{Résolu} Perte du boot sur USB - Bios endommagé?

Bonjour
Heureux acquéreur d'un portable Asus Vivobook F512DA (semble être le même modèle que le X512DA) équipé de Windows 10, j'avais l'intention d'installer Xubuntu 18.04 en dual-boot.

J'ai fait une clé avec Xubuntu avec Unetbootin, elle est bien en FAT32, GPT, redémarré l'ordi et lancé la session live pour voir la partie partitionnement. A ce moment là, il y a eu un freeze de Xubuntu où rien ne répondait plus.
Redémarrage à la hussarde et Windows qui ne charge plus. Après bien des essais de réparation j'ai du réinstaller complètement l'OS à partir d'un DD externe branché en USB.

Même si le disque avec l'instal Windows a été reconnu, toutes les nouvelles tentatives de booter sur la clé avec Xubuntu ont échouée. J'avais un msg d'erreur qui me disais quelque chose à propos de l'EFI (je crois) et Xubuntu ne se chargeait pas. Là, j'ai dû faire une erreur parce que dans le bios, j'ai effacé les boot options qui concernaient la clé en pensant qu'en la rebranchant, l'option réapparaitrait. Depuis, je n'arrive plus à booter à partir de la clé Xubuntu et ce qui est plus étrange c'est que dans le bios, l'option "ajouter une boot option" a disparue. A l'origine l'option permettait d'indiquer un chemin vers une clé je pense.
Le Bios est le X512DA.308 du 05/11/2019

Je me demandais s'il y avait un autre moyen et surtout si j'avais pu endommager le bios

Je viens de m'apercevoir que la clé qui m'avait servi à l'origine était endommagée (je pense après le freeze). J'ai réinstallé Xubuntu et elle est à nouveau détectée: il y a 2 partitions mais en les sélectionnant j'obtiens ce message d'erreur:

Concernant l'erreur "failed to open \efi\boot\mmx64.efi - not found"
je viens de lire des forum américains où diverses solutions sont proposées. j'ai suivi la numéro 47 pour l'instant
j'ai renommé /EFI/BOOT/grubx64.efi en /EFI/BOOT/mmx64.efi et ça semble marcher. Je fais des essais et je ferme le sujet

Bonjour,
Si tu parviens à installer, je te prie de faire un Boot-info depuis une session du Xubuntu installé et de donner l'URL de ce Boot-info dans ta réponse. Motif : je souhaite ajouter ton modèle d'ordi (je crois que son nom complet doit être ASUS Vivobook F512DA-EJ414T) dans la Liste des portables « Asus » et le Boot-info donnera un exemple d'installation réussie dans ce modèle.

Installation réussie; tout fonctionne correctement. Juste le pavé tactile qui accroche un peu, mais ça doit pouvoir se résoudre.
Je suis quand même ahuri par le problème du fichier \efi\boot\mmx64.efi - not found sur ma clé. je ne comprends pas comment c'est possible.
Pour le Boot-info: ic!

Le "something has gone seriously wrong" est un bug remontant depuis la 1904, et justement tu utilises la 

boot-info is executed in installed-session (Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS, bionic, Ubuntu, x86_64)

qui inclut le noyau de la 1904 voir la 1910...connais-plus le calendrier du hwe_stack.

Bref, ce bug, ne se déclare que sur certaine plateforme/bios et apparemment on n'a pas trouvé sa correction (ou bien on s'en tape car c'est seulement l'épaisseur du trait ).

N'oubliez pas de régler votre BIOS pour qu'il amorce sur le fichier nvme0n1p1/efi/.../grub*.efi !

Si votre ordinateur redémarre directement sur Windows, essayez de changer l'ordre de démarrage dans votre BIOS.
Si votre BIOS ne permet pas de changer l'ordre de démarrage, changez l'entrée de démarrage par défaut de l'amorceur Windows.
Par exemple, vous pouvez démarrer Windows, puis saisir la commande suivante dans une invite de commande en mode administrateur :
bcdedit /set {bootmgr} path \EFI\...\grub*.efi

Il manque certaines choses comme le fichier grub.cfg et le fichier fstab mais c'est la faute de Boot-info qui ne sait pas détecter correctement les SSD NVMe. Ton dual-boot semble parfait. Il s'agit d'une installation en mode UEFI de Xubuntu 18.04.3 64 bits. Le noyau 5.3.0-26 correspond bien à ce qui est attendu pour cette version équipée du HWE stack :

EDIT : je viens d'ajouter ton modèle Vivobook F512DA-EJ414T dans la Liste des portables « Asus »
Pour mémoire, ce modèle - visible sur cette page du site LDLC - est équipé d'un processeur AMD Ryzen 5 3500U. La partie graphique "AMD Radeon Vega 8 Graphics" est intégrée dans le processeur.
