1)  De façon façon implicite, le boot se fait certainement en EFI

En fait, il faudrait
SOIT que tu bootes en modifiant le bios pour avoir le mode LEGACY par defaut
SOIT que tu installes la couche EFI qui manque dans mint
Je pense que la seconde solution est plus à la mode.
Essaies la commande proposée par boot-repair lorsque tu es dans mint

sudo apt install grub-efi-amd64-signed

Lorsque mint aura migré en EFI, tu pourras alors supprimer la partition  nvme0n1p2

NOTA. Cette partition ne te sert à rien. Elle peut être supprimée

J'ai fait 

sudo apt install grub-efi-amd64-signed

et j'ai supprimé  nvme0n1p2. Au redémarrage rien n'a changé, du moins apparemment.
Le boot-info, montre que rien n'a changé par rapport au précédent sinon que nvme0n1p2 n'est plus là.
Bon j'arrête là les frais, et je vais faire ce que je t'annonçais dans le post #21: je vire Xubuntu du ssd et je l'installe sur une vm.

Bonjour,

Perso j'utilise cette méthode du grub mémorisé qui lance toujours le dernier système utilisé et si on change ce sera ensuite toujours le même, jusqu'au prochain changement

En modifiant le fichier : /etc/default/grub. Il suffit de modifier la ligne

GRUB_DEFAULT=saved

et ajouter celle ci 

GRUB_SAVEDEFAULT=true

Puis      

sudo update-grub

Effectivement, ça a suffi: l'écran porte bien maintenant LinuxMint en début de liste big_smile.
Je vais pouvoir enfin mettre résolu à ce fil.
