[tant pis]Une resolution qui ne tiens pas...!

Salut a tous...
Bon je me décide à poster car j'ai écumé tous ce que je pouvais et je n'ai pas trouver de solution.
Je suis sous Feisty, et je trouvais qu'il y avait quelques ralentissement dans les applis. genre inkscape... avec les drivers nvidia-glx qui somme toute marchait bien (effets de bureau,3d, etc...).
Jai donc installer les nvidia-glx-new comme indiqué dans la doc. pour tirer au mieux parti de ma 6800 go...
Et apres moulte peripetie et divers plantage de serveur X j'ai finalemet reussi...

Le souci est que la resolution que je souhaite, 1400X900, n'est pas dispo...je peux la selectionner dans nvidia-settings, mais a chaque redemarrage je retourne a du 1024x768...
J'ai pourtant mofif. mon xorg.conf que voici...:

Merci pour vos réponse...J'avais déja a peu pres tout essayer...

mais j'ai céder au reflexe windowsien en reinstallant tout...
J'avais mis un sacrée bronx dans les paquet en testant tout et n'importe quoi et je n'avais pas de xorg.conf d'origine...
Meme nautilus commencai a foiré....

J'ai installé nvidia-glx-new et tout a l'air de fonctionner meme si je n'ai plus de tty mais sa je commence a etre habitué...
