palemoon

Salut à tous
j'ai installer palemoon sans faire appel à l'installateur fournit ici: http://linux.palemoon.org/download/installer/

Et rien.

Puis, j'ai télécharger palemoon.tar ici: http://linux.palemoon.org/atom/ ce qui est le paquet palemoon
de 64b pour linux, et je l'ai décompresser mais lancer palemoon en cliquant sur l'icône ne fonctionne pas.

Je résume : j'ai fait n'importe quoi et ça ne fonctionne pas....
Donc, fais comme la doc et ça fonctionnera...

En fait non, j'ai suivi la méthode ici: http://linux.palemoon.org/download/installer/

Et j'ai télécharger pminstaller,  ensuite j'ai télécharger le fichier compresser .tar de palemoon sur un site miroir ici:  http://linux.palemoon.org/atom/

Puis j'ai lu le fichier lisez moi de pminstaller:

- Extract the contents of the archive to your home directory.
- Run the "pminstaller.sh" script from the file manager by double clicking on
it. If, however, this does not work for some reason, then open a terminal
emulator window, type the following and hit enter.

        ~/pminstaller.sh

  (Assuming the "pminstaller.sh" script is placed in the home directory, as
instructed above).
- Follow the on-screen prompts to continue.

Notes:

- At this time, pminstaller cannot install the Atom optimized builds of Pale
Moon for Linux. You have to manually download them from
http://linux.palemoon.org/atom/
- Some file managers treat the pminstaller.sh file as a normal text file and
will try to open it as such (in a text editor). In such cases you must run the
installer in a terminal using this command:
/path/to/the/installer/pminstaller.sh
- Do not invoke the installer as root (e.g. "sudo ./pminstaller.sh"). On some
distros, the sudo command will strip the XAUTHORITY variable (without which any
graphical program cannot run). The installer automatically elevates itself
using su(do).
- If you recieve a "Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display" error when trying to
run the installer, ensure that xhost is installed on your system then try to
run the installer again.
- The installer may not run on some "lightweight" distributions since the
standard command line tools use busybox (which does not implement all features
of the required command line tools).
- If the installer does not run because the built-in copy of yad complains
about being unable to load a particular library, then you likely do not have
the basic dependencies required for any recent Mozilla based product. Please
update the related libraries and try again.
- If you have any specialized requirements that the installer does not serve
out of the box, then please use the manual installation instructions on the
Pale Moon for Linux site (http://linux.palemoon.org/help/installation/).
- For further information, please check the pminstaller release notes or visit
the forum (see links below).

Et pm installer s'est tu, rien en fait.
J'ai essayé un autre méthode que j'ai trouvé à tâton pour icecat et qui a fonctionné.

Alors j'ai décompressé le fichier .tar comme je l'avais fait pour icecat.
Puis j'ai voulu lancer palemoon en cliquant sur l'icone de lancement ou par le terminal mais rien.

Salut,

A mon avis, laisse tomber cette méthode. Retire-moi tout ça et installe depuis un dépôt, ça n'en sera que plus simple (et tu auras les mises à jour automatiques). Je trouve Palemoon très bien, soit dit en passant.

Icecat n'a à mon avis que peu d'intérêt. Je ne sais pas si on peut ajouter un ppa pour ubuntu.

Bonsoir à tous
merci pour le lien Nicolas, j'ai téléchargé le fichier pour un système 64b et puis j'ai voulu réaliser l'installation suivre
les commandes pour terminal, fournis pour xubunut 14.04, j'ai ubuntu 14.04, je n'avais qu'à échanger xubuntu par ubuntu dans une ligne.
Mais avant j'ai voulu m'assurer que le paquet était bien présent dans le répertoire et j'ai cliqué dessus par hasard et bien il s'est installé tout seul et a mis en branle la logithèque qui a fait tout le travail.
Palemoon s'est installé sans rien tapé sur le terminal, décidément j'ai plusieurs doc mais ni pour icecat ni pour palemoon ne se sotn avérer nécessaire.

Sinon je vais voir où trouver le paquet de français.
