[Résolu]tablette graphique intuos1 + adaptateur usb/série
Bonjour
Je voudrait faire fonctionner ma tablette wacom intuos1 sous Dapper.
Elle se branche sur port serie et, comme il n'y en a pas sur mon portable (acer aspire 1525WLMi), j'utilise un adaptateur usb/serie (lsusb me dit : Prolific Technology, Inc. PL2303 Serial Port). Normalement le driver est déja intégré dans le noyau linux (le mien est le 2.6.15-23-386).
Donc j'ai regardé le tutoriel mais je suis bloquée dès l'étape "préparatifs", je ne trouve pas sous quel "event" se trouve ma tablette.
Du coup là je ne sais plus trop quoi faire, quoi vérifier, par quoi commencer. Et tous les résultats que j'ai eu dans mes recherches sur l'adaptateur c'est du chinois pour moi .
Si quelqun a une idée...

sudo cat event0
Ensuite, bougez le stylet sur la tablette. Si plein de caractères bizarres s"affichent à chaque fois que vous déplacez le stylet, c"est bon, vous avez trouvé, sinon réessayez avec un autre "event” (appuyez sur Ctrl + c pour arrêter le système de détection et regagner le contrôle du terminal).
Si tu fais ça, ça ne marche pas ?

Bah non, je les ai tous essayés :

Ça a rien donné. Ça fait bien tout plein de caractères bizarre avec d'autre périphériques (souris, clavier...) mais pas avec la tablette.

Bon, j'ai fini par trouver mais ça n'a pas été de la tarte.
Déjà, première constatation : je suis une tache .
J'avais bien lu le tutoriel, jusqu'au bout même si je m'étais arrêtée à la première étape de la mise en œuvre. Mais j'avais loupé le "petit détail".
petit détail: si votre tablette intuos a un port serie, remplacez les lignes: -Option "Device” "/dev/input/event3” par: Option "Device” "/dev/ttyS3”. ttyS0,1,2,3 correspond à port serie 1,2,3,4...etc... pour le reste, c'est pareil. toutes les commandes dans "preparatifs” ne fonctionnent pas dans le cas d'un port serie(: dans le "input”) la tablette fonctionne avec mouse0 mais n'est pas active si elle n'est pas installée. fin de petit détail. (modif reidid)
Il était donc logique que l'étape "Préparatifs" ne marche pas pour moi.
Forte de cette constatation j'ai donc modifié mon fichier xorg.conf. J'ai essayé avec /dev/ttyS0,1,2,3... jusqu'à 9 (en redémarrant mon serveur X à chaque essai) mais rien n'y fit. Ce qui est normal aussi puisque, comme je l'ai découvert, quand on utilise un adaptateur c'est avec ttyUSB0 qu'il faut essayer.
La première fois que j'ai essayé avec /dev/ttyUSB0 ça n'a pas marché. J'ai réessayé récemment et là ça a marché. Entre les deux j'ai bidouillé plein de trucs alors je ne suis pas sure mais je pense que ce qui a été déterminant c'est quand j'ai suivi le conseil donné ici et tapé dans un terminal :
modprobe usbserial
modprobe pl2303
Je n'ai pas encore tout testé mais déjà j'ai remarqué que les boutons ne faisaient pas la même chose que sous Windows. Avant j'avais le bouton du bas qui faisait un clic droit et celui du haut double clic, maintenant celui du bas fait un clic gauche simple et celui du haut le clic droit (et j'ai plus de double clic). Je ne sais pas si ça se configure.

alors euh je suis dans la meme situation que la femme herisson a réussi a resoudre,
j'ai fait:
modprobe usbserial
modprobe pl2303
sudo apt-get install xserver-xorg-input-wacom wacom-tools
dans cet ordre c'est mieu apperement, puisque j'ai du installer 2 fois le "wacom-tools" , la premiere fois etant avant les modules et n'ayant pas marchée.
paralelement a ceci ( ca fait bien 3 heures que je cherche et test la >>> NE JAMAIS ALLER SUR KUBUNTU EN RENTRANT DE SOIREE sinon ==NUIT BLANCHE ), bon donc parallement j'ai fais des
sudo cat
sur tous les eventx, mousex qui sont dans /dev/input/ et sur tous les ttySx (ou x est un numero inferieur a 10 paske bon...c'est pas lassant du tout!!), et au merveil sur le -grace a la piquante redactrice cidessus- ttyUSB0...
alors au debut rien n'a fonctionné puis j'ai redémaré avec ttyUSB0 dans mon xorg.conf.. et la en essayant encore une autre solution :
sudo wacdump /dev/ttyUSB0
magie !!!
ca marche!!!
je bouge la souris et ca bouge , je clique a droite ca clique a droite, bref comme un Bill gates devant la premiere souris imaginant les possbilités immmense, paske la forcement on peut k'imaginer, paske ca marche que dans le "wacdump" et le "cat"!!!!!
Et puis la vraiment je sais plus quoi faire ... pourquoi ca marche dans le wacdump et pas dans mon kde ? ): j'ai bien mis le chemin /dev/ttyUSB0 (en respectant la casse et tout ): ) dans le conf...
AUSECOUUUUUUUUUUUR!!!!!!

Apparement tu as fait tout ce qu'il fallait. Ça dvrait marcher normalement.
Réessaye:
modprobe usbserial
modprobe pl2303
pour voir. Normalement une fois suffit mais ça m'est déjà arrivé de devoir le refaire pour une raison que j'ignore.
Sinon tu as bien appliqé le reste du tutoriel?
Je vais enlever le "Résolu" du titre.

Bon alors n'ayant jamais réussi au debut du mois j'a remis ca a la efty me disant que peut etre un miracle...

euh alors y'a 5 min ca marchait tres bien ( y'avait des coordonnées et pas les unable to read..) et apres avoir fait un

voila je ne sais pas quoi vous mettre de plus si ce n'est que ma tablette est une intuos 2 serie branchée en usb sur mon portable grace a un adaptateur usb/serial, tinerisson si tu repasses par ici j'aimerais bien avoir une copie de ton xorg.conf si c'est possible... ca m'eclaircirait peut etre....
Et si quelqu'un d'autre passe par la surtout qu'il ne se gene pas pour m'aider!

En fait je n'ai fait que reprendre le tutoriel et l'adapter à mon cas. Chez moi ça fonctionnait parfaitement une fois que j'ai eu compris la méthode. J'ai voulu appliquer le tuto à la lettre et comme mon cas n'était pas prévu il a fallu chercher un petit peu plus loin. Et il y a aussi le fait que je ne savais pas si mon problème venait de la tablette ou de l'adaptateur.
C'est d'ailleurs valable aussi pour toi. Il vaut mieux explorer toutes les pistes, si ça se trouve c'est la tablette qui merde. Ce qui serait bien, mais c'est pas forcement évident d'en avoir l'occasion, ça serait de tester la tablette sur un autre ordi sous Ubuntu qui lui aurait un port série.
Enfin tout ça pour dire que je ne sait pas trop comment t'aider étant donné que je ne comprend pas moi même comment tout ça fonctionne .
J'ai comparé ton fichier xorg.conf au mien pour voir les différences.
Dans la section "ServerLayout" tu as "SendCoreEvents" là ou j'ai modifié pour mettre "AlwaysCore" (en suivant le tuto, ne me demande pas à quoi ça sert), mais j'ai essayé de changer chez moi et ça fonctionne toujours.
Par contre j'ai aussi essayé de remplacer les 3 sections "InputDevice" concernant le driver wacom dans mon xorg.conf par celles qui sont dans le tien et là ça ne marche plus (évidemment je redémarre X à chaque fois après avoir modifié le fichier avec Ctrl + Alt + Backspace pour tester).
Sinon le paquet "wacom-tools" n'est pas installé chez moi et ça fonctionne très bien. J'ai essayé de l'installer pour voir mais ça n'a fait aucune différence apparement.

Je n'avais pas utilisé cette tablette depuis longtemps et là je viens de réessayer avec Hardy Heron. J'ai voulu simplement réutiliser les portions appropriées du fichier xorg.conf que j'avais posté ici mais ça n'a pas marché. En fait il fallait remplacer les lignes :
InputDevice "stylus" "AlwaysCore"
InputDevice "cursor" "AlwaysCore"
InputDevice "eraser" "AlwaysCore"
de mon ancien fichier xorg.conf par :
InputDevice "stylus" "SendCoreEvents"
InputDevice "cursor" "SendCoreEvents"
InputDevice "eraser" "SendCoreEvents"
Allez savoir pourquoi ça marchait avant.
