Beryl et clavier ne font pas bon ménage...

Bonjour !
J'ai deux problèmes qui semblent liés : d'abord, au démarrage, un message d'erreur concernant XKB, donc mon clavier (puis les touches comme ALT GR ne fonctionnent plus) ensuite c'est beryl qui, même s'il est lancé (icone dans la barre des taches) n'est pas actif (métacity prend le relais, pas d'effets ni de bureau 3D...)
J'ai essayé de suivre la procédure dans la doc mais rien à faire il ne veut pas m'écouter.

MAJ du problème : j'ai toujours le message d'erreur xkb, mais les touches comme alt fonctionnent à présent. J'ai édité les programmes au démarrage pour que "beryl" se lance mais pas "beryl-manager" ni emerald. Comme ça je peux avoir le bureau en cube et la transparence pour awn. Mais dès que je réactive beryl-manager ou emerald paf ça plante.
Un conseil ?
