Upgrade Dapper >> Edgy : problème ACPI

hmm Quelques soucis apres upgrade Dapper vers Edgy :

Erreur dans Journeaux système :

ACPI: Unable to turn cooling device [dffdfdec] 'on'

Et l'alimentation n'est pas toujours coupée automatiquement lors de l'arret.

J'ai passé 1/2 journée sur forums et google sans trouver de solution ( essai d'ajout de acpi=off a la fin de la ligne kernel  de grub >>> Kernel panic ! ) , alors je poste ici.

Mon matos : HP pavilion Athlon XP.

Merci d'avance à tout linuxien compétant qui trouvera un peut de temps pour se pencher sur ce problème ( bug ?) smile .

Ci dessous réponse à dmesg épurée des lignes supposées inutiles pour faire loger dans volume disponible. Y'a pas mal de choses bizarres autour de ACPI ?

tu as essaye apm=off acpi=force et vire le paquet apmd et installe le paquet acpid

Pas d'amélioration. sad
Lorsque je quitte ubuntu, au lieu que le pc s'éteigne y'a le ventilo qui par à fond ...!

as tu vire dans le bios de ta machine apm & enable acpi

Le gestionnaire de bios de mon (vieux) pc HP (F1 au boot) ne me propose pas d'option relative à apm ou acpi ...
Serait-ce configurable ailleurs ?

merde un hp lol
si trop vieux  dans le bios cherche power management
enable power management/apm

vire le paquet acpid rajoute apmd
et dans grub essaye acpi=off apm=on

Avec acpi=off et apm=on .... j'ai un beau boot bloqué sur Kernel panic.

en plus en virant acpid j'ai aussi viré gnome-session et je suis passé prêt de l'infractus devant un écran tout marron avant de réussir a réintégrer ça en mode console : apt-get install gnome-session avec plein d'erreurs que je vais maintenant m'attacher à corriger ....

papou ,  dsl  sad   donc ton pc gere l'acpi avait tu vire apmd la premiere fois  qd tu avais passer les commentaire  apm=off acpi=force

Tu n'as pas à être désolé, rien ne m'oblige à suivre les conseils reçus. wink

Oui, j'avais viré apmd via synaptic. 
J'ai l'impression que la gestion APCI faite par le nouveau noyeau 2.6.17 fourni par Ubuntu et mon bios ne s'entendent pas trop bien.
Je continu mes recherches ....

Si tu as d'autres idées, elles seront bienvenues .

Bon, ben ..... c'est toujours pareil.
+ 1 "ACPI: Unable to turn cooling device [dffdfdec] 'on' " toutes les 6 secondes dans les journeaux système.
Inutile de bricoler les sensord, xsensors et autres acpid : c'est un message du Kernel. Je ne suis visiblement pas le seul dans ce cas et je prends mon mal en patience en attente de la prochaine revision ....

Je reposte à ce moment là.

J'ai exactement le meme probleme sur mon Compaq: erreurs ACPI toutes les 6 secondes dans le syslog, et le shutdown freeze en faisant un bruit de ventilo.


Google m'a donne plein de suggestions, en particulier les arguments acpi=force ou noapic... mais rien n'a marche.

J'insiste encore mais je commence a perdre la foi!

De mon coté j'ai laissé tombé les recherches en attendant la dist-upgrade vers Feisty.

J'ai pu vérifier par ailleurs, en réinstallant un 6.06LTS tout neuf sur une partition libre ( même hardware ), que cette version n'a pas le problème. 

Si ça se trouve, le bugg est liée aux traces laissées par les dist-upgrade successives ( 5.10 > 6.06 > 6.10 )  et une install propre le résoudrait, mais j'ai pas le courage de tout effacer ....

Je viens de faire une instal toute neuve de Feisty Beta ..... c'est toujours pareil :

Toujours le même soucis avec Feisty à jour.
C'est maintenant un bugg officiel :

On peut stopper l'écriture dans les fichiers log avec

sudo modprobe -r thermal

Est-ce risqué ??
