On voit que le répertoire de "test" ( home) est bien présent. Donc tout baigne.

Je vais donc formater comme tu l'as fait et voir ce qui se passe

Sans surprise, le répertoire home  a été viré
valider next ==> semble impossible

C'est classique: Testdisk est fait pour récupérer des partitions supprimées et pas encore formatées.
Dans ce contexte, je vais utiliser photorec.

Je vais récupérer cela dans mon bureau, en me positionnant sur la bonne ligne  et en frappant le caractère C
Je valide et c'est parti. On voit le temps estimé, la quantité de fichiers qui se récupèrent. Voici la fin.

bonjour,
j'ai remonté le disque de 20.04...
et redémarré...
j'avais renommé le fichier mdadm.conf en .bak
le raid est reconnu au lancement en md127...
pour voir je fais un testdisk

NB : je n'ai pas fait de reformatage après mon create... à aucun moment...
la seule ligne un peu casse gueule à par mon create pourrait être

Pourrais--tu faire un rapport smartctl de tes quatre disques

sudo smartctl -s on  -a /dev/sda

Les quatre disques sont en bon état. Je ne sais pas  pourquoi le raids n'a été automatiquement redécouvert.  Tu as certainement  oublié de booter après avoir rebranché les disques/installer mdadm
Si le raid avait été découvert, tu n'aurais pas pu faire la création car ressources occupées...

j'ai pu réunir 5 disques de 500 Go...
j'en trouverai bien 4 de bon je pense...
ce soir, je copie mes disques...
je fais cela avec ddrescue...
je ne pense pas pouvoir me remettre dessus ce weekend mais je verrai à faire un point pour lundi...

Si ton "create" a fait des dégâts, je ne connais que la solution de restaurer la totalité de chaque disque. Mais tu n'as pas de sauvegarde faite avant l'incident.

Les traces ne donnent pas d'explication complémentaire pour le message d'erreur.

On va tenter de regarder le contenu du premier bloc raids de chaque disque.

Mais je suis incompétent pour déchiffrer ce qui sera produit. Alors, si tu pouvais faire aussi la même chose sur un autre raid5 resté opérationnel,  la comparaison pourrait aider.
