[Résolu] Installation Xubuntu : ça coince dans les partitions !
Bonjour à tous,
Je viens de faire l'acquisition d'un nouvel ordinateur, que j'ai commandé sans OS pour pouvoir installer Xubuntu dessus (je n'aime décidément pas l'interface Unity, mais ce n'est pas le sujet). la machine est équipée d'un SSD de 240 Go sur lequel je compte installer mon système, et un HDD de 2To sur lequel je veux mettre mes docs/musique/vidéos.
Avant de me lancer dans l'installation proprement dite, j'ai testé le système avec un Live-USB Xubuntu : lorsque la fenêtre "ordre de boot" apparaît, le système ne veut pas entendre parler de booter en USB( (je cite : "Missing in configuration file gfxboot.c32 not a COM32R image, Keyword path"), mais en revanche, s'il démarre en UEFI, tout marche (web, son, vidéo etc.) et Gparted voit parfaitement les deux disques durs.
Donc je me suis lancé dans l'installation. Je souhaitais partitionner manuellement mes disques comme suit :
- sur le SSD /dev/sda avec :
sda1 en EXT4, 120 Go, avec point de montage " / "
sda2 en EFI, 50 Mo
sda3 en swap (même si ce n'est pas apparemment forcément utile), 4 Go
et je me suis gardé un peu plus de 100 Go, au cas où je voudrais installer un jour un système en parallèle à Xubuntu ;
- sur le HDD : ∕dev/sdb avec une partition sdb1, en EXT4, avec point de montage " /home " qui occupe la totalité des 2To du disque.
Et pour fini, je laisse le SSD /dev/sda en chargeur d'amorçage.
Et c'est là que ça coince : quand je clique lance l'installation après avoir défini mes choix, j'ai un double message qui dit :
"Le microcode de ce système a démarré l'installateur en mode UEFI mais il semble exister d'autres systèmes d'exploitation qui utilisent le mode BIOS. Si vous poursuivez l'installation en mode UEFI, il peut être difficile de redémarrer ces systèmes ultérieurement."
suivi de :
"Vous pouvez forcer l'installation en mode UEFI si vous souhaitez poursuivre malgré tout et risquer de ne pas pouvoir démarrer les autres systèmes installés Si vous souhaitez conserver la possibilité de démarrer les autres systèmes installés, vous ne devriez PAS forcer l'installation en mode UEFI".
Si je clique sur continuer, rien ne se passe, et si je clique sur revenir en arrière, rien ne se passe non plus (ou alors c'est TRÈS lent)
Comprend qui peut, comme disait le regretté Boby... Qu'est-ce qui ne va pas dans ma démarche ? Y-a-t-il des incompatibilités matérielles ?

Ton SSD et ton HDD sont bien reconnus mais je crois que tu t'y prends mal. Je te suggère de procéder comme suit en utilisant Gparted depuis une session live (choix "Try Ubuntu without installing" au démarrage) sur ta LiveUSB Xubuntu :
- création d'une table de partition GPT (*) sur le SSD (voir doc officielle Gparted "Création d'une nouvelle table de partitions")
- création des partitions sur le SSD
- création d'une table de partition GPT (*) sur le HDD
- création des partitions sur le HDD
Quand tout ce partitionnement est réalisé, tu peux faire l'installation en sélectionnant "Autre chose" à l'étape "Type d'installation", puis en t'aidant de la doc Installation d'Ubuntu : partitionnement manuel pour finaliser à la main l'affectation des partitions déjà créées.
EDIT : je remarque dans ton projet du post #1 que tu avais prévu une partition EFI en partition sda2 : même si ça peut marcher comme ça, je te conseille de faire dans le classique, c'est à dire de placer cette partition EFI en début du SSD (en partition sda1), et seulement à la suite de placer la partition racine de Xubuntu.
(*) fais bien gaffe parce que le type de table de partition par défaut de Gparted est MSDOS et ça ne convient pas : il faut sélectionner GPT

Ton boot-info indique que les MBR de tes disques sont en mode legacy donc certainement de type MSdos donc apte à booter en legacy et pas du tout en EFI
Je pense tout simplement qu'il n'y a pas encore de table de partition de créée et que ce cas est mal prévu.

Mais il n'y a rien sur les disques
Tu vas lancer 'gparted' et avec l'onglet 'périphérique', tu va créer une table de partition au format 'GPT". En effet il faut ce format pour booter en EFI.
Tu devras ensuite créer une partition bootable.
C'est mieux de la mettre en premier.
SDA1 4 Mo Je dis bien 4 Mo car c'est suffisant pour booter mais gparted ne voudra pas, il faudra donc que tu mettes 33 Mo c'est ce qu'il me semble qu'il accepte comme taille minima. Donc 50 Mo c'est bien. Le format est FAT32 et il doit y avoir un drapeau boot.
Puis après ta partition racine /
SDA2 30 Go me semblent suffisant.
Puis après ta partition swap. Je te confirme qu'elle ne semble pas utile, de plus sur un SSD c'est carrément inutile.
Puis après sur le disque dur une partition EXT4 avec un point de montage DATA. ou MesDonnees ou Personnel
C'est dans ce disque que tu mettras tes données personnelles.
Voici comment tu pourras faire pointer directement dans cette partition lorsque l'installation sera finie.
Je te déconseille de créer sur le disque dur une partition contenant /home car ce répertoire contient les paramètres de lancement des applications. Il est donc préférable d'avoir ces paramètres dans le SSD pour y accéder rapidement.

Merci pour vos conseils, ça marche... jusqu'à un certain point !
L'installation s'est déroulée sans problème, mise au point des partitions comprise. Le système fonctionne, pas de soucis.
J'ai réussi à créer les liens entre les dossiers de mon répertoire /home et ceux du HDD créés, comme indiqué par Bougron.
Sauf que mes fichiers et dossiers sur ce disque sont en lecture seule ! Et pas moyen de modifier tout ça par les propriétés desdits fichiers/dossiers (il me marque propriétaire "root" ou un truc dans le genre).
La bonne nouvelle, c'est que je m'en suis rendu compte AVANT de stocker mes données dessus !
Je me demande si ce n'est pas le point de montage de mon HDD qui pose problème : il n'apparaît pas dans /media mais tout seul comme un dossier "NomduHDD" dans le système de fichiers.
Qu'est-ce que j'ai loupé ?
Est-ce que je peux m'en sortir en recommençant le partionnage de mon HDD avec Gparted ? Ou je reprends l'installation à zéro ?
[Edit] : le système a crashé complètement : écran noir, plus rien ne démarre à moins d'utiliser un live USB. Bon ben me v'là reparti comme en quarante pour une installation...

Une réinstallation plus tard, me revoilà avec mon HDD où je ne peux ni écrire ni supprimer des fichiers, même en étant en session avec droit d'administration, alors que le reste tourne.
Quand je fais clic droit sur le dossier "donnees" (qui correspond à mon HDD) puis "Permissions", je n'ai aucun choix possible (tout est grisé), et le propriétaire est "root (root)". Je lis :
Accès : Lecture & Écriture
Groupe : root
Accès : lecture seule
Autres : Lecture seule
La question reste posée : qu'est-ce que j'ai loupé dans l'installation ?
P.S. : du coup, je n'ai même pas essayé de reprendre la procédure proposée par Bougron pour déplacer mes fichiers de /home vers le HDD.

Pas d'inquiétude, c'est seulement un réglage à faire dans le fichier /etc/fstab ( EDIT : et il faudra également "se rendre propriétaire du point de montage" comme j'explique dans ce post.)
Pour qu'on puisse t'indiquer précisément quoi faire, je te prie de démarrer une session sur ton Ubuntu installé et depuis cette session de faire un Boot-Info, puis donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.

La ligne de montage de ta partition sdb1 visible dans cet extrait me semble correcte :
# /donnees was on /dev/sdb1 during installation
UUID=f96b004e-a76e-4190-8e84-0e3b5cc7c578 /donnees ext4 defaults 0 2
Il reste à faire la commande pour te rendre propriétaire du point de montage /donnees en passant la commande suivante ("nom_utilisateur" sera à remplacer par ton nom d'utilisateur) :
sudo chown -R nom_utilisateur:nom_utilisateur /donnees

Super, ça marche ! J'accède à mes dossiers et à leur contenu ! Je vais donc basculer cette conversation en "résolue"
