Il doit me manquer un truc.

Compiz est dans les dépots.
Un petit update et sudo apt-get install compiz.

Il doit y avoir speedy gonzales dans les  packageurs d'ubuntu.

Ca plante beaucoup ? J'essayerais de l'installer dès que j'aurais récuperer mon PC mais pour l'instant je l'ai preté a un pote...

Ca serait possible d'avoir une mise à jour du tutoriel utilisant les paquets directement intégré à dapper ? Je sais que le tuto en 1ere page est une traduction, mais il y en a surement ici qui ont réussi à faire tourner tout ça

J'ai essayé d'installer xgl et compiz aujourd'hui mais je ne m'en suis pas sorti :-/

Pour nvidia
Mettre à jour xorg (version7)
apt-get update puis apt-get install compiz.
puis télécharger et installer mesa, dispo ici : http://battlehorse.homelinux.net/w/Wiki.jsp?page=Xgl
télécharger aussi sur le lien ci-dessus  xserver_6.6.1-1_i386.deb

installer tout ça.
Utiliser le script suivant : #!/bin/bash
sudo killall gdm
sudo killall Xgl &
sudo killall Xorg &
wait

sudo Xgl :1 -ac -accel xv -accel glx:pbuffer &

appeler le script xgl.sh (par exemple)
le rendre executable: chmod +x xgl.sh
fermer gnome.
faire ctrl-alt-f2 par exemple et lancer le script à partir du shell en tapant ./xgl.sh.

Hi,

I've recently uploaded packages of Xgl and compiz to universe for
Dapper. These are highly experimental packages and are not recommended
for SPAM use. However, if you want to start developing for this new
technology, then do the following:

1) Make sure that you have the latest mesa, libglitz1 and libglitz-glx1
installed
2) After installing xserver-xgl, replace /etc/X11/X with a symlink to
/usr/bin/Xgl
3) Restart gdm
4) From a terminal, do compiz --replace gconf place move decoration resize minimize wobbly fade cube rotate zoom
5) Run gnome-window-decorator

You'll want to add these to your session startup if you want it on every
login.

To get back to sanity:

1) Replace /etc/X11/X with a symlink to /usr/bin/Xorg
2) Restart gdm

As noted before, these are highly experimental packages. If it crashes,
this is unsurprising. Please do feel free to file bugs, but right now
they'll probably just be forwarded upstream. Please do not be surprised
if it doesn't work. If you're running binary drivers, things get even
more complicated and there's a reasonable chance that things will fail
to work in strange and unexpected ways.

Have fun, and start thinking of ways that this technology can be used
for the force of good.

J'ai hésité à passer sur dapper 64 ... mais il en est quoi des drivers nvidia proprio ? Tu sais s'ils sont dispo sur l'architecture amd64 ?

PS : Ca y est, Xgl et Compiz marchent au poil chez moi J'ai suivi le tuto donné 2 ou 3 post au dessus (http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=131267) , ça m'a pris 5 minutes.

Bon j'ai trouvé mieux pour installer simplement (que du apt-get ) tout le bazar.

J'ai tenté ce tuto, et aussi celui du post juste au dessus, et dans les 2 cas ça fonctionne à moitié.

C'est à dire que Xgl se lance sans problèmes, compiz se lance visiblement sans erreur. Mais le gestionnaire de fenetre n'a pas l'air de fonctionner. Quand je lance un programme, il apparait parfois dans le coin supérieur gauche, sans bord supérieur de fenetre; ou bien il apparait parfois correctement. Mais je ne peux pas agir sur cette fenetre (la déplacer, la redimentionner, ...). De plus, certains effets comme le changement de bureau ou l'exposé-like ne fonctionnent pas. Alors que d'autres, comme l'apparition des menus, ou quand je réduis une fenetre, fonctionnent.

Je possède une geforce 6800

J'ai eu le même problème (fenêtres indéplaçables)
mais comme ma dapper était devenu une véritable porcherie entre les différents tuto  +les essais avec glxcompmgr, je me demande même comment x parvenait à se lancer, que j'ai formaté et tout réinstallé  en suivant le tuto http://www.ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=131267 et c'est nickel.

Les drivers nvidia pour amd64 marchent bien chez moi, a part une petite baisse de performance pour le dual screen tout est comme sur x86

Honnetement ca vaut le coup d'oeil
Par contre j'ai toujours pas trouver ocmment regler l'opacité et comment faire des zoom
=> le cube cest mon copain maintenant

Pour le zoom, comme je ne vois pas non plus à quoi correspond la touche <Super> j'ai mis à la place <Control>
Pour cela lancer gconf-editor
aller dans app/compiz/plugins/zoom/screen0/option
editer la clé zoom_in et changer la valeur (par exemple) <Control>Up
                 zoom_out                                                        <Control>Down

et ça fonctionne

Je corrige....
Mieux que <Controll>Up il y a <Control>Button4
et que   <Control>Down il y a <Control>Button5
Ainsi on peut contrôler le zoom avec la touche ctrl et la roulette de la souris.

moi mon dapper est semble t'il cassé (je ne peut plus me loger en graphique que ce soit par gdm ou xgl et ma carte réseaux n'est plus détecté) je pense que je vais faire une réinstallation ce soir...

pour ceux qui se demandent comment regler l'opacité moi j'utilise transset (je me suis fait un lanceur que j'ai mis dans une barre de menu) ce n'est pas des plus élégant (surtout si on veux choisir le niveau de transparence mais bon).
