Non, je ne savais pas... désolé !
Sur l'air de la chanson de Brel "beau, beau et con à la fois", en ajoutant vieux...
J'ai retrouvé un long câble d'imprimante, pour le moment, ça me sauve la mise, j'ai quelques urgences administratives.

Bonjour à tous !
Je reviens - malheureusement - vers vous car suite à une réinstallation de la V20.04 après de mauvaises expériences avec la V22.04, j'ai (encore ?) des soucis avec mon imprimante HP. J'ai pourtant suivi à la lettre les pages d'aide sur le site HP Developers Portal.
Impossible de scanner, l'imprimante est détectée mais ne scanne pas.J'ai tenté la procédure dans ce fil, à savoir désinstaller et réinstaller, supprimé ippusbxd,

sudo apt-get remove ippusbxd

et vérifié que j'étais bien dans le bon groupe, rien n'y fait.
J'ai redémarré l'ordinateur lorsque c'était nécessaire.
Je précise que, tant en USB qu'en Wi-fi, je peux imprimer sans souci, seul le scan n'est pas reconnu.

Là, tout semble installé.
Je démarre le "Numériseur de documents" (Xubuntu 20.04), j'ai une fenêtre du HP Device Manager me disant qu'un Driver Plug-in Installation est nécessaire.
Bon, je clique sur "Next", je sélectionne le téléchargement sur la ligne marquée "Recommandé", Next, et là, fenêtre d'erreur du HP Device Manager me disant que : "file does not match its checksum. File may have been corrupted or altered".
Je clique OK, là, dernière fenêtre m'annonçant :
"Failed to install Plug-in.
Either you have chosen to skip the Plug-in installation or entered incorrect Password."
Je n'ai rien "skipé" ni entré de mot de passe.

Dernière précision, en suivant les recommandations du Wiki Ubuntu concernant HPLIP, j'ai tenté le téléchargement du greffon propriétaire, voici le retour :

Bonsoir,

Peut-être essayer de l'installer manuellement en récupérant l'archive hplip-3.20.3-plugin.run sur ce site : Plugins ?

Pour tenter l'installation, faire la commande suivante à partir du répertoire où se trouve l'archive :

sh hplip-3.20.3-plugin.run

J'ai quitté par un Ctrl C.

Par contre, l'imprimante a été remplacée par l'imprimante réseau à qui demander un test d'impression fonctionne mais demander un scan ne fonctionne pas.

Donc je suis remonté au post #29 d'Ylag, j'ai téléchargé le *.run, puis le .run.asc qui semble être la clé d'authentification, téléchargé via "clic droit, enregistrer la cible sous". Je donne cette information pour ceux qui auraient le problème, car si on fait un simple clic, on a le fichier texte qui s'affiche dans le navigateur, c'est tout.
En faisant un clic-droit, le fichier *.run est enregistré comme script shell, et le fichier *.run.asc est enregistré comme signature OpenPGP détachée et le logiciel d'installation HPLIP peut s'en servir correctement.
J'ai demandé un scan, l'imprimante a été détectée, et lorsque j'ai demandé de scanner, le logiciel HPLIP s'est ouvert en mode GUI en me demandant d'installer automatiquement le fichier *.run correspondant en le récupérant sur le web ou d'aller le chercher dans l'ordinateur. Je lui ai indiqué le chemin (téléchargements), il l'a utilisé pour installer correctement ce qu'il avait besoin.
Maintenant, le scanner et l’imprimante fonctionnent.
Merci à vous deux pour votre réponse rapide, à grigouille pour m'avoir fait peur (désinstallation des imprimantes...) et à Ylag pour avoir donné la solution finale.
Certainement un bug chez HP lors de l'installation via le terminal en mode console.

En tout cas, j'ai appris pas mal de choses sur ce problème, c'est intéressant.

Super si ça marche.

En fait, il faut supprimer les imprimantes puis les réinstaller. Si on ne passe pas par la case suppression, on a plein d'imprimantes qui traînent.
Donc mieux vaut faire le ménage avant.

Oui, je suis d'accord avec toi, et j'avais supprimé les imprimantes puisque lorsqu'on la branche, L'OS les intègre immédiatement, mais la procédure que j'ai suivi sur le site HP n'a pas fonctionné deux fois de suite...
Un truc curieux, c'est que sur le site HP, le seul téléchargement des pilotes est dernière version, je n'ai pas pensé aller chercher la précédente, pensant qu'elle était OK. Ben non, elle ne fonctionne pas encore parfaitement et complètement.
