À vrai dire... non ! Enfin je ne crois pas... non, j'avais un bout de fenêtre steam qui m'indiquait la synchronisation, une espace de saut de l'écran, et puis ça revenait à la fenêtre principale de steam.
Donc c'est vrai que je n'avait pas cette apparition blanche !

Toujours pas de Settings.ini dans ~/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/32360/pfx/drive_c/users/steamuser/AppData/Roaming/LucasArts/The Secret of Monkey Island Special Edition ?

EDIT : tiens, je vois sur ProtonDB des rapports plus récents qui indiquent qu'il faut installer des éléments supplémentaires pour que le jeu se lance. Je ne sais pas si c'est suite à une mise à jour de quelque chose ou si les rapports précédents omettaient ça.

Toujours pas de settings.ini.
[Par contre j'avais seulement le choix entre 32360 et 1887720 dans compatdata, maintenant j'ai 0 en plus...]

Ne t'occupe pas du dossier 0, sa présence est normale.

Il faudrait installer Winetricks ou Protontricks (qui est un wrapper pour Winetricks). Protontricks est un peu compliqué à installer, du coup on va d'abord essayer avec Winetricks tout seul. Le problème, c'est que la version des dépôts est peut-être trop ancienne mais on va voir.

D'abord, on l'installe :

sudo apt-get install winetricks

Ensuite, on exporte le bon préfixe Proton :

export WINEPREFIX="$HOME/.steam/steam/steamapps/compatdata/32360/pfx"

Puis on essaie d'installer les éléments apparemment nécessaires à MI :

winetricks d3dcompiler_47 xact

Là, soit tout se passe bien, soit il te dit qu'il ne trouve pas un des deux paquets ou les deux, ce qui indiquerait que ta version de Winetricks est trop vieille. Donne le retour de toute façon.

Alors oui.
Le jeu se lance. J'ai le menu principal et je peux naviguer dedans. Mais au moment d'entamer une partie, il me dit que "L'édition classique est seulement disponible en anglais." Je clique "ok" et il se ferme.
En fait j'ai choisi "français" la première fois et il ne me demande plus la langue.
Mais je pense surtout qu'il plante en tentant de lancer la version remasterisée... ce qui rejoindrait les soucis de cg...

À tout hasard, dans les propriétés du jeu sur Steam, tu dois avoir un onglet Langue. Si tu choisis l'anglais là (ce qui va probablement retélécharger une partie des données), ça fonctionne ?

Et maintenant qu'il s'est lancé, est-ce que tu as le fichier Settings.ini ? Si oui, poste son contenu.

Non j'ai réussi à mettre tout steam en français mais je n'ai pas trouvé d'option pour remettre le jeu en anglais.
Par contre j'ai le settings.ini !

Le 1920x1080 correspond à la résolution de ton écran ? EDIT : oui, c'est en page 1, donc ça c'est bon.

Tu peux aussi changer la langue là mais je ne sais pas quelle valeur il faut mettre pour l'anglais. Essaie language=0, on sait jamais.
S'il ne se lance toujours pas, essaie à nouveau de mettre PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% comme options de lancement. Et tu peux aussi essayer de mettre shaders à 0 dans le Settings.ini mais c'est un peu au pif (ça peut aussi bien être en rapport avec le rendu que simplement un switch qui correspond à la version remasterisée ou celle d'origine).

Alors alors mine de rien ça évolue.
Le language=0 donne l'anglais mais ça ne change rien au problème. Simplement je n'ai pas l'avertissement quant à la langue avant le plantage.
Le PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% ne change rien.
Par contre après avoir modifié le shaders à 0, j'ai eu la première image du générique du jeu (une vue de l'île de Mêlée, pour les fans.) Puis plantage.

Il doit donc y avoir deux soucis distincts. Celui de la cg qui m'empêche d'avoir la version remasterisée ; mais aussi un autre soucis pour le lancement du programme (sur lequel cette histoire de shaders semble influer).

Remplace PROTON_USE_WINED3D=1 %command% par :

PROTON_LOG=1 %command%

Ferme Steam et relance-le en ligne de commande puis lance le jeu. Donne le retour du terminal ainsi que le contenu du fichier .log créé dans ton dossier perso.

J'ai le son des menus. Quand l'intro doit se lancer, il me semble que dans l'original, effectivement, la musique se lance. Là ça plante à ce moment là.

En fait, je posais la question parce que dans le log je vois des erreurs en rapport avec de la lecture de MP3. Mais si tu as de la musique dans le menu (pas juste des sons), ce n'est vraisemblablement pas lié.

Je vois aussi que sur ProtonDB il y a un rapport qui indique qu'il faut installer les dll Media Foundation, qui ont trait à la lecture de vidéos. C'est en partie géré par Proton GE mais peut-être pas complètement. Et s'il faut installer MF en plus, on n'est pas rendus.

En tout cas, je ne pense pas que le problème vienne de la version remasterisée vu qu'elle s'affiche par-dessus la version normale. Concrètement, il n'y a qu'une version et on bascule sur les graphismes à la volée.

Je n'ai pas de musique dans les menus, seulement des sons. Le début de l'intro (qui arrive après les menus) pourrait très bien être le lancement de la musique. De mémoire dans le jeu en version originale, la zic commençait là.

Vérifie ensuite s'il y a du changement. Si ce n'est pas le cas, est-ce que mettre music et voice à 0 dans Settings.ini a une incidence ?

Rien à faire. Ces modifs ne changent rien. Ça plante toujours sur l'image de l'île de Mêlée du début du générique.

Alors là il va falloir m'expliquer... ça marche impeccable, en version remasterisée, sans carte graphique, avec proton 7.0-1 !

Proton GE est une version non officielle qui ajoute certains éléments indispensables pour certains jeux mais qui peut avoir des problèmes sur d'autres. En gros, on peut comparer ça à Wine Staging : des patches non officiels qui vont être indispensables dans certains cas et globalement une bonne compatibilité mais des problèmes sur des cas spécifiques.

Du côté des versions officielles, c'est un peu pareil, il y a une version expérimentale qui améliorer la compatibilité avec des jeux qui viennent de sortir mais qui peut éventuellement la casser avec d'autres.

Bref : dans certains cas, il faut jongler avec les variantes et versions de Proton.

Et tu as une carte graphique, simplement ce n'est pas une carte indépendante, le GPU est à l'intérieur du CPU. wink

Du coup, là, MI fonctionne complètement, plus aucun problème ?

Si je comprends bien, on a ajouté des morceaux du proton non-officiel au proton officiel, c'est ça ? (Puisque le jeux tourne avec la version officielle 7.0-1 de proton.)

MI fonctionne parfaitement dans sa version remasterisée.

Le problème ne venait donc pas de ma carte graphique ? Je peux la rebrancher et tester avec ?

Je peux acheter MI2 aussi alors ? smile (Parce que entre temps les gosses ont fini le 1 en version originale.)
