Bon, j'ai apparemment réussi sur le Dell (pourquoi???). Tu parles de l'étape 3? Dans la procédure YUMI?

Bon, j'ai chargé YUMI-exFAT-1.0.4.0.exe sous ubuntu du Dell; maintenant, je ne parviens pas à l'ouvrir! Les ennuis continuent!!!

Bonjour tout le monde je suis nul et poissard, c'est pas possible!
J'ai racheté une clé pour assurer le coup, téléchargé l'image iso d'ubuntu 24.04 comme indiqué, lancé YUMI etc. etc., relancé mon ordi; j'ai un peu ramé pour savoir sur quel support mais j'ai finalement trouvé. J'ai lancé l'installation; elle a duré, duré duré! J'ai arrêté le processus après plus de 3/4 d'heure! Windows n'a pas été écrasé, c'est déjà ça? De plus j'ai deux téléchargements d'ubuntu 20.04 qui me prennent de la place pour rien et que je ne sais pas supprimer. Et trouver un GUL, MicP, près de chez moi au fin fond de ma campagne, c'est pas gagné.
J'espérais ce soir mettre cet entretien "résolu", j'en suis loin. Au bon vouloir de qui voudra bien encore m'aider?

Bonsoir.
Au lieu de tuer, il fallait regarder si l’installation était bloquée  ou  continuait de se faire.
Donc à retenter.
En plus de la commande de xubu1957, donne aussi.

journalctl --no-pager -b -n 200

Un fichier exe s’exécute sous windows.
Si tu as ubuntu à ta disposition, tu peux utiliser ventoy

Bonjour tout le monde merci de me suivre; après un arrêt dominical, je retente l'opération!
Effectivement, le chargement "semblait" continuer, mais comme il n'y a pas de barre de progression, je ne sais pas à quel niveau il en était? Je me suis dit (à tort?) qu'après 3/4 d'heure, ça bloquait peut-être quelque part??
J'essaie d'être plus patient ce coup ci! Par contre, il faudra que je vire les installations précédentes qui me prennent de la place pour rien!
Je taperai alors les commandes indiquées, et vous tiendrai bien sûr au courant...

Cliquez dessus pour afficher le journal de l'installation en cours.

Bonjour.
C’était donc bien un problème de patience, liée à un installateur peu bavard dans les moments importants,
Par exemple le téléchargement des mises à jour.

La commande journalctl était destinée à être faite dans l’installateur pour visualiser ce qu’il faisait.

Comme le ubuntu est installé, tu peux faire:

journalctl --no-pager -b -p err -n 200

Pour tes autres O.S., donne ce retour.

sudo os-prober

Pour en supprimer, installe l’application gparted, lance-la
Puis demande-lui de supprimer les partitions que tu ne veux plus voir.
Puis informe le grub 

sudo update-grub

Bonjour geole, leçon méritée, j'ai été impatient; le manque de visualisation de la progression (corrigé par corradoventu) en est la cause.
Par contre, j'ai fait ta commande "sudo os-prober", et là, il me plante! Plus de souris, image bloquée! Je le force à s'éteindre?
J'avais fait la première "journalctl......" mais ne peux pas t'en envoyer le résultat, puisque bloqué et donc revenu sur le Dell! En gros, si j'ai compris, il ne parvenait pas à appeler "EVIOCSKEYCODE", à localiser "daemon control file", à démarrer app-gnome.... et j'en passe!

Il ne te reste plus qu’à rebooter si c’est bloqué
Tu referas 

journalctl --no-pager -b -p err -n 200

Pour tenter de voir la cause du blocage, Tu feras aussi

journalctl --no-pager -b -1  -n 200

Et tu donneras la liste des partitions.

lsblk -fe7

Et tu finiras par une mise à jour.

sudo apt update  ;  sudo apt upgrade

Je l'ai forcé à s'éteindre, l'ai laissé démarrer sur ubuntu, mais plus de souris, sur aucune sortie usb, et le path est inopérationnel! Ne faudrait-il pas que j'essaie de démarrer sur la clé et tout recommencer? Mais il faudrait que je puisse faire de la place car je ne pourrai plus l'installer à côté des autres!

Please do not forget to make your BIOS boot on sdb (ATA ST9500325AS) disk!

The boot files of [sdb7 (end>100GB)] are far from the start of the disk. Your BIOS may not detect them. You may want to retry after creating a /boot partition (EXT4, >200MB, start of the disk). Et que le boot se fait ainsi.

Bonjour geole, je découvre ta réponse tardivement, désolé.
J'ai redémarré sur la clé, l'ordi me propose:
-Démarrer en normal 1
-Démarrer en mode GRUB 2
-Somme de contrôle du fichier
-Retour au précédent menu
Concrètement, que dois-je faire maintenant?
