Scanner introuvable RESOLU

Bonjour suite à de multiples Pb d'impression j'ai viré HPLIP et ça fonctionne beaucoup mieux. Avant ça le scanner fonctionnait parfaitement.
Par contre, le scanner n'est plus détecté alors que

found USB scanner (vendor=0x03f0 [HP], product=0xb011 [Deskjet 3520 series]) at libusb:001:005

et ceci avec simple scan ou Xsane.
 
D'autres tests pris sur un autre post :

  libdiscid0 libgmime-2.6-0 libgpgme11 libqt4-help libqt4-scripttools
  libqt4-test libqtassistantclient4 libtotem-plparser18 python-qt4 python-sip
Veuillez utiliser « apt-get autoremove » pour les supprimer.
0 mis à jour, 0 nouvellement installés, 0 à enlever et 0 non mis à jour.

Après de multiples manips prises ici ou là sur le forum, ça refonctionne; mais sans savoir pourquoi ????
