Wifi + tablette graphique non fonctionnelle

J'en ai marre d'Ubuntu !

Ma tablette graphique ne fonctionne pas sous Edgy (Wacom Volito 2)

Ma carte wifi ne fonctionne pas non plus (Broadcom BCM4306)
J'ai déjà vérifié les linux-headers et restricted modules pour la version actuelle.
J'ai installé les drivers via Ndiswrapper mais lorsque je vais dans l'interface réseau pour activer la carte, si je clique sur Activer rien ne se passe.
Voici le contenu de iwconfig

Bonjour,

La carte wifi est bien installée! Je ne vois pas où est le problème... Il reste à la configurer à la main...
On passe en root:

su
ifconfig eth0 down
iwconfig eth0 mode Managed
iwconfig eth0 essid nom_du_reseau key s:laclefwep
ifconfig eth0 up

Pour avoir internet (pour qu'une adresse ip soit attribuée automatiquement par le routeur):
dhcpcd eth0

et voila !

Tenez moi au courant !

Le truc c'est que je ne connais pas les paramètres du réseau nom, clé wep, ... car je veux me connecter à un réseau sans fil disponible dans un lieu public (faculté,gare,... )

Dans ce cas là, toujours en root:

iwlist eth0 scanning

Devrait afficher la liste des réseaux disponibles...

Je suis pas sur qu'il y a un réseau disponible mais normalement il devrait y en avoir un je  crois.

Note j'ai pas fait la manip au-dessus, je sais pas si je devais

Pour le vérifier, il reste toujours la solution de revenir à windows et de voir s'il detecte des réseaux.
Si aucun réseau n'est trouvé, alors tout est normal... sinon... ndiswrapper est peut-être mal installé (je suppose que tu utilises ndiswrapper); Si tel était le cas, je te dirais comment le réinstaller proprement

Maintenant essaye (en root):

rmmod ndiswrapper

puis:

modprobe ndiswrapper

et copie colle ce que te renvoie la commande:

dmesg

Bon bon bon, dmesg n'affiche rien en rapport avec l'erreur que tu obtiens...

J'ai eu un probleme avec une carte wifi USB sous Linux un jour, elle était censée fonctionner en USB2 et pourtant ne marchait correctement qu'en USB1... (c'est une piste comme une autre, essaye de forcer l'USB1 dans le bios).

Maintenant, je ne tourne pas sous Ubuntu, (mais sous Suse, qui est très bien d'ailleurs !), et je ne sais pas ce qui est installé par défaut sous cette distribution.

Cependant: La version de ndiswrapper que tu utilises, 1.22 n'est plus à jour; Voilà une bonne occasion de réinstaller ndiswrapper proprement: Tu trouveras la version 1.32 sur http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=93482

Je te conseille de telecharger les sources et de compiler tout ça toi même.
Marche à suivre:
Virer ndiswrapper; je suppose que c'est un rpm, donc:
rmmod ndiswrapper
rpm -e ndiswrapper

Si tu l'as compilé toi même avec make et tout et tout, retourne dans le dossier où tu as fait le make puis fait make uninstall

Bon, revenons à notre archive de ndiswrapper 1.32:

Decompresse l'archive (avec un utilitaire graphique ou via la console:

tar xzf ndiswrapper-1.32.tar.gz

puis:

cd ndiswrapper-1.32.tar.gz

puis:

make

puis:

make install

Assure toi que tu disposes des sources du kernel avant de commencer tout ça!

puis, pour être sur que tout est bien viré:

ndiswrapper -r bcmwl5

puis:

ndiswrapper -i lenomdufichierinf

(le fichier .inf doit être placé dans un dossier avec l'intégralité du répertoire contenant les pilotes windows)

puis:

modprobe ndiswrapper

puis tu réessaye le scan...

Si ça ne marche toujours pas, je ne vois pas de quel côté chercher.

Bon courage à toi, je ne pourrai plus te guider ce soir (je suis un lâââche, je sais...), mais partiels obligent, révisions!!


PS: assure-toi d'être root avant de commencer tout ça !

Non, je ne veux pas me faire taper sur les doigts...

De toutes façons, les cartes WIFI usb sous linux, peu importe la distribution, c'est jamais génial (sauf peut-être celles équipées de chipset Ralink et Athéros, qui ont leur pilotes natifs sous linux).

Je parles pas forcément des cartes wifi, je parles du système en général (stabilité, rapidité, ...)

Bon, allez, dernier message pour ce soir:

Je ne connais pas Ubuntu, je ne donnerai pas d'avis sur cette distribution.
J'utilise Linux depuis plus de 3ans maintenant... J'ai essayé Red Hat et Mandrake pendant plusieurs mois, avant d'opter définitivement pour Suse: Pourquoi? Je n'en sais rien, cette distrib répondait à toutes mes attentes, je ne me voyais pas en changer...
Le bureau est KDE par défaut (on peut mettre Gnome, certes, mais Suse desktop est vraiment faite pour KDE), donc ca peut boulverser les habitudes des utilisateurs de Gnome... Le kernel est proposé en deux versions: entièrement libre, ou avec tous les modules propriétaires qui vont bien haha. L'interface de configuration, Yast, est vraiment puissante dans tous les sens du terme: elle a longtemps été enviée par de nombreuses autres distributions...

Elle convient aussi bien aux débutants qu'aux initiés, tu n'es pas saoulé toutes les 5 minutes comme avec Mandriva par des assistants à la *** qui te perdent plus qu'ils ne t'aident.

Et puis...

J'aime le caméléon, je trouve qu'il a plus de charme que le logo d'Ubuntu !

Pour te faire un avis: télécharge le Live CD de Suse !

De toutes façons, Linux demande un apprentissage, c'est jamais du "tout cuit" et c'est tant mieux !

J'étais comme toi avant, je venais raler sur les forums en disant "Windows c'est tellement plus simple...je retourne sous windows si vous ne m'aidez pas" et puis finalement... Je ne peux plus concevoir mon PC sans Linux à l'intérieur...

Un conseil: trouve un geek dans le coin qui pourra t'épauler (y'a surement un club linux près de chez toi)

Merci pour ton aide, moi aussi je suis un linuxien convaincu mais çà m'énerve parce que cette carte wifi elle fonctionnait avant que je réinstalle ubuntu après avoir testé une autre distribution.
