[Resolu] Retour à Ubuntu (msi GE60)
Bonjour à tous,
Il y a bientot 2 ans j'ai acheté un msi GE60 alors que je n'utilisais plus windows depuis que j'avais découvert ubuntu avec la version hardy heron!!!
Et donc grosse déception, impossible vue ma config de mettre ubuntu convenablement.
J'ai une petite semaine devant moi et comme je n'ai toujours pas une grande affection pour windows, je voudrais retenter le coups,
J'ai fouiner un peu sur le forum en trouvant plein de réponse mais sans forcement grande certitude.
Donc si c'était possible de mettre un dual boot sur mon pc,
voici la configuration
Carte graphique NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 765M (avec mémoire vive GDDR5 2GB)
Intel Core i7-4700MQ (Quad-Core 2.4 GHz / 3.4 GHz Turbo - cache 6 Mo)

D'après le descriptif de ton ordi, je crois que la version de Ubuntu la plus adaptée est la version Ubuntu 14.04.1 64 bits (voir ma justification ici). Pour essayer cette version (sans l'installer dans un premier temps), je te suggère d'utiliser ma recette : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?pid=16713311. Depuis la session live de Ubuntu (démarrage sur Essayer), je te prie de faire un Boot-Info et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse. L'analyse de ce Boot-Info me permettra de m'assurer qu'il n'y a pas d'anomalie qui pourrait faire obstacle à l'installation de Ubuntu et à te conseiller pour la préparation de l'opération. A ce sujet, je te préviens au cas où tu aurais la tentation de brûler les étapes et à te lancer la tête la première dans l'installation, il faudra impérativement sélectionner "Autre chose" à l'étape "Type d'installation" pour éviter un risque d'écrasement de ton Windows (bug de l'installateur de Ubuntu 14.04.1 qui ne sait pas détecter la présence d'une installation en mode EFI de Windows). En sélectionnant, "Autre chose", tu maîtriseras ton destin et ça se passera bien. Et si tu es amené à faire une réinstallation maintenant ou dans l'avenir, sélectionne toujours "Autre chose" quels que soient les choix proposés par l'installateur.
EDIT : il est possible que tu aies besoin d'utiliser l'option nomodeset si tu as un problème d'écran noir : si ça se produit, tu peux passer cette option en suivant les indications de ce post : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p11528561

La version du msi Ge60 que j'ai est sortie d&but 2014 il me semble.
Ca le fera quand même avec la version 14.04.1 d'Ubuntu?
J'avais des soucis il y a un an avec EFI donc je vais bien regarder sa.
Et pour l'option nomodeset j'ai vue sa sans trop comprendre dans plusieurs sujet. mais on verra sa en tant voulu.
Donc, je fais un liveUsb et je met mon boot-info dans les prochains jours.

Cela vaut vraiment le coup d'essayer la 14.04.1. Si tout est OK avec elle, tu es pénard jusqu'en Avril 2019 (long fleuve tranquille). Si ce n'est pas OK, tu peux passer à la version 14.04.2 ou même à la version 14.04.3 en suivant les indications de la doc : voir "passer au HWE stack de Utopic" ou "passer au HWE stack de Vivid". Mais je ne te conseille pas du tout de faire ça : si ça fonctionne bien avec Ubuntu 14.04.1, ne bouge pas une oreille et n'installe pas ces "HWE stack".
Et pour l'option nomodeset j'ai vue sa sans trop comprendre dans plusieurs sujet. mais on verra sa en tant voulu.
En gros, prendre cette option nomodeset, ça revient à choisir une option d'affichage "sans échec". Donc si tu te retrouves devant un écran noir, tu redémarres en prenant cette option. Ce n'est pas pour la vie : c'est seulement pour faire l'essai sans installer (session "live") et pour le(s) premier(s) démarrage(s) après installation. Ensuite, il conviendra probablement que tu installes un pilote graphique pour ne plus avoir à utiliser cette option "nomodeset".

The settings chosen by the user will not act on the boot.Il me semble qu'il n'y pas d'obstacle à l'installation de Ubuntu d'après ce que je peux voir dans ce Boot-Info. Je te conseille quand même de refaire ta LiveUSB pour y mettre la version 14.04.1 (au lieu de 14.04.3) comme j'ai expliqué plus haut, puis de tester cette version (session live) et de l'installer si tout baigne en session live (*).
Pour l'installation, je te recommande de suivre ce pas à pas : "efi un jeu d'enfant" du site "Libre à Quimperlé". A l'étape 1, le but est de libérer de la place pour Ubuntu. Pour ce faire, il me semble qu'il serait préférable que tu réduises la taille de ta partition sda5 (label "MESDOCS") plutôt que de réduire la taille de ta partition système de Windows (sda4 ; label "OS_Install" ; vu comme "disque C:" par Windows). Mais ce n'est pas obligatoire et c'est toi qui vois. Ce pas à pas "efi un jeu d'enfant" précise bien qu'il faut prendre "Autre chose" à l'étape "Type d'installation" comme je t'ai déjà expliqué dans le post #2.
(*) je t'ai indiqué plus haut la recette pour réaliser cette LiveUSB (je te redonne le lien ici). Où vois-tu dans ce lien qu'il faut aller sur la page de téléchargement https://www.ubuntu-fr.org/telechargement ? Justement, il ne faut pas y aller mais aller à l'adresse que je donne dans la recette.

c'est la page de téléchargement qu'en tu passes par l’accueil ou par la documentation.
en tout cas merci à tout les deux, j'ai installé la version 14.04.1, ça fonctionne en grande partie.
mais je pense que la carte graphique n'est pas correctement reconnu, dans "à propos de l'ordinateur" il m'indique Intel® Haswell Mobile alors que j'ai une Carte graphique NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 765M (avec mémoire vive GDDR5 2GB).
Et aussi, pas de grub au démarrage ...
J'ai démarrer sur Ubuntu avec f11 pour avoir le boot menu.
Je pense avoir fait toute la procédure que tu m'as indiqué malbo, mais je vais vérifier.

Tu as la carte graphique NVIDIA® GeForce GTX 765M et, intégré à ton processeur Core i7, le chipset graphique Intel® HD Graphics 4600.
C'est la technologie Optimus. Voir Bumblebee ou Prime dans la Documentation.
