[RESOLU] Dual boot Ubuntu 16.04 LTS et Windows 10
Bonjour,
J'ai installé Windows 10 sous une machine HP.
J'ai décide un dual boot avec Ubuntu 16.04
Mais a chaque fois que j'installais Ubuntu, le dual ne marchais pas. Il y avait seulement Ubuntu au démarrage du système( le menu ne propose pas Windows 10 à lancer). Puis en cherchant je suis tombé sur ça https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/uefi. La partie 6.3 Solution& . Je l'ai appliqué, puis OK, Puis le dual boot est venu
Mais ce que je veux savoir:
-Est ce que Ubuntu 16.04 est vraiment stable pour l'installer.
- Je veux que le menu de dual boot ne soit pas dans Ubuntu ni dans Windows non plus (En fait si un jour Ubuntu a un problème de démarrage, je ne pourrai plus avoir accès à Windows tant que Ubuntu n' est pas répare (du moins c'est que je crois) puisque c'est en lui que se trouve le menu de dual boot )
Je veux que ça soit le bios qui gère le dual boot indépendamment des systèmes installés.
Sont -ils possibles, mes souhaits?
Une dernière chose SVP
Durant la partitionnement sous Ubuntu, je trouve que mon disque dur fait 750 Gb; alors que sous Windows, je vois 700 Gb;
Comment trancher sur la taille de HDD?

Pour la réparation du paragraphe 6.3 Solutions , ll y a deux techniques possibles, Peux-tu dire laquelle tu as utilisé.
Comme tu as installé ubuntu 16.04, Il est un peu tard pour se poser la question de sa fiabilité.
Le menu dual boot n'est pas dans ubuntu mais dans GRUB qui est un lanceur d'OS.
C'est donc plutôt la question de la fiabilité de ce lanceur d'OS qu'il faut évoquer.
Je lui connais trois points faibles.
a) En présence d'une grande quantité de versions UBUNTU installées et panachage de ces versions, Il arrive à ne plus savoir afficher la liste lorsqu'elle atteint des milliers de lignes.
b) Il n'aime pas certaine cartes graphiques et dans ce cas, il n'affiche rien. il faut lui imposer de ne pas afficher en graphique (nomodeset) Mais le cas est systématiquement détecté lors du premier essai.
c) La partition de boot du grub détruite.
Mais c'est déjà le bios qui gère l'OS à booter!!!! Comme le bios de ton micro est EFI, Il faut probablement apprendre à l'apprivoiser.
Si tu indiques la référence exacte de ton micro, Tu auras certainement le bon conseil.
A tout hasard, pour un HP c'est souvent la touche F9 ou F12 qui permet le choix. Pour d'autre c'est la touche F2
Dernier point. Le gestionnaire de partition de ubuntu affiche toutes les partitions y compris celles que windows cache ( hidden ) à son utilisateur.

Ce que tu souhaites dépend uniquement des capacités de ton BIOS et rien d'autre :
1-afficher les os disponibles dans le boot menu, mais en général le boot menu ne propose que les supports internes/externes.
2-(cerise sur le gateau) afficher directement le boot menu à l'allumage du pc, plutôt que le logo OEM, ou du BIOS.
A ma connaissance, aucun BIOS n'offre ces deux points donc, comparativement, le GRUB, indépendant par ailleurs de la distro installée, est encore ce qu'il y a de plus souple pour du dual-multi-boot.

j'ai utilisé la solution 1
mais l'installation n'est pas en mode UEFI.
l'appareil est HP Pavillon 15 Notebook PC

Bonsoir.
Pour un micro non EFI, avec un seul disque dur, tu n'as pas de solution simple pour te passer du grub.
La seule que je connaisse est la suivante:
Installer le MBR de démarrage de ubuntu sur une clé USB. Remettre en état le MBR de SDA.
Si la clé USB est branchée, c'est ubuntu qui met en route, sinon c'est windows, Mais si tu égares la clé, ubuntu ne met plus en route!
Je serais heureux que tu fasses un boot-info car dire que le boot n'est pas EFI et appliquer une correction EFI est assez contradictoire.

Pour répondre à Lucmars,
je crois que le dual boot ou le boot simplement est après le demarrage du Bios;
Mais pourquoi faudrait-il le démarrage d'un OS autre que le Bios pour integrer le boot d'un système adjacent alors que les deux fonctionnent indépendamment (à en croire le concept du dual boot ).
Peut être que ce je veux n'est pas possible techniquement, mais logiquement cela devrait etre ainsi et on doit y penser à le faire techniquement.
Le problème majeur est que si le système qui permet d'affiche le menu de boot est en panne,
alors tout est foutu pour l'autre tant que l'autre n'est pas réparer.
Et c'est que je tente d’éviter.

Je n'en suis pas certain mais je pense que cet ordi n'est pas équipé du système UEFI (*). Tu es donc forcé de faire cohabiter Windows et Ubuntu dans le même disque dur, tous les deux installés en mode Bios classique comme c'est le cas actuellement. Dans ce cas, la solution la plus efficace est de laisser Grub gérer le dual-boot. Ce que tu voudrais obtenir, la gestion du dual-boot par le Bios n'existe pas dans ce cas des deux OS sur le même disque. Cela existe et ça marche très bien en mode Bios, quand on a deux disques durs avec Ubuntu sur un disque et Windows sur l'autre (voir croquis sur cette doc).
(*) tu ne t'es pas foulé en indiquant plus haut "l'appareil est HP Pavillon 15 Notebook PC". Avec ça, on n'en sait pas assez. Tu pourrais t'inspirer de ce post pour trouver l'information "produit" : https://forum.ubuntu-fr.org/viewtopic.p … #p11268521
Avec cette information "produit", on peut arriver à retrouver précisément le modèle comme j'ai pu le faire ici et ça permettrait de confirmer que le modèle en question n'est pas équipé du système UEFI.

Mais là, l'unité est le Gio et 750 Go, ça correspond à ces 698,7 Gio (voir convertisseur)

C'est dommage qu'on ne puisse pas trouver le modèle de ton ordi par ce moyen. Cependant, je profite du vieil adage qui dit qu'un ordi a l'âge de son Core : ton processeur Intel Core i3-4005U est sorti en 2013 (voir "Date de lancement") et à cette date tous les PC étaient équipés du système UEFI. Je me suis trompé quand j'ai supposé dans le post #9 que ton ordi n'était pas équipé de ce système. Ce qu'il est possible de faire, c'est de réinstaller complètement Windows et Ubuntu pour que tous les deux soient installés en mode EFI. Évidemment, tout ce qu'il y a actuellement sur le disque dur sera écrasé. Quand Windows et Ubuntu sont tous les deux installés en mode EFI, on peut effectivement obtenir une gestion du dual-boot par le "Bios" (par le système UEFI) comme tu le souhaites.

Il faut déjà installer Windows 10 tout seul dans le disque dur en mode EFI. Je te suggère de laisser faire l'installateur de Windows en automatique (le laisser effacer tout le disque et créer lui-même les partitions). Après installation et vérification du bon fonctionnement de Windows 10, poster ton Boot-Info dans la présente discussion pour qu'on puisse s'assurer que tout baigne (pas de clé à molette dans le réacteur) et si c'est OK, on te donnera les directives pour installer Ubuntu en cohabitation avec Windows 10.

A l'allumage de la machine, j'ai plus la possiblité d'acceder au bios,
j'ai ce message

Ça progresse a taton. je fais avec.
J'ai réussi a acceeder au bios pas par la methode classique.
Mais avec la touche Esc [maintenu] puis je choisi les F (F1, F2 etc)
J'ai desactivé le secure boot, qu'est qu'il reste à faire s'il vous plait pour installer le OS Windows 10?

La table de partition en GPT ce n'est nécessaire que si tu veux Windows 10 en UEFI mais tu peux très bien installer Windows 10 en mode legacy sur du MBR. Pratiquement tous les bios récent qui ont UEFI gère aussi le mode Legacy.

C'est le mode legacy que nous voulons eviter car on veut faire un dual boot que j'ai decrit dans mon premier poste.
pour ce faire Malbo preconise une installation en mode Uefi etant donné que mon appareil est doté d'un système Uefi.

Tu trouveras dans cette grille le choix de boot pour un ordinateur HP récent.
Il faut convertir le disque en GPT:
En Live session ubuntu
a) Supprimer toutes les partitions.
b) Utiliser l'onglet 'périphériques" et posiitionner sur GPT.
Ne pas oublier de faire exécuter les actions.
et recommencer l'installation de windows 10.
