Beryl ne marche toujours pas
Bonjours , je viens de passer de dapper drake 6.06 à edgy eft en modifiant ma sources.list car j'ai entendus dire que AIGLX était deja sous edgy eft. Mais je n'arrive toujours pas à faire marcher beryl (je le veux absolument lol c'est tellement magnifique...) Maintenant quand je lance beryl sa me dis :
beryl-manager
donne :
compiz: No composite extension
Ps : Quand je tape : glxinfo | grep rendering
La réponse me renvoie bien :
direct rendering: Yes
Je vois pas du tout se qui bug :s je sais plus quoi faire.
Voila si quelqu'un sais de quoi viens le problème et peut m'aide je lui serais extremment reconnaissant .

Je veux bien aider mais qu'elle est ta carte graphique ?
Démarres tu une session spéciale ?
PS: C'est magnifique mais cela marche pas avec mon ATI en ecran etendue donc ....

merci à toi ma carte graphique est une ATI RADEON X1300 et j'ai un écran 17pouces I-See S 172.
Je démarre avec la session gnome et j'ai aussi mis une session ou beryl se lance enfin comme dans le tutos mais sans succé beryl ne marche pas.
D'autres part si sa peut aider voici mon fichier xorg.conf :

Pour ati c mieux si je me souviens bien.
Peux tu me fournir le resultat de cette commande:
fglrxinfo
Puis je sais pas si ta carte est bonne pour : AIGLX
Moi pour mon ATI x600 j'utilise XGL tout comme avec mon laptop ou c'est une ATI mobility 9700
Et enfin:
Option "VendorName" "ATI Proprietary Driver"
C'est pas le top ces drivers ....

Bonjour,
Je viens d'essayer d'installer Beryl et j'ai exactement le meme probleme, avec la meme carte graphique. Je débute sur linux, donc est-ce que quelqu'un pourrait m'aider à résoudre ce problème. merci

Comme marqué sur le wiki, avec les drivers proprio il faut utiliser XGL.
