2 serveurs X ecran pc + TV. Ca ne démarre pas.
Bonjour à tous,
Je souhaite avoir un serveur x pour mon écran pc, et un autre pour ma TV.
J'ai trouvé grâce au post de cyberlab http://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=3902
et aux réponses de sksbir un fichier xorg.conf adéquat et qui semble bien fonctionner chez plusieurs personnes.
Malheureusement chez moi ça ne veut pas 
.
J'ai une carte ati 8500 dv (celle avec un adapteur/boitier), j'utilise fglrx et la 3d fonctionne.
Symptômes:
Démarrage du pc avec écran et Tv branché, la procédure s'affiche sur les 2, mais au moment du démarrage de X, ecran bleu "probleme avec serveur X".
Je lis le message d'erreur X, je ne comprend pas tout 
à part "screen not found".
Je repasse par sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorg pour me dépanner, et repasser seulement sur l'ecran du pc.

Je n'ai jamais réussi non plus à obtenir le mode clone sous Ubuntu.
La carte fonctionne bien, et les connexions sont ok, avec la Geexbox ç'est bon pour le mode clone.
Pour le moment la tv est connectée au pc via la prise composite du boitier.
j'ai installé ati_tvout.

Je dois surement adapter le xorg.conf avec ma carte graphique
mais là j'ai vraiment besoin d'aide.

ton fichier me parait OK.
Il faudrait partir à la pêche aux symptomes dans les fichiers logs (/var/log/) histoire d'avoir quelques billes sur ce qui t'arrives...

Quels fichiers log faut-il épelucher?
J'ai regardé un peu, mais ça ne me parle pas tellement.
A ton avis ma carte peut faire ça?
Je pense que oui, vu qu'elle est à la base déjà orientée Tv et acquisition, mais bon elle n'est pas toute jeune non plus?
Je suis prêt à mettre les mains dans le cambouis si il faut, mais j'ai vraiment envie d'y arriver.
Quand ça fonctionne, en fait tu dois changer de serveur X en faisant ctrl alt F7 ou F8 c'est ça?
On peut aussi mettre une 2ème carte son (sortie numerique) en plus juste pour la TV?

- /var/log/messages , regarde un peu ce qui se passe au boot
- je ne connais pas ta carte, j'utilise perso une radeon 9600, et une radeon mobility 9700
- quand ça fonctionne tu obtiens une mire d'accueil graphique. si tu es resté sur un login texte, alors connecte toi et essaye la commande startx
ctrl alt F7 et F8, c'est quand on est déja en session X, et qu'on veut la quitter, puis revenir dedans (je crois...)
- oui, on peut mettre une 2eme carte son pour la TV. je l'ai fait et ça marche très bien.

Julian à tu trouver pour activer ta sortie tv?
Quelle prise utilise tu? ( S-video ou VGA)
Moi perso j'utilise la S-video. J'ai activer ma sortie video avec le même poste que toi ( merci cyberlab et sksbir )
Quand j'ai changer mon xorg.conf, je redémarre mon pc. La tv branché, mon pc démarre normallement. Quand je travaille avec mon portable sans la tv, je dois faire une copie de mon xorg que j'ai placer dans mon dossier personnelle, et je le remplace par selui que j'avais utiliser.
Perso je ne s'est pas comment faire pour un mode clone! ça marche avec Nvidea, mais je ne s'est pas si ça marche avec les driver ATI
fait gaffe !!! parce-que linux fracas
et Ubuntu ? Ça tue !!
