Grub EFI retrouvé mais plus d'accès W10
Bonsoir compagnons du libre.
Je vous expose ma situation :
En temps normal je tourne sous Ubuntu 20.04, installé en mode EFI. Je suis en dual boot avec W10 installé par la suite.
J'ai donc plusieurs partitions boot, celui d' Ubuntu qui se lance en premier et celui de W10 qui se lance si je le choisis dans le menu de grub.
J'ai voulu hier recréer une petite partition afin de tester plus en profondeur un OS que j'avais trouvé séduisant en live usb, qui d'ailleurs m'a demandé de recréer une partition boot.
Jusqu'ici ça va encore. Le problème est que j'ai voulu encore plus lors d'un test de Ubuntu Jammy.
Je me suis aperçu que c'était un peu l'anarchie avec "toutes ces partitions de boot", 3 au total, la principal, celle de W10 et celle que le dernier OS m'a demandé de créer et qui était "devenu la référente".
Je suis donc passé par gparted pour supprimer la dernière crée puis en déplaçant ou plus précisément en redimensionnant la partition de grub EFI afin de combler l'espace vide avec la partition principale (de Focal).
En oubliant au passage que si je touchais à cette partition, je ne pourrai sans doute plus "rebooter normalement" (et ce malgré le message qu'a dû m'afficher gparted).
Bingo, au redémarrage je tombe sur le mode rescue de grub. Je cherche sur le forum et trouve des méthodes pour modifier et recharger grub mais sans succès.
Je tente d'installer boot-repair sur une clé usb via un autre pc qui lui est en mode Legacy (j'ai pas d'autre choix). Boot-repair ne parviens pas à réparer le boot.
Je finis par abandonné au milieu de la nuit.
Au réveil je tente un dernier recours, installer Ubuntu Jammy, comme je l'ai sous la main, et espérer qu'il va recréer convenablement Grub EFI, chose réaliser avec succès.
Je peux même via le menu grub lancer mon OS principal, Focal, par contre j'ai perdu le choix de lancer W10.
J'ai donc installé et lancé boot-repair sur Focal pour tenter de retrouver le choix de W10, le problème est que je me suis retrouvé au redémarrage dans la même situation qu'au départ en mode grub rescue.
J'ai lancé une nouvelle installation de Jammy pour revenir en configuration où je peux lancer normalement Ubuntu 20.04 Focal.
Pour l'instant ce n'est pas trop dérangeant même si il arrivera un moment je devrai accéder à W10.
Problème à résoudre :
_ Faire que Ubuntu 20.04 soit sélectionné par défaut au lancement de Grub
_ Retrouver le choix de pouvoir lancer W10 dans Grub
Je ne vous cache pas qu'avant de toucher à quoi que ce soit et devoir relancer une nouvelle installation, j'aimerais autant que possible être sûr de ce que je dois faire.

Lorsque tu auras vérifié que windows mets bien en route, tu pourras remettre ubuntu prioritaire avec le support d'installation en frappant cette commande

Un grand merci Geole pour ta lumière.
Il va falloir que je refasse une usb pour W10. Je ne retrouve pas celle qui m'avais permis de faire le dual boot avec l'OS d'origine.
Aussitôt après mon achat, j'avais fait une sauvegarde du système et noter la clé de W10 pour installer Ubuntu (on parle souvent que ceux venant de windows doivent changer leurs habitudes en arrivant sous Linux, l'inverse est aussi vrai pour ma part).
Je reviens vers vous dès que j'ai pu recréer une usb de W10 ou retrouver ma clé de sauvegarde.

Je remercie geole mais j'ai abandonne l'idée de retrouver le boot Windows.
Je suis sur un Acer Swift et c'est une corvée avec le BIOS modifié par le constructeur. J'ai essayé toutes les façons de créer une USB de w10 y compris le soft fourni sur le site de Microsoft et rien y fait, impossible de booter sur la clé.
J'ai fini par supprimer cette partition et j'ai installer un Windows sous virtual box sur mon OS principal.
