Help HP scanjet 5300c

Hello,

Nouvek utilisateur d'Ubuntu je n'arrive pas à installer mon scanner HP 5300C, XSane me répond qu'il n'y a aucune périphérique disponible

j'avais le même problème que toi et j'ai utilisé ce tuto dans la doc :

mon scan est maintenant reconnu mais je suis toujours en quête d'un tuyau pour le faire fonctionner correctement ; en effet, il s'arrête à la moitié du scan...

tu me diras si le tien fonctionne correctement après avoir mis en place ce qui est dit dans le tuto ?

Dont ce sujet. Je scanne toujours en 300 dpi, le passage sous edgy n'ayant rien changé pour moi.

Après mon upgrade de Dapper vers Edgy Xsane ne vois plus mon Snanner Scanjet 5300C?
J'avais eu quelque difficultés avec lui sous Dapper qui s'étaient résolus en scannant à 300dpi.

A noté qu'au démarrage j'ai une erreur sur un port USB :

Ca faisait des mois (depuis Breezy je crois) que mon scanner HP 5300C n'était plus reconnu.
Après Edgy je suis passé sous debian Etch noyau 2.6.18: scanner toujours pas fonctionnel.
Et Oh surprise, en installant le noyau 2.6.22-rc4 (en Sid?) mon scanner refonctionne avec Xsane!
Il m'a fallu quand même décocher "Visionneuse" pour "Enregistrer" et scanner en "12color" plutôt que color dans sane,sinon le chariot se bloquait à la numérisation.
Bien entendu sous ce noyau je n'ai plus les drivers nvidia, mais j'ai besoin de ce scanner.:)
Je ne sais ce que ça peut donner sur Ubuntu mais ça peut être une piste non?
