12.04 LTS sur PC portable: clavier pas entièrement reconnu...

Bonjour,

donc toujours en train de configurer mon nouveau PC portable :  http://www.ldlc.com/fiche/PB00117453.html

et là, j'ai un problème "subtil" car si globalement le clavier est reconnu, par exemple les combinaisons de touches qui devrait me donner les signes > (Fn W)  et < (Fn W "flèche vers le haut") ne fonctionnent pas...

c'est très gênant de devoir passer par le traitement de texte / insertion de caractères spéciaux...

comment trouver la bonne configuration pour qu'il reconnaisse à 100% mon clavier ?

Essaie de faire setxkbmap fr oss dans un terminal, et dis nous si ça va mieux.

Mes randos : grande traversées des Alpes, de l'Islande, de la Corse, du Japon (en vélo), etc.
Traversée des États-Unis à pied

au niveau immédiat cela ne donne absolument rien... c'est exactement pareil... même en faisant sudo devant...

Tu es sûr de ton clavier ? Est-ce que ce n’est pas (par exemple) la touche Fn qui déconne ?

j'en sais rien, mais ce serait étonnant car pour déclencher le wifi elle fonctionne parfaitement... de même que pour régler la luminosité, régler le son, ou mettre en veille...

par contre pour couper le son et  les signes > et < ou le pavé numérique intégré (en bleu sur le clavier) et bien c'est comme si ces signes n'existaient tout simplement pas... sad

La touche Fn est gérée matériellement, le clavier étant reconnu comme un clavier standard.

En tout cas je n'ai jamais vu aucun clavier agissant autrement...

J'ai pourtant eu avec Linux et un autre PC un problème "inverse" : les touches 7 8 9 0 u i o p j k l l m , bloquées en  7 8 9 * 4 5 6 - 1 2 3 + 0

je pense  donc qu'il s'agit d'un truc sur la reconnaissance du clavier mais comme je suis nulle en informatique (et que de toute façon cela ne s'imprime pas dans ma tête) je n'ai pas d'idée de ce qu'il faut faire exactement... wink

Ça c'est quand le verrouillage numérique est activé ; et c'est une fonctionnalité du matériel smile

non, c'était logiciel, un pote linuxien m'a fait copier coller des tas de lignes pour rétablir le truc... mais je ne sais plus quoi (bien sûr !)

en plus sur mon PC pour que verrouillage numérique fonctionne il faut que Fn fonctionne... mais là de toute façon c'est le Pb inverse : Fn ne fonctionne que partiellement...

Étrange, je n'ai jamais vu ça...
Dans la mesure où je ne connais pas tout sur tout, je préfère écrire que ça m'étonne plutôt que d'affirmer que ce n'est pas possible smile

bon il m'a dit de changer de répartition des touches...

j'avais "Français (version obsolète)", j'ai changé pour "Français"...

il y a un petit progrès : je peux taper < mais une seule fois dans la session et c'est comme si c'était bloqué dessus jusqu'à ce que je tape autre chose...

c'est à dire que cela fait ça : <<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<

édit 1 : je me demande si ce n'est pas au niveau des options de clavier que ça se trouve la solution... mais comme je n'y comprend pas grand chose...

édit 2 : bon, il me dit de regarder là parce que lui ferait la configuration des touches manuellement https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Ex … board_Keys mais je n'y comprend rien et je ne vois pas la relation avec les options de clavier qui sont offertes dans les paramètres...

édit 3 : il semblerait que sur ubuntu ceci serait plus approprié http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/keytouch
j'ai installé keytouch editor via la logithèque mais c'est tout aussi incompréhensible pour moi... roll

édit 4 : finalement "Français" pose d'autres problèmes, notamment l'accent ^ ne se met plus sur les lettres et en reste séparé... hmm

Je précise que le "Français" en question était le "sans touches mortes" là j'ai mis "Français tout court, c'est ce qui fonctionne le moins mal, mais toujours avec ce fonctionnement anormal sur la touche Fn

Keytouch est totalement mystérieux pour moi pas plus compréhensible que des lignes de commandes en fait... roll

Des idées de comment augmenter le nombre de touches reconnues ?
(c'est la démarche préconisée, c'est à dire d'utiliser une configuration capable de reconnaître le plus de signaux possibles)

Pour confirmer que le clavier n'est pas en panne, installez rapidement un Windows sur la machine et testez les fonctions au-paravents problématiques. Si ces combinaisons de touches fonctionnent, ce sera alors un soucis avec votre distribution.
Si toutefois eles ne fonctionnaient pas, nous pourrions alors effectuer une prise en charge de la machine.

Utilise xev, d'abord :

Tu exécutes "xev" dans un terminal, une fenêtre apparaît.
Tu pointes sur cette fenêtre avec ta souris.
Et là, toute touche que tu appuieras générera un évènement qui s'affichera dans le terminal. Tu peux alors tester le fonctionnement de ton clavier.

As-tu bien pointé la fenêtre blanche avec la souris et non le terminal ?

Tu dois voir ce genre de lignes :

Le truc intéressant est la partie "keycode" et la parenthèse qui suit.
On n'a pas besoin du contenu (en tout cas pas pour le moment). Il faut juste que tu vérifies, par toi-même, que le comportement et les réponses correspondent à ce qu'on attendrait, en t'inspirant de cet exemple.

Comme tu peux le deviner, je ne suis pas devant ton ordinateur et je ne peux pas valider ou pas que telle ou telle touche fonctionne.
Je vois que tu as tapé sur plein de touches... ça ne m'avance pas à grand chose.
Il faut que tu vérifies que ce qui s'affiche correspond à la touche que tu appuies... en regardant notamment la partie "keycode" et la parenthèse qui suit, ainsi que potentiellement la ligne "XLookupString".

"aucune ne correspond" c'est ennuyeux ! Bon, déjà s'il y a bien des informations qui s'affichent quand tu appuies sur chaque touche (ou combinaison de touches) ça veut dire que ce n'est pas un problème matériel.

Ce que je constate dans ton retour après la phrase "les autres touches qui ne vont pas bien...", c'est que l'ordinateur a compris que tu as successivement tapé les touches suivantes du pavé numérique, sans le verrouillage numérique activé : 7, 8, 9, *, 4, 5, 6, 1, 2, 3, +, -, 0.

C'est exactement ce qu'il se passe quand je tape sur mon clavier (de portable aussi) avec Fn + le "pavé numérique virtuel" - les caractères en bleu sur les touches autour du "i".

Je constate également qu'il n'y a aucune référence au fait que tu auras appuyé sur la touche Fn.

Fn semble fonctionner sans problème. Peux-tu confirmé que tu as tapé Fn-7 puis Fn-8 puis Fn-9 etc etc jusqu'à Fn-? ? Si oui tout marche bien pour cette partie-là du clavier. Pour avoir les chiffres, il faut utiliser Verr. Num. (Fn-Inser sur ton clavier).

Peux-tu réessayer xev avec les combinaisons Fn-W et Fn-Maj.-W ?

Je suggère de rechercher de ce coté. Nous n'avons ensuite pas d'infos sur le clavier du Vulcain retourné car un clavier n'est pas géré comme un périphérique avec un driver à part en général sous Linux. Il s'agit plus d'une question de configuration pure (charset/keyboard layout) et d'associer une réponse aux différentes touches de fonction. Si vous ne parveniez toutefois pas à les configurer le retour reste effectivement la solution la plus simple.

Si vous deviez repasser commande chez nous je suggère plutot le LDLC Aurore BS3, qui fonctionnerait correctement sous Ubuntu après quelques manipulations/configurations. Il dispose pour sa part d'une documentation dédiée sur le site d'Ubuntu :

Un changement de référence direct n'est ensuite pas possible; mais le remboursement de l'autre machine vous permettra de repasser une nouvelle commande si vous le souhaitez, tout en rentrant dans vos frais.

Notez qu'il s'agit là à peu près des seules informations que nous aurons pour les systèmes linux hélas. Nous n'avons en effet pas d'expérience très poussée sous les systèmes alternatifs; et ne pourrons donc pas l'installer/configurer pour vous.
