[Abandonné] Disque dur WD3200AAJS - Démarre puis s'arrête tout seul

Salut à tous,

Voilà, je viens de retrouver un vieux disque externe Western Digital de 320Go qui traînait et qui, auparavant, n'avait jamais eu de problème (mais il n'a pas eu à fonctionner depuis au moins 2 ans).

Quand je l'allume (que l'USB soit branché ou non à l'ordinateur), il se met à tourner sans, me semble-t-il, de bruit bizarre ou autre click of death mais au bout de 2 ou 3 "essais" (je sais pas comment appeler ça autrement) pour lire ou se positionner, il s'arrête tout seul et ne tourne plus (comme s'il revenait à sa position d'arrêt).

Il est invisible dans les périphériques mais sous Gsmartcontrol, il apparaît sous le sigle "no information found".

J'imagine qu'il est mort ou pas loin mais si malgré tout vous avez une piste, n'hésitez pas.

Ben j’admets que le nombre de secteurs fait rêver mais ... ça sent + le bug que le rêve (malheureusement)!

Je vais essayer de récupérer, dans une décharge ou autre, un vieux PC en SATA pour essayer.

Ce qui m'a étonné c'est que les informations données par hdparm et dmesg l'ont été alors que le disque était bien branché, sous tension et connecté en USB à l'ordi mais que le disque ne "tournait" pas (aucun bruit mis à part les 2 ou 3 essais du début).

Question bonus : Est-ce qu'un disque externe acheté en France peut fonctionner en Amérique du nord (en ayant adapté la prise électrique bien entendu, chuis pas complètement bête non plus, faut bien qu'ça rentre dans la prise) ?
