[Abandonné] Partition EFI "pas vue" et démarrage impossible

Bonjour,
Après avoir installé Xubuntu en mode UEFI sur un SSD, je ne peux pas démarrer le PC dans ce mode.
L'uefi est bien en mode uefi et le secure boot est désactivé.

J'ai tenté une réparation avec boot-repair et ce dernier considère que je n'ai pas de partition EFI en début de disque avec un drapeau "boot". Ce qui est faux car je la vois bien avec Gparted.
Pour essayer de comprendre ce qu'il se passe, j'ai supprimé cette partition et je l'ai recrée toujours avec Gparted, en fat32, 200Mo et "boot".

A la suite de cela, j'ai demandé une réparation à boot-repair et il ne voit toujours pas cette partition EFI. Avez-vous une idée sur la façon de régler ce problème ?
Je voulais joindre un rapport boot-info, mais le clic sur son bouton ne déclenche aucune action. Rien ne se passe.

pour voir quelle version de Boot-Repair est utilisée ainsi que ce qu’il voitde la partition efi, peux-tu donner le retour des commandes suivantes ?

Démarre sur une liveUSB ou un LiveDVD de Xubuntu et fais un Boot-Info depuis cette session live en t'appuyant sur le paragraphe : 1. Méthode standard: depuis une session Ubuntu

Hélas, je suis bien en live usb et le boot-info ne veut pas se faire. Je peux faire toutes les commandes qui te sont utiles.

Une lecture rapide du boot-info montre qu'il ne voit qu'une partition sur les deux de mon disque ssd de 120 Go Et curieusement, il voit la vfat, donc l'EFI, et pas la ext4 de /.
Ce disque aurait-il des soucis ?

Le disque de 240 Go avec Arch et en legacy  est celui de mon PC fixe.

Oui, ce dual boot est plutôt exotique. De plus, sda a une partion 2 et une partition 3 mais on n’y vois pas de trace de sda1.
En revanche, on peut voir des traces de sdb2 mais en effet pas de trace d’installation de Xubuntu.

Je ne saurais que dire pour tenter de remettre tout ça d’aplomb mais ton cas est intéressant et, à ta place, je le signalerais en mettant un lien vers ce fil dans le fil de Yannubuntu dédié à l’amélioration de la détection de l’esp.

Oui, ce dual boot est plutôt exotique.

En fait, ce n'est pas une fin en soi. C'est juste pour installer un disque pour quelqu'un qui le mettra sur son laptop en UEFI.

Peut-être mais au moins il n’y aura pas d’ambiguïté avec les deux types de tables de partitions.

Bonsoir,

Il suffit tout simplement d'installer Xubuntu en mode EFI sur le DD "sdb" qui contient cette partition "FAT32" c'est-à-dire "ESP" et amorcer en mode "UEFI"

c'est justement ce qui a été fait et qui pose problème.

Bon, au lieu de démonter le PC, et pour voir comment se comporte ce disque de 120 Go, je suis en train de faire une nouvelle installation en mode legacy.
De cette façon  il n’y aura pas d’ambiguïté avec les deux types de tables de partitions et l'installation sera refaite. On verra ensuite pour le mode UEFI ...

Je vous remercie tous et passe ce sujet en abandonné. Rendez-vous sur le nouveau pour la suite.

J'ai tenté une réparation avec boot-repair et ce dernier considère que je n'ai pas de partition EFI en début de disque avec un drapeau "boot". Ce qui est faux car je la vois bien avec Gparted.

Tu as bien vérifié si tu vois cette partition puis coché cette partition "FAT32" depuis "Options avancées" via "Boot-Repair" avant de lancé la réparation recommandée ?

Quand j'essaie de comprendre le lien que tu as donné, j'en retire que le seul problème, c'était le boîtier externe USB dans lequel tu avais monté le SSD. C'était quoi ce boîtier externe USB qui était la cause du problème (modèle, fabricant) ?

Bonjour Malbo,
C'est comme au théatre, on sort d'un côté et on rentre de l'autre

Bon, pour cette histoire, de mon point de vue, il y avait un cumul de deux choses :
* le firmware et ses secteurs de 4096, d'ailleurs le gars de la boutique m'a dit que sur les modèles précédents il y avait eu des mises à jour parce que il arrivait que windows ne boote plus. C'est bien ce qui se passait avec les partitions EFI ou bios-grub non vues.

* le boitier qui ne boote pas pour une raison inconnue. A force de tests, je ne suis pas certain d'avoir déjà booté sur lui avec ce disque ou un autre, je pense que oui.
Il faudrait refaire une batterie de tests, mais là je vais m'occuper de remplir la hotte du père noël.
C'est un bluestork nr bs 2p5 id d'après la facture.

Quand à ce que je voulais faire, rien de compliqué : juste installer sur un disque externe SSD pour ensuite le monter en remplacement d'un HDD d'origine sur un laptop que je n'avais pas pour le moment. Donc bien sûr je le faisais sur mon PC qui a déjà son OS.

Un cordon de 1 mètre ça me parait excessif à cause de la chute de tension dans le cordon - du fait que l'alimentation du SSD passe par le cordon -  qui peut entraîner des perturbations. Dans ton cas, ça ne semble pas avoir créé de problèmes mais c'est un point à considérer à mon avis.

PS : un truc que je ne connaissais pas :
Là je poste de mon PC dont l'UEFI est sur "uefi". J'ai lancé mon OS Antergos, installé en mode msdos, à partir du GRUB de Xubuntu installé en UEFI !
J'ai vu la possibilité quand, sur le nouveau Xubuntu UEFI, j'ai fait un update-grub après avoir changé le durée du timeout de GRUB. Là, à ma grande surprise,  mon Antergos est apparu en second OS.
Au redémarrage suivant, toujours en UEFI, le GRUB de Xubuntu m'a aussi proposé Antergos que j'ai choisi et m'y voilà.

Cette fois c'est moi qui sors

Je viens de compléter les tests de fonctionnement de ce boitier externe Bluestork avec mon PC et cela mérite une précision.

Le boot est possible avec un disque HDD classique et impossible avec le SSD Crucial M500 de 120 Go.
