ASUS 1225B - Xubuntu 12.10 - plantages

Bonjour a tous,
J ai des problemes avec Xubuntu sur l ASUS 1225B.
L'écran se fige et l ordi plante -> obligé d'éteindre en forcé avec le bouton maintenu.
Je remarque que ça arrive quand il est sur batterie, sur secteur c'est tres rare.
Et je me demande si ca n'est pas lié au WIFI?? (--reconection en cours--)
Egalement, dans quel fichier log puis je retrouver le journal avant plantage (mais apres redemarage..)

J espere avoir posté sur le bon forum.

Les fichiers journaux sont dans /var/log.
C'est quelle version de Xubuntu ?

C est XUBUNTU 12.10 mais ca faisait pareil sous la 12.04LTS.
Dans VAR LOG c est quel fichier ?

Tente d'abord de donner le contenu de /var/log/Xorg.0.log ou plutôt /var/log/Xorg.0.log.old

As tu essayé la 13.04, au moins en Live sur une clé USB ?

Je prefere m assurer avec la 12.10 car j ai cru lire qu il y avait des plantages avec la 13...

La solution (donnée sur la page) est ceci :

gksu leafpad /etc/default/grub

Rajouter

 i8042.reset i8042.nomux

à la ligne

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash"

Ainsi elle devient :

GRUB_CMDLINE_LINUX_DEFAULT="quiet splash i8042.reset i8042.nomux"

Faire Fichier -> Enregistrer. Puis, fermer la fenêtre de leafpad.

Enfin :

sudo update-grub

Puis, redémarrer.

Les autres problèmes pour le 1225B sont mentionnés dans la doc' (je dis ça au cas où tu les aurais aussi):

Par ailleurs, c'est bien un problème lié au kernel linux, et la 13.04 contient un kernel plus récent.
Après c'est vrai que j'aurais tendance à utiliser une LTS (comme la 12.04) pour être sûr que ça soit stable.
Tu avais essayé cette solution sur la 12.04 ?

Je vais faire cette manip mais je pense qu elle ne reglera que ce probleme (car il y a ça aussi..) de blocage du clavier intempestif au moment du GRUB.

Je ferais un test pour voir si ca regle le probleme de plantage..

Ca y est j ai redemarré et je suis sur la batterie..
Dans l attente...

Je n avais pas essayé sous la 12.04 pour les problemes de plantages car je pensais que ça venait d'un manque de puissance (Secteur / batterie) et d une désactivation du Wifi qui fesait planter le tout.

Salut,

J'ai aussi un asus 1225B et je peux t'aider. Alors la modification de grub règle le problème de gel du clavier/touchpad au démarrage et pour ce qui est du gel aléatoire sur batterie il est réglé avec un kernel plus récent qui est le 3.8 que tu peux installer sur la 12.04 (que je te conseil à la place de la 12.10) en faisant simplement :

 sudo apt-get install linux-generic-lts-raring xserver-xorg-lts-raring

J'ai aussi un 1225B chez moi mais il n'est pas à moi et il est uniquement sous Windows 7 x64. hmm
A part ses problèmes sous GNU/Linux (le plus "grave" étant de ne pas profiter du décodage des vidéos par la CG, chose possible sous Windows), c'est une chouette petite machine.

Je me renseigne en parallele sur le forum Xubuntu, si j ai une solution en gardant la 12.10, je mettrai le lien.
Si je ne trouve pas (a l aide de gars comme vous) la solution, je ferai la manip.->peut etre que je ne pourrai pas attendre..;)

J ai fouillé, j ai trouvé des cas identiques mais pas de solution..j ai peut etre mal cherché?

J ai installé hier soir la 12.04LTS (XUBUNTU) puis modifié le GRUB (cf plus haut) puis installé le KERNEL 3.8.
Redémarré, débranché la batterie... Ca marche...... quelques minutes puis ca freeze comme d hab:(

Oula c'est vraiment bizarre moi ça a réglé le problème immédiatement alors que souvent quand j'étais sur batt' ça bugait au bout de quelques minutes... là je peux y rester plusieurs heures sans le moindre problème... Est tu sûr de bien avoir démarré sur le noyau 3.8 ?

Pour la savoir tape dans un terminal :

uname -a

D'autre part as tu installé les pilotes proprios ATI ? si ce n'est pas le cas ça pourrait être la source du problème et vu que les pilotes par défaut d'ubuntu ne sont pas fait pour le 3.8 faut les installer manuellement depuis le site d'AMD. Allez vu que je suis sympa je vais t'éviter cette corvée tongue
Télécharges les différents paquets deb ici :lien supprimé voir post #25 pour l'installation via le site d'AMD (charges aussi le paquet dans acceleration materielle tu comprendras pourquoi juste après) puis dans un terminal tapes :

cd ./Téléchargements
sudo dpkg -i fglrx*.deb
sudo reboot

Et vois si ça va mieux après ça.

Bon allez voilà l'explication : Une fois les pilotes AMD installés, télécharger le paquet xvba-va-driver ici : http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/pool/m … _amd64.deb

/!\ Ne surtout pas le mettre à jour, les versions plus récentes sont bugées et ça ne fonctionne plus, si jamais ça arrive, désinstaller l'actuel et réinstaller celui-là.

Rajouter dans /etc/environment :

LIBVA_DRIVER_NAME=xvba
LIBVA_DRIVERS_PATH=/usr/lib/va/drivers

puis rebooter.

Ensuite pour voir si ça bien pris effet :

sudo apt-get install vainfo
vainfo

ce qui donne normalement ça  :

libva: VA-API version 0.32.0

Pour être sûr que ça marche au meilleur de ses capacités installer la version daily de VLC (les version antérieurs à la 2.1 fonctionnent mal et bouffe plus de CPU ce qui empêche de lire des vidéos 1080p) :

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:videolan/master-daily
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install vlc

Une fois VLC lancé faire : Outils (tools) → préférences → Lecture / codecs → sélectionner "Video Acceleration (VA) API" en haut à coté de "hardware-accelerated decoding" → enregistrer → redémarrer VLC → Enjoy smile

Ben j'aurais bien pris un second 1225B pour moi, et le décodage par la CG est quelque chose de très utile je trouve (ça évite de chauffer le portable, surtout en HD, et ça permet d'avoir une plus longue autonomie sur batterie) donc ton explication est bienvenue. smile
Au vu de ses multiples problèmes sous GNU/Linux, j'avais laissé tomber l'idée d'acheter un second 1225B pour mon usage perso à l'époque (il y a ~1 an).
(bon par contre j'espère qu'on peut remplacer vlc par smplayer tongue )

Je t'aurais également déconseillé d'acheter ce portable car même avec la bidouille certaines vidéo ne passent pas (à moins de rester sous W$ comme d'hab'), clairement le meilleur pour le moment c'est le  asus x201e 100% intel. J'avais pris le 1225B à l'époque à cause des atom N2600/2800 et leur CG moisie mais en fait ce n'est guère mieux... et le x201e n'était pas encore sorti sinon je l'aurais pris.

J ai egaIement mis les pilotes ATI comme dit plus haut.
D'ailleur ca me met un sens interdit en notification sur le tableau de bord  ....."nombre de paquets casses>0....."

Pour les paquets cassés fais un  :

sudo apt-get install -f

Est-ce que ça a bien installé les pilotes du coup ? Car si ça a mis l'erreur lorsque tu les a installé y'a un truc qui va pas...

Au cas ou je te donne la procédure pour les installer depuis le site d'AMD car c'est souvent que ma connexion bug et il se peut que un des paquets soit corrompu. Pense à supprimer ou déplacer les 3 paquets que tu as déjà téléchargé sinon ça risque de bugger (vu qu'il portent le même nom une fois compilé)

Télécharges : http://www2.ati.com/drivers/linux/amd-d … x86_64.zip puis dézippe-le (clic droit, puis extraire ici). Dans un terminal  :

cd ./Téléchargements
chmod +x amd-driver-installer-catalyst-13-4-linux-x86.x86_64.run
sudo sh ./amd-driver-installer-catalyst-13-4-x86.x86_64.run --buildpkg Ubuntu/precise

attendre qu'il ait fini de compiler les paquets... (c'est assez long)

sudo dpkg -i fglrx*.deb
sudo amdconfig --initial -f
sudo reboot
