.6.10 - driver nvidia 7664.
Et comme Aquacrevette, j'ai un écran noir et c'est tout alors que je n'ai aucune erreur dans mon fichier Xorg.0.log

Avec une nvidia 6200 j'avais un écran noir : les pilotes disponibles avec apt-get install nvidia-glx ne reconnaissaient pas ma 6200. J'ai installé les drivers nvidia 7667 : pas mieux.

Pour réussir, j'ai du réinstaller ubuntu, et installer les driver nvidia 7667 : le problème a été résolu (il y avait un conflit avec le driver nvidia installé avec apt-get install).

En résumé :
- réinstallation d'ubuntu
- Installation des packages nécessaires à l'installation du pilote :
apt-get install linux-headers-2.6.10-5-386
apt-get install linux-source-2.6.10
apt-get install gcc
- installation du pilote nvidia (en mode console, CTRL-ALT-BACKSPACE pour y basculer) :
./NVIDIA-Linux-x86-1.0-7667-pkg1.run --kernel-source-path /usr/src/linux-headers-2.6.10-5-386/
et se laisser guider (il faut recompiler le noyau).
- Edition de /etc/X11/xorg.conf et virer Load "dri", et bien mettre Driver "nvidia" au lieu de Driver "nv" (Cf. le readme de l'installation du pilote)

Depuis, chez moi, ça fonctionne. Bon chance.

Salut,

Comparé au driver ATI qui ne fonctionne pas trop selon les séries de cartes... (merci ATI...), le driver NVIDIA fonctionne parfaitement.
Désinstalle tes .deb et installe le driver de base "NVIDIA-Linux-x86-etc....run" proprement sans oublier les kernel-sources. En mode console surtout ! pas en mode graphique !
Il faudra sans doute faire un chmod +x après téléchargement pour le rendre exécutable et lancer l'installation.

Dans ton xorg.conf, tu remplaces nv par nvidia et tout doit rouler. (Je n'ai jamais eu aucun souci avec les cartes nvidia et ce depuis les geforce 2 !).

Pour la sortie télé ensuite, si tu en as besoin, tu installes nvtv par apt-get.
