Faire reconnaitre mon nouvel écran sous feisty
Bonjour à tous, cela fait des heures que je parcours le forum et les tutos et je n'arrive pas à résoudre mon problème.
J'avais installé Ubuntu 7.04 avec un écran P90f de viewsonic reconnu à l'installation. J'avais plein de résolution différente et de rafraichissement y compris à plus de 1800 ! !
J'ai changé d'écran ce week-end : le samsung Syncmaster 206 BW (20 pouces 16/10è). Il à une résolution de 1680x1050 et 60hz pour le rafraichissement.
Hors ubuntu ne met au mieux que 1280x1024 avec 55hz de rafraichissement ?? ! !
A priori d'après le serveur xconf il me détecte toujours mon P90f ?? ! ! J'ai une carte graphique Nvidia 7600GS et j'utilise Beryl (avec le driver nvidia glx-new).

P.S : RECTIFICATIONS ! ! ! Dans ce que me dit le serveur xconf vous constaterez qu'à Moniteur il met : 206 BW et la résolution 1680x1050 apparait. J'ai déjà modifié manuellement ces valeurs, c'est pourquoi cela apparait

Salut,
tu te déconnectes de ta session, puis CTRL+ALT+F1, tu te logges et pour reconfigurer xorg la commande est la suivante :
sudo dpkg-reconfigure xserver-xorgIl va donc redédecter ton clavier, souris et écran, carte graph.
Conseil : sudo cp /etc/X11/xorg.conf /etc/X11/xorg.conf.backup pour sauvegarder ton fichier en cas de pépin (peu probable).
edit : oups, je n'avais pas vu ton PS. . . dans ce cas je ne sais pas désolé. Tu peux toujours tenter. . .

Bonjour, je reviens pour mon problème, j'ai suivi la méthode de Okanda et pour une fois la commande à eu l'air de marcher.
J'ai toujours un problème au niveau de la fréquence qui est à 50 hz et non pas à 60 hz ?? Par contre la résolution est bien passée de 1024 à 1680x1050 donc pas de problème de ce coté la.
En revanche un autre problème est apparu depuis que j'ai fait ça : Les fenêtres ne sont pas entières ! !?? ! !
Je m'explique lorsque j'ouvre Firefox ou le navigateur de fichier, il n'apparait plus en haut à droite la croix pour fermer ou le trait pour réduire la femêtre et le carré pour l'agrandir ?? ! !
De plus lorsque je lance une console j'ai droit à un magnifique rectangle tout blanc et je ne vois rien à l'intérieur (sauf du blanc).
Comment remédier de nouveau à ce problème sans avoir à ré-installer Ubunut (ça me ferait chier, je suis pas passé de windows à linux pour faire la même chose, et ce, plus souvent ! ! ! !)

c'est normal, je pense qu'il te suffit de rajouter l'option suivante dans ton xorg.conf :
Dans la section "screen" :
Option "AddARGBGLXVisuals" "true"

edit : pour la fréquence de raffrachissement je ne sais pas par contre. As-tu essayé de le configurer via l'utilitaire nvidia?
edit 2 : je viens de voir que l'option dans screen est bien activée dans ton fichier xorg. Peut-être que la configuration l'a enlevé ?

Merci Okanda, j'ai tout bêtement recopié les deux commandes qui manquaient dans mon nouveau xconf et maintenant j'ai de nouveau un terminal normal dans lequel je peux voir les commandes que j'inscris et j'ai de nouveau mais icones pour diminuer, agrandir et fermer mes fenêtres. 
Rien que pour ça : MERCI
Maintenant reste à savoir pour le rafraichissement de l'écran ??
Car dans mon nouveau xconf j'ai pourtant mis les valeurs trouvés sur le site constructeur, en horizontale et verticale.
Je suis toujours à 50 hz ?
Si quelqu'un à une idée....:/

Salut,
es-tu sûr que ton écran supporte une telle fréquence de rafraîchissement avec une telle résolution?
Parce-que plus tu augmentes la résolution, plus tu es limité en fréquence de rafraîchissement.

moi aussi j'ai un 22 pouce et la meme carte graphique et j'ai aussi un max de 55 hz alors que sous windows , il supporte 60 hz
mais bon , visuellement , je vois pas la difference ...
avec nvidia setting , j'ai defini ma frequence a 60 hz et dans le menu deroulant il apparit 55 hz et ...98 hz !!!
a n'y rien comprendre mais comme j'ai pas envi de casser mon ecran et que visuellemnt , je ne vois pas la difference ....
vivement la prochaine sortie de xorg qui devrai detecter automatiquement les resolutions et frequences
Ubuntu 12.04.01 LTS 64 Bits.

même chose pour moi, sous windows Vista l'écran est détecté directement à 1680x1050 à 60hz alors que sous ubuntu je n'ai droit qu'a 50 hz et encore au niveau résolution je l'ai modifié à la main comme décris plus haut.
P.S : je suis branché en DVI, et ma carte est en PCI-express.....?

oui j'avais vu cette page, c'est grace à cela que j'ai pu reconfigurer la fréquence à la main, mais je sais pas quoi faire pour le tôt de rafraichissement....
En même temps je suis qu'à 50 au lieu de 60, c'est pas la cata, mais bon sous vista on voit la différence un peu...
