démarrage lent 4 étapes : firmware+loader+kernel+user (18.10) ??

Bonjour à toute la communauté,
suite à mon premier sujet résolu : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p22000491

je continue dans l'apprivoisement du système et en fin de sujet j'arrivais à aller voir dans /var/log/syslog s'il y a des erreurs dans la phase de démarrage...

ce qui m'ennuie c'est que je trouve mon système relativement lent à démarrer pour un système tout neuf, vide et avec SSD :

je me disais que ces erreurs pouvait induire en partie cette relative "lenteur"

mais surtout je suis désormais à 40secondes de démarrage en 4 étapes :
11s firmware
4 loader
4 kernel
20s user

et plus ça va plus le temps est long j'ai l'impression

un grand merci pour votre aide.

Cette phrase la
Add to /var/ossec/rules/local_rules.xml
Fait pas partie du script.

Après je ne sais pas du tout ce que font les lignes indiqués, et encore moins pourquoi tu cherche absolument a ne plus voir la moindre erreur nul part... Les messages d'erreurs ne signifient pas forcément qu'il y a un vrai problème. Ce ne sont souvent que des indications dont il n'est pas forcément nécessaire de tenir compte...

Ton ordinateur à un problème ? Qu'est ce qui ne fonctionne pas correctement ?

D'accord je comprend mieux. Effectivement, 30s pour démarrer un linux vide sur SSD ça me semble vraiment beaucoup aussi. Il faudrait trouver ce qui "bloque" exactement (un truc qui attend je ne sais quoi sûrement...)

Mais la je peux plus t'aider, désolé sad
Tu as essayé d'ajouter les lignes proposées dans le fichier /var/ossec/rules/local_rules.xml ? Un changement ?

Tu as essayé d'ajouter les lignes proposées dans le fichier /var/ossec/rules/local_rules.xml ? Un changement ?

je n'ai pas testé les lignes car a priori ces lignes sont justes pour ignorer les erreurs nxdomain donc pas de raison particulière que cela change le temps de démarrage

Je prends le sujet au vole , je ne sais pas si ça va t'aider mais
il y a un time out au démarrage que tu peux facilement virer.

dans le fichier /lib/systemd/system/NetworkManager-wait-online.service
mets =0 au lieu de =30

Sans oublier /etc/default/grub
GRUB_TIMEOUT=10

Si tu n'as que Ubuntu mets le à 0 , si tu as un dual boot mets le à 3
(3 seconde pour choisir)
sudo update-grub  pour valider les modifs

EDIT : J'ai réussi à modifier mais pas de changement notable (cf message suivant)

merci pour ton aide, je vais essayer cela, mais étant débutant je ne sais pas comment accéder à ces fichiers... par un terminal en tapant le nom ? code spécial à taper ?

Ça correspond à quoi ce 10.962s (firmware) que l'on voit dans la ligne..? Ce n'est pas le bios tout de même ?

Ce truc prend treize secondes comme le montre ta capture d'écran et dix secondes dans ton retour de commande. A mon avis, il faudrait regarder de ce côté...

Moi j'ai ceci sur un vieux Dell avec U18.04. Je n'ai pas mesuré le temps de boot mais c'est entre 20 et 25 secondes (sans la partie  Bios) ce qui me semble acceptable.

PS: Mais en comparant mon résultat avec le tien on dirait qu'on n'a pas le même Buntu (je n'ai pas la partie Firmware et Loader)

Puis pour bidouiller un vieux portable Dell Precision M4600 avec W10 + DEBIAN-Buster

Un PC neuf et vide ça devrait pulser plus que ça.
Chez moi , dés que j'appuie sur le bouton d'allumage , je suis sur le login screen en moins de 10s

Donc comme ton pc et vide , tu devrais refaire une installation propre.
Commence par la 18.04.3 , optimise l'installation (#7) et regarde ce que cela donne.

malheureusement l'installation en 18.04 n'était pas stable (cf #1 lien vers autre sujet)
et l'installation de la 18.10 s'est déroulée sans accroc et ne pose plus de problème de "stabilité" notamment dans la phase de démarrage.

de pire en pire :

ba sur un système vide et en SSD c'est relativement long tout de même (même 38secondes désormais cf message édité ci-dessus)

sur le boot.svg j'ai un apt-dayli.service (que je n'avais pas il y a quelques jours) à 12secondes hmm (je regarde de ce côté là, peut être un problème niveau HDD, neuf hmm)

rien de scientifique en effet mais je me base sur mon ressenti personnel, "expérience", également différents commentaires d'autres usagers du forum qui me disent également que ça ne devrait pas être aussi long sur un système neuf et vide,
puis j'étais à 29s il y a quelques jours, 39" désormais... hmm
