Edgy eft ATI radeon 8500 j'ai tout essayé et pas d'accélération 3D

Après moultes installations et réinstallations de Edgy, moultes reconfigurations de xorg.conf, rien n'y fais je n'ai pas de direct rendering,
Tout d'abord je précise que j'étais sur breezy avant et que ma carte ati 8500 a toujours tourné au petits ognons. Je décide donc de passer à edgy et j'ai eu pas mal de problemes au démarrage du serveur X, le systeme démarrait en mode graphique une fois sur cinq (par contre l'acceleration 3D fonctionnait) probleme que j'ai résolu en suivant le wiki suivant:

En contre partie je n'ai plus d'accélération 3D mais je n'ai plus de probleme de démarrage en mode graphique, j'ai aussi testé les différente solutions proposé en fin de wiki mais rien n'y fait.

Je me tourne naturellement vers l'autre wiki:

Et la j'ai mon serveur X qui ne démarre plus et je n'ai pas non plus l'accelération 3D.

J'y comprend plus rien si quelqu'un peu m'aider je l'en remercie, voici qques indications sur mon systeme:

Je te conseille d'installer en premier lieu le driver proprio fglrx.

Ensuite, tu rebootes et si l'accélération 3D n'est activée, tu ajoutes "fglrx" dans le fichier /etc/modules. La normalement la 3D devrait être activée, c'est le préalable à tout le reste.

oui mes 2 sections device sont en driver fglrx...mais toujours pas de direct rendering apres reboot (d'ailleur est ce normal que j'ai 2 sections device dans mon xorg.conf?).

Je sais pas vraiment, je pense qu'on doit pouvoir les regroupé, mais je suis pas sur.
Enfin bref, apres toute les modif, que te donne le bon vieux fglrxinfo ? toujours pareille ?
Au passage, tu as installer quel version de fglrx ?

Tu peux aussi essayer un truc du genre :

sudo aptitude purge xserver-xorg-fglrx,
tu passes ton xorg.conf avec "ati"
tu rebootes,
tu re-installer fglrx
tu re-modifie ton xorg.conf
tu reboote une dernière fois

C'est un peu tricky je sais

ca j'ai déjà testé sans succes.

Par contre pour  le "sudo aptitude purge xserver-xorg-fglrx", je ne sais pas si il y'a une différence
entre  cette commande et désinstaller les pilotes fglrx par synaptic, car ceci je l'ai fais mais quand j'ai rebooté,  après j'ai galeré pour redémarrer en mode graphique...
Au final quand le serveurX a bien voulu repartir j'ai réussis à les reinstaller mais tjs en perdant l'accélération 3D.

En fait ILS ONT TOUS TENDANCE A OUBLIER QUANT ILS VEULENT T'AIDER QUE TU AS UNE ATI 8500 ... Le probleme principale viens du fait que le drivers ne supporte plus nos cartes O.o
On a le meme probleme que les ATI 9200 il faut retourner aux drivers 8.24 ...
Des que j'ai trouver je reposte ou si j'ai oublier ca sera sur colibrix.org

C'est ce que tu as installé ... Hors les drivers ATI supportent nos cartes ( 8500 -> 9250 ) correctement que jusqu'a 8.24 c'est le driver proprietaire ... pareil sous windows XP jusqu au .25 il me semble !!! Bref en gros on est mal supporté sad

Sous Ubuntu 6.06 j'installe la version fourni par la distribution en apt-get update && install comme tu l'as fais là ... Puis je telecharge le LibGL que je met en /usr/lib ... et apres ca marche comme tu dis nikel / petit oignons !! j'ai mis une breve partie sur colibrix.org

Sinon j'ai trouvé ca http://www.nuxo.net/tutorial-37.html mais ca demande une compilation donc du telechargement et un peu de temps ... La methode de remplacement de la liGL apparement ne fonctionne plus sous Edgy, je referais un essai mais bon !!
La je regarde les sites d'achats afin de me prendre une nvidia qui ont de nouveaux drivers qui prennent en charge directement les instructions GL ... en gros tu as plus besoint de AIGLX ou XGL tu met direct Beryl O.o ... Pourtant je suis un combatant acharné du Caribou ... mais la je le sacrifie yikes
