[Grub - Résolu par màj] Migration de disque dur.
Configuration :
Disque 1 : IDE Primary Master : Windows
Disque 2 : IDE Primary Slave : Ubuntu (corrompu)
Disque 3 : IDE Secondary Slave : Ubuntu (Que je veux mettre en IDE Primary Slave)
J'ai fais une copie de mon /home ainsi que tous les paquest installé sur le disque 2, pour le mettre sur le disque 3.
Actuellement, grub me propose le booter sur l'ensemble des disque durs.
J'aimerais faire en sorte d'enlever mon disque 2, et de le remplacer par le disque 3, mais j'ai une erreur 17 lors du chargement de grub, malgré un "grub-install /dev/hdb" ou "grub-install /dev/hd1" depuis le Live CD.
J'ai aussi essayé de faire un grub-update, qui s'est voué à une erreur egalement.
Ma question : Comment faire pour avoir en dual boot, mon windows, et mon disque 3, precedement branché en IDE Primary Slave ?

Bonsoir,
si tu as enlevé ton 2e DD, il n'en reste que 2 de branchés (le 1er et le 3eme devenu 2e).
essaie en modifiant dans le menu.lst

j'ai d'abord essayé la 1ere methode proposé, puis la 2nd, et meme une troisieme, en partant d'un C/C de la deuxieme, mais en rajoutant /boot/ au debut du fichier.
rien n'y fait, toujours erreur 17, que faire ?

j'ai trouvé cette commande qui soit disant répare l'erreur 17 a testé:
dd if=/dev/hdb2 of=/bootsect.lin bs=512 count=1

Cette erreur est retournée si la partition demandée existe, mais le type du système de fichiers n'est pas reconnu par GRUB.

As-tu essayé de réinstaller Grub ?
Voir la procédure exposée ici, vers la fin de la page, par exemple :

Réinstaller Grub
On peut installer Grub après coup où l'on veut, à des endroits différents si on le souhaite. On utilise pour cela l'excellente procédure communiquée par cep :
Depuis un live cd, ouvrir un terminal avec sudo -s puis :
grub --batch
find /boot/grub/stage1
root (hd?,?)
setup (hd?,?)
quit
exit
Plus de détails sur cette procédure ici.
Tu peux lancer la réinstallation depuis un live cd ou bien depuis une installation ubuntu de ton disque dur si tu peux la lancer.

Tu as toujours l'erreur 17 car tu boot toujours sur l'ancien Grub qui est dans le MBR du disque 0, alors que tu as installé Grub sur (hd1,0).
Tu dois recommencer la procédure grub--batch, avec la valeur setup (hd0).

Je ne comprends pas ce que tu veux dire par "lorsque je veux m'y rendre". Si tu fais simplement entrée, l'OS en surbrillance doit démarrer. Est-ce que cela fonctionne ? Et si tu passes une autre ligne en surbrillance, c'est cet OS qui se lance lorsque tu fais entrée. A quel endroit de cette procédure as-tu l'erreur 15 ?

Bonjour Dr4gOoN
Je pense que ton système continue à chercher un fichier sur hdc (hd2) qui n'existe plus puisque migré en hdb (hd1). C'est ce qui se passait lorsque le système renvoyait l'erreur 17. Lors de l'installation initiale, les fichiers de configuration ont enregistré des liens sur hdc. Ce n'est plus une question de lanceur, résolu aver le dernier setup, c'est tout le système qui est paramétré pour fonctionner sur hdc.
J'entrevois 3 solutions :
1) Rechercher et modifier tous les fichiers de configuration et modifier hdc en hdb. Je ne sais pas si cela est possible, ni si cela fonctionnera apres. Et surtout, ne pas en oublier sous peine d'erreurs. Cette solution me semble utopique.
2) Remettre le disque dur en hdc, et reconstruire le MBR sur hda. On se retrouve dans la situation initiale.
3) Formatter hdb1, et y réinstaller Ubuntu, qui créera alors les bons liens avec les bonnes adresses. C'est certainement la solution la plus fiable. Songe à sauvegarder tes données auparavent.

lorsque tu commences à jouer avec tes partitions, tu as deux endroits à modifier en permanence
1- les paramètres de grub
2- le fichier /etc/fstab de ta (tes) partition(s) linux
si tu arrives jusqu'au menu de boot de grub, il pourrait s'agir d'un pb dans ton fichier /etc/fstab
quel est l'état de ce fichier actuellement?
Win-dose ? Tu te drogues ?
