Latex sur Ubuntu

Salut

La documentation sur LateX me laisse un peu sceptique.

1)  Tout d'abord s'il est vrai que tetex est abandonné, l'installation de TeXlive est celle d'une 2005 franchement vieillote surtout si on préfère travailler avec pdflatex.
Il serait intéressant de savoir comment on  peut installer sans rien casser la nouvelle version de TXLive la 2007..
avec un pdftex 1.40.3 beamer en 3.07. Je sais que l'on peut installer tout cela à la main dans son texmf mais il est un peu dommage d'avoir un manager d'installation et de ne pouvoir sans servir.

2) Il est recommandé d'installer latex ucs pour travailler en utf8 moi il me semble que
  \usepackage[utf8]{fontenc} est nettement préférable sauf si on est passionné par le grec ancien


Si quelqu'un a installé TL 2007 peut-il indiqué comment procéder ?

Ubuntu 7.04 va-t-il contenir TL 2007 ou bien suit-il comme un mouton Debian qui lui se prend pour une vraie tortue.... Comment savoir ce qu'il y a dans 7.04 ?

Peut-être existe-t-il un dépôt avec la version 2007 ; personnellement, j'utilise la version dans les dépôts et je ne m'étais jamais vraiment posé ce genre de  question, mais c'est vrai que j'ai une utilisation de Latex assez basique.

Pour l'utf8 personnellement j'utilise

Pour l'utf8 en effet c'est le mieux.

Pour le rapport, avec pdflatex c'est que maintenant le moteur officiel est pdfelatex appelé pdflatex.
La version est passée en 1.40 et apporte certaines fonctions pour le pdf. De plus avec TL, 2007 on libère un peu son texmf perso car certains packages progressent nettement : tikz/pdf, beamer, xkeyval par exemple

Non pas le bonheur, c'est toujours en expérimental chez Debian, donc toujours 2005.
Alors je me suis entraîné sous 6.10 et j'ai installé TL 2007 à la  main, je l'ai téléchargé
j'ai gravé l'iso j'ai créé un dossier sur le bureau et j'ai tout mis dedans...puis j'ai suivi les instructions....

Ensuite, j'ai compilé Kile à la main sinon il installe tetex sad c'est un peu le bordel....

Et cela fonctionne ... smile

Enfin la compilation nécessite quelques outils, c'est normal car Kile est sous KDE.
TeXMaker en revanche est hyper décevant!
il faut peut-être aller voir du côté de Scite

Tu pourrais  faire un petit how-to sur le sujet ?
Qui présente les paquets  à installer ou les sources.
Puis éventuellement comment paramétrer la compilation de kile pour éviter qu'il n'utilise tetex.

Personnellement, sous Feisty je tourne avec TexLive et Kile ne m'amène pas à installer tetex, il suffit simplement je pense d'installer texlive en premier lieu puis dans un second temps d'installer kile.

Ce serait bien de savoir les paquets à télécharger pour gérer les dépendances de kile lors de la compilation à la main. En effet moi j'ai installé texlive via un cd (je ne dispose pas d'une connection à haut débit) et j'aimerai compiler kile...

il échoue parce que les paquet xorg-dev ne sont pas installé.
En fait regarde chaque fin de ligne, Dans le cas ci dessus, il s'agit de X et il te faut les paquet de développement de X.
Garde synaptic d'ouvert, ça m'étonnerais qu'il ne te manque que ça.

Je réponds à plusieurs messages en même temps.
a) Sur le dernier, je dirais  non : xorg-dev n'est pas installé chez moi

b) J'ai installé TeXlive à partir du CD  en premier puis    je suis allé dans synaptic et j'ai voulu installé kile. Là je suppose qu'il y a un système de dépendance et il me propose à chaque fois tetex. J'ai réussi une fois à m'en passer mais il y a quelques mois après avoir installé un des fichiers de la texlive mais..navré j'ai oublié lequel... sad
Cela dit, la compilation de kile permet d'avoir la 1.9.3

c) ensuite je ne suis pas un linuxien pur souche aussi je fais comme je peux donc mes explications ne seront pas forcément très clair.

En gros je procède comme il vient d'être dit, je regarde l'erreur dans le fichier log et je vais dans synaptic recherché ce qui manque :
Je suis sur Ubuntu avec Gnome
1) on télécharge les sources de kile
2 ) On extrait le paquet sur le bureau
3) On ouvre une console (la aussi Konsole de KDE est préférable, c'est mieus foutu) Par exemple, je glisse un fichier du dossier kile dans la Konsole, je choisis cd et je saute l'étape suivante.
4) cd .... le dossier de kile
5) Also to compile Kile you need to install the development packages for KDE 3.3
and Qt 3.3 as well.

avant de configurer il faut quelques outils de développement entre autres :

    * KDE   development package dans synpatic
      kdelibs4-dev (pas sûr)
      kdelibs-data
      kde-i1-n-fr
      kdegraphics-dev
      kdebase
      kdebase-bin
      kdebase-dev
      kdebase-data

Au passage un regret, il pourrait y avoir comme sur certaines distrib, un paquet appelé gnome dev ou kde dev , un clic et hop pas à se galérer.

ensuite QT3  dev
qt3-dev-tools etc... libqt3-headers... en général si il manque quelque chose c'est assez explicite...on va dans synaptic recherche qt3.... et on essaie...

ensuite un compilateur gcc (comme j'ai compilé pas mal de trucs j'ai la collection g77 gcc-3.3 3.4 4.1 etc...
mais même chose en cas de pépin, ce sera explicite...


6 ) Passons aux choses sérieuses : les trucs qui parfois donnent mal à la tête :

sudo ./configure --prefix=/usr/lib/kde3 --with-qt-dir=/usr/lib/qt3

attention c'est comme cela chez moi
la doc dit :
./configure --prefix=path to KDE3 (/usr or /opt/kde3 generally) --with-qt-dir=path to the QT3 library (/usr/lib/qt3 generally)

pour KDE le mieux c'est de faire : kde-config --prefix et vous saurez où il se cache
pour qt3 c'est en général /usr/lib

on lance

7 )  make
8) sudo make install

et voilà je vous passe une partie du log qui peut vous servir

Une remarque toutefois, j'ai fait l'essai d'installer kubuntu-desktop.
1)  autant le bureu 3D est rapide sous gnome que c'est une cata sous Kubuntu
2 ) Kile n'était pas dans une grande forme sous KDE, il doit manquer un petit truc....perso cela ne me dérange pas car je me sens mieux sous gnome

Le truc que je ne comprends pas c'est xorg-dev ? je vais finir par laisser tomber synaptic... !

Là je peux pas te dire pourquoi, faudrait faire un diff de vos deux fichiers configure...
La seul chose c'est que le message d'erreur qu'il (no_spleen) obtenait était très explicite, c'est ce que son configure demandait.....

si vous voulez pouvoir installer/ désinstaller facilement ce logiciel après coup, ne faites pas sudo make install, mais plutôt sudo checkinstall, il vous produit un fichier deb et lance dpkg avec ce qui vous permettra de le supprimer facilement après avec synaptic. (ce qui n'est pas possible avec make install, car le script de désinstallation est contenu dans le fichier make)

bosoir tout le monde  je sui bleu en latex et je veux inserer une image(que j'ai obtenu a partir de gnuplot) dans mon rapport latex et j'ai essayer la commande epstopdf  nom.eps mais  j'ai le message suivant  "  expecting exponent"
quelqu'un peut il m'aider svp
