[Résolu ]Boot sur USB pour installer 24.04
Bonjour à tous,
Avant de procéder à la mise à jour de la version 22.04 vers 24.04, je souhaitais m'assurer qu'en cas de problème je pourrai ré-installer le système.
Je souhaitais aussi réajuster la taille des partitions pour agrandir la partition system.
Hélas, mon PC (Acer Aspire V3-372T-58TH, boot EFI) refuse obstinément de démarrer sur une clef USB.
Au préalable, j'ai désactivé le SecureBoot
Positionné en premier le Boot USB, CDROM
J'ai crée une clef usb à partir du téléchargement du fichier iso depuis le site :
https://xubuntu.org/download/ puis choix du site miroir suivant :
http://ftp.free.fr/mirrors/ftp.xubuntu. … 4/release/
avec successivement les logiciels suivant :
usb-creator-gtk
puis UnetBootin
puis la commande dd
sans succès.
Un PC plus ancien (Acer aspire 7739G, ancien boot) boot très bien sur cette clef.
Il m'a semblé que beaucoup d'utilisateurs avaient des soucis avec l'installation de la version 24.04.
Je suis un peu âgée, et je n'ai plus envie de prendre des risques (même petits ! un PC n'est qu'un PC...).
Je joins des informations correspondant à ce qui me semble être régulièrement demandé ...:
- informations PC
- résultat de parted -l
- resultat de la commande dd de création de la clef
- le contenu de la clef
- le résultat d'un boot-info, d'une commande df-th (dans message suivant)
- un extrait de syslog dans (message suivant)
mais il en manque sûrement.

Car l'ordinateur est resté en 22.04, le système m'a relancé pour une mise à jour 24.04, mais je n'aurai pas assez de place pour l'insttaller.

Bonjour , effectivement , il n ' y a pas assez de place disponible sur la partition pour faire une MAN :

pour voir comment est réparti l ' espace global de ton disque de 500 Go, peux tu donner le retour de
lsblk -fe7Est ce que tu te sers toujours de windobz ? si non , il serait peut être alors possible de supprimer les partitions pour windobz et d' agrandir la partition ubuntu sans passer par un démarrage sur clé USB .
Comment a été installé ubuntu 22.04 avec une clé USB ? avec un CD / DVD ROM ?

Merci pour toutes ces réponses.
Pour ce qui est des tailles des partitions, dès que je peux, j'avais déjà l'intention de rétrécir la taille de windows, mais pas la supprimer, et donner plus d'air à xubuntu.
Comment puis-je changer la taille de la partition system si j'ai booter dessus, surtout que, il me semble qu'il faudrait aussi la changer de place, je ne sais pas ...
La version 22.04 de xubuntu a été installée par mise à jour de la version précédente. Mais avant chaque mise à jour de ce type je fais toujours un essai avec une clef USB. Donc en 2022, ça fonctionnait. Je crois qu'il y a eu plusieurs mises à jour du Firmware depuis.
La toute première version était 16.04 installée à partir d'une clef USB.

Pour purger les résidus de configuration marqués "rc" :
sudo apt purge ~ccomme expliqué à la machine à café et rajouté dans ce message
Pour nettoyer les snaps désactivés, cette commande de nany :
LANG=C snap list --all | awk '/disabled/{print $1, $3}' | while read snapname revision ; do sudo snap remove "$snapname" --revision="$revision" ; doneCommande stockée au post #7 > |RESOLU] snap nettoyage des versions désactivées.

Bonsoir.
Avec le gparted de ton support d’installation, rétrécis SDA6 de 10 Go et agrandis SDA7 de 10 Go par son début.

Qu'appelez vous mon support d'installation ?
Si c'est une clef USB contenant ce qu'il faut pour utiliser gparted, ça n'est pas possible car les pb principal est que je n'arrive plus à booter sur une clef.
Sinon, dites moi comment faire ...

Merci ok j'essayerai demain, mais je n'y crois trop j'ai déjà essayé plusieurs créateur de clef,rien n'y fait.
La dernière a été faite avec etcher.balena.
Je ne suis pas experte mais mon impression est que ça vient plutôt de bios.

utilise l'application prévue par ubuntu. puis n'oublie pas de dire au bios de booter prioritairement sur le support USB.

La clef a été recréée avec l'application ubuntu.
pas d’amélioration.
J'ai re-téléchargé la version 24.04 car j'avais celle de l'an passé.
pas d'amélioration.
Sans conviction j'ai changé le type de Table de partition et je l'ai établie à MBR ( non compatible avec uefi, je crois)
pas d’amélioration
j'ai changé de clef, puis j'ai changé de port usb
pas d’amélioration.
je redis qu' un PC plus ancien (Acer aspire 7739G, ancien boot non uefi ) boot très bien sur cette clef.
Je continue de chercher.

C'est rouge honte que je vais ajouter "résolu" au sujet.
Il suffit d'appuyer sur F12 au démarrage et le boot s'effetue sur la clef.
