[Résolu] Lenteur Ubuntu 16 04
Bonjour,
Suite mise à niveau depuis 14 04 tout est bcp plus lent, la mise en route, l'ouverture de firefox, la navigation.
Je ne suis pas un expert, si quelqu'un peu me faire un petit diagnostic, merci d'avance.

Tu donneras le Retour utilisable de commande dans ta réponse.
Motif de ma demande : j'ai vu que tu as déjà galéré avec un souci de partition racine saturée dans ce fil : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.php?id=1991497
Je me dis que tu es peut-être retombé sur ce problème.

Bon. Ce n'est donc pas un problème de partition racine saturée. Tu avais encore 2 ans devant toi avec la 14.04 puisque la fin de maintenance de la 14.04 est en Avril 2019. Avais-tu une raison de quitter cette 14.04 pour la 16.04 ?

Oui, utiliser la dernière version de Blender. Mais je peux me contenter de l'ancienne. Est ce un problème de performance de mon matériel?

Je vois dans le résultat que tu as collé dans le post #3 que ta partition /home est peu occupée et j'ai vu ici que cette partition /home est placée en fin de partition étendue sur ton disque dur. Je te suggère de diminuer la taille de cette partition /home afin de dégager de la place en fin de partition étendue (20 Go ou 30 Go) : ça peut se faire avec Gparted depuis une session live de Ubuntu 16.04.1 64 bits (ISO a télécharger ici, la version téléchargeable sur la page du site est la 16.04.2 qui ne convient pas à ton vieux matos). Ensuite, je te suggère de faire l'installation toute neuve de Ubuntu 16.04.1 64 bits dans la place libérée et de prendre bien le temps de vérifier que tout baigne, qu'il n'y a plus de lenteur. Si tu as toujours de la lenteur, arrête de te battre avec la 16.04 et reviens à la 14.04 (je pourrai t'aider à le faire).
Par contre, si c'est un succès, je te conseillerais de poursuivre la recherche de solutions que tu as initialisée dans la présente discussion. Et si ça ne s'arrange pas, il faudra envisager de réinstaller entièrement Ubuntu 16.04 suivant cette doc : Comment réinstaller Ubuntu ?

Il faut l'installer sur une clé USB. Moi je le fais depuis Windows avec cette recette mais si tu n'as que Ubuntu, tu peux utiliser une des méthodes proposées dans 5. Création d'un live-USB depuis Ubuntu. Il est possible que UNetbootin pour Linux te donne satisfaction. EDIT : je viens de voir qu'il y a une buse qui a cru utile d'écrire ceci s'agissant de UNetbootin : "Obsolète. Si par le passé ce software donnait de bons résultats il n'est malheureusement plus d'actualité et ne fonctionne pas avec les hardwares récents qui utilisent EFI" Quel sombre crétin...

Après avoir libéré ces 30 Go, tu peux créer une nouvelle partition logique au format EXT4 dans la place libérée. Comme ça, ce sera fait. Et pendant l'installation, tu choisiras "Autre chose" à l'étape "Type d'installation" et tu auras juste à modifier cette partition EXT4 (double clic sur la ligne de cette partition dans la fenêtre de l'installateur) pour définir que tu veux qu'elle ait le point de montage / et cocher la case "formater". Tu n'auras pas à t'occuper d'autre chose (ni de la swap, ni de l'emplacement de Grub : tout sera pris en charge automatiquement) et tu pourras poursuivre l'installation.

Bonjour, c'est dommage de réinstaller sans tenter de savoir ce qui cloche avec la mise à jour à 16.04 pour la lenteur.
Démarre donc sur la 16.04, ouvre ta session et génère un rapport bisnext. Ouvre un terminal pour cela.
Copie-colle les commandes suivantes une par une dans le terminal, exécute la commande puis commande suivante, etc...
sudo apt update
sudo apt install gawk mesa-utils pastebinit smartmontools --no-install-recommends
wget https://github.com/laurent85v/bisnext/raw/master/bisnext
sudo bash bisnext --pastebin
Donne le lien indiqué en première ligne du rapport, il est aussi affiché dans le terminal.

@Laurent85 : il ne s'agit pas d'une réinstallation. Ce que je propose est présenté dans mon post #6 et c'est ce que philburgt est en train de mettre en œuvre.
@philburgt : si tu préfères, tu peux je crois qu'il est préférable d’interrompre ce que j'ai proposé afin de faire ce que demande Laurent85. Si les investigations et les tentatives de résoudre le pb de lenteur réalisées avec l'aide de Laurent85 sont un échec, il sera toujours temps de reprendre le programme que j'ai proposé.

Ok c'est fait.
J'ai toujours le dossier personnel vide dans le navigateur de fichiers. "image, documents, etc;". Mes données sont dans une icône du disque sur le lanceur. Toujours lent à l'ouverture ainsi que Firefox.

Comme l'installation toute neuve de Ubuntu 16.04.1 sur sda7 est aussi lente que ton Ubuntu installé sur sda1, je te propose de faire une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu 14.04.1 64 bits(*) sur sda7 afin de vérifier que tu retrouves bien une vivacité (sans lenteur) avec cette version 14.04.1. Il pourrait arriver que la lenteur demeure dans cette install toute neuve, ce qui signifierait que ton souci de lenteur n'a rien à voir avec la version 14.04 ou 16.04 mais qu'elle vient d'ailleurs, d'un problème matériel peut-être.
(*) je te suggère d'utiliser ma recette ou une autre recette mais télécharge à l'avance le fichier qui va bien : ubuntu-14.04.1-desktop-amd64.iso

Il y a un processus qui monopolise le processeur à 99.7% :

Probablement un plantage ou parce que le système n'est pas à jour, je ne liste pas tous les paquets il y en a 372. La mise à niveau n'est pas terminée ou s'est mal passée. Il faut terminer les mises à jour. Sinon une installation propre de 16.04.2. Revenir à une version antérieure ne changera rien, c'est le matériel qui peut faire la différence, pas de changer de version aussi proches.

Pour supprimer la ligne du fstab comme suggéré par Laurent85 dans le post #21, tu peux procéder comme suit :
1) installation de gksu en vue d'utiliser gksudo : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p19459481
2) ouverture du fichier à modifier dans l'éditeur de texte gedit avec pouvoir administrateur en passant cette commande :
gksudo gedit /etc/fstab
3) dans le fichier qui apparaît, supprimer complètement la dernière ligne :
/dev/fd0 /media/floppy0 auto rw,user,noauto,exec,utf8 0 0
4) enregistrer dans l'éditeur de texte puis fermer l'éditeur de texte
Au prochain démarrage, si cette modif était déterminante, tu ne devrais plus avoir ces soucis de lenteur. Mais quoi qu'il en soit, refais un rapport bisnext afin qu'on puisse voir l'effet éventuel de cette modif

Va dans Logiciels & Mises à jour et dans le champ "Télécharger depuis", remplace "serveur pour France" par "serveur principal". Puis fais l'actualisation et ensuite, tu devrais pouvoir faire la manip.
Explication : je viens de vérifier et j'avais le même problème que toi avec "serveur pour France". En passant sur le paramétrage "serveur principal", tout baigne. Je ne sais pas exactement ce qui se passe mais il est possible que nous soyons tous les deux sur le même serveur français et que ce serveur soit tombé en panne.
