[Résolu] Dual boot sur ASUS Q500A avec windows 8, booter sur usb

portable ASUS Q500A BHI7-T05
equipé d un windows 8 en UEFI.

J ai désamorcé le démarrage rapide de W8 pour pouvoir accéder au bios/efi menu :tappocher "F2" au démarrage
J ai désactivé le secure boot
J ai galéré longtemps longtemps pour comprendre qu il n'y a rien dans le bios/efi menu qui permet d'aller chercher la cle usb
Il faut pour cela faire "ESC (echap) " au démarrage , et la on entre dans un autre menu qui permet de sélectionner le périphérique a booter.

j ai une clé usb avec la version "internationale" de Saucy Salamader 13.04 créée avec usb-creator

la live session est prometteuse .... le wi-fi , l'ecran touch , le clavier retro éclairé..... c est la fete! 

je me suis dégagé un belle partition de 525G en guise d aquarium pour la salamandre .

Je crois comprendre que les problemes devrait etre reglés avec 13.04 et EFI ... mais voila je n ai pas fait de dual boot depuis ... hmmm Lucid Lynx ! alors avant de ma lancer .....

On peut voir que tu as dégagé une zone non-allouée de 301-165=136 GB (elle se trouve entre ta partition "OS" et ta partition "Data") dans laquelle tu pourrais installer Ubuntu. As-tu l'intention d'utiliser ta partition "Data" comme partition commune à Windows 8 et Ubuntu pour le stockage comme expliqué là : 3.1 Partition de partage de données avec Windows, MacOS ou autre
Ou au contraire tu souhaites cloisonner entre Windows 8 et Ubuntu (ça peut éviter à Windows 8 de recevoir des virus par l'intermédiaire de Ubuntu) ? Dans le premier cas (partition commune. C'est ce que je pratique toujours et c'est ce que je conseille à tout le monde), il convient de maximiser la taille de la partition "Data" en faisant maigrir les partitions des OS. A cet égard, les 428 GB actuels de ta partition "Data" sont insuffisants : il conviendrait de faire maigrir encore le "disque C:" de Windows 8 pour qu'il soit aux environs de 100 GB (au lieu de 164GB actuellement) mais il est possible que l'OS refuse de maigrir plus. Et pour Ubuntu, il faut une partition racine de 20 GB, une partition swap et c'est tout (pas de partition /home). Le but, c'est de faire de la place pour avoir la partition Data de la plus grande taille possible.
Dans le deuxième cas (tu souhaites cloisonner), il faut partitionner autrement (on en reparlera le cas échéant).
Peux-tu me dire quel est ton choix sur ce point ?

Serieux Malbo tu es un vrai phare dans la nuit pour les novices egarés dans la tempête de l installation. Entre l EFI, l 'optimus , les SSD bonjour la convivialité !

L'installation s est bien déroulée.
le boot menu est le GNU grub . ubuntu en premier.
J ai gardé ta suggestion de la partition data commune. comme j avais effacé la data d origine j en ai recréé une avec la gestion de partoche lors de l'installation. Pas aussi grande que souhaitable car j ai trop allouer à root (/) et en FAT32 puisque NTFS ne semble pas disponible dans le menu déroulant. Il est possible toutefois de la formater en NTFS depuis windows .
Bien tenté de réduire Windows mais comme tu t en doutais la bestiole est gourmande , pas possible de descendre en bas de 145G. Je fait ça avec le gestionnaire de partitons de windows après défragmentation. Évidement depuis G-parted on peut récupérer 100g de plus mais c est un coup a effacer des données j imagine.
La partition d échange est bien accessible des deux OS, c est vrai que c est pratique
j ai indiqué un point de montage a la partition windows tel que recommandé.
Je n'avais pas l 'intention de cloisonner ne connaissant pas l existence de la contamination entre OS , j irai me renseigner sur ce sujet .

Alors fais-le sans attendre depuis Windows de passer en NTFS cette partition se stockage commune. Il ne faut pas rester avec FAT32 car c'est moins sécurisé que NTFS.
Pour le montage de cette partition, après que tu l'auras formatée en NTFS, je te suggère d'utiliser ntfs-config : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/tutoriel/ntfs#configuration
Le maniement n'est pas évident de cet "Outil de configuration NTFS" et bien souvent on se retrouve - en plus du montage voulu de la partition commune de stockage en NTFS - avec un montage en lecture/écriture de la partition système de Windows (le disque C:) ce qui n'est pas forcément souhaitable, voire risqué (ici) si on prend la vilaine habitude d'écrire directement sur le C: de Windows depuis Ubuntu. Pour arranger cela, il suffira d'éditer avec pouvoir administrateur* le fichier fstab et de mettre le caractère # en tête de la ligne qui définit le montage de la partition système de Windows. Ainsi, cette ligne sera considérée comme un commentaire au démarrage et la partition système de Windows ne sera pas montée automatiquement. Elle pourra être montée, mais manuellement. 

* en pratique, il faut juste passer la commande :

sudo gedit /etc/fstab

le fichier fstab s'ouvre dans l'éditeur de texte, on fait la modif, on enregistre avant de sortir de l'éditeur de texte et c'est fait. Au prochain démarrage, la modif est appliquée.

evdement depuis le formatage en ntfs de la partition partagée (data) sous W8 elle ne se monte plus.

j ai fait mouliner ntfs-config mais ca n a pas l air d operer (je na i aps le choix de ''valider'' dans l outil graphique juste de fermer)....

j ai verifier l intergrité de la partition avec ntfsfix . tout est ok .

dans le fichier fstab il y a bien # pour la partition de windows .

a date quand je tente d ecrire dans ma partition ''data''  depuis linux (apres l avoir monté) il y a une erreur de ''moteur''. 
je pense qu il y a un outil pour redefinir le point de montage je vasi tenter ca ..
si cela ne fonctionne pas je me refait une install en recréant une partition partage depuis windows avec un taille un peu plus généreuse.

Poste ton Boot-Info afin que je puisse te guider mais au lieu de faire ce Boot-Info depuis une session live, fais-le depuis ta session du Ubuntu installé

N'oubliez pas de régler votre BIOS pour qu'il amorce sur le fichier sda1/efi/.../grub*.efi !

Effectivement, c'est un peu le bordel dans ton fichier fstab. J'ai expliqué dans le post #4 comment procéder pour modifier ce fichier.

Commentaires :
- je ne sais pas où tu avait piqué la fin de la ligne de montage pour /dev/sda8 mais moi je t'ai mis ce qu'il convient de mentionner (tu pourras faire un copier-coller depuis une autre ligne où il y a la partie "defaults,locale=fr_CA.UTF-8    0    0"
- l'idée c'est que seule la partition sda8 est à mentionner dans le fsatb parce qu'elle fait le montage de la partition commune de stockage : toutes les autres lignes qui existaient pour monter une partition NTFS sont inopportunes et c'est pourquoi je te demande de mettre le caractère # en tête afin qu'elles ne soient pas prises en compte
- je règle aussi le compte de la ligne de montage de la partition UUID=5C0C-F7AD car cette partition (anciennement en FAT32) n’existe plus. Là aussi, je te demande de mettre # en tête de la ligne.

Ok j avais pas bien saisie le coup du ""#'' devant la ligne qui défini  le montage   (UUID...) versus devant la ligne qui nome la partition (Entry for...).
Et bien du coup tout est propre est clair. Partition de partage bien opérable des deux coté du miroir (W8/ubuntu). le montage se fait sous ubuntu sans souci ni erreur .

Le coup de rajouter le caractère #, ça permet de conserver la ligne au cas où on aurait fait une erreur en voulant la supprimer. Mais à présent que tu as fait tes modifs et que tu les as validées, ce serait bien que tu fasses le ménage en supprimant les lignes inutiles. Il ne devrait rester que ça :
