Problème installation manuelle Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS - Type d'install'
Bonjour,
Je souhaite installer Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS en cohabitation avec W8.1 UEFI. J'ai donc suivi tous vos tuto (très complet d'ailleurs, merci !) tels que:

Après avoir passé plusieurs jours à me documenter sur ceux-ci et d'autres, je télécharge l'iso "...desktop.amd64.iso" depuis: http://releases.ubuntu.com/trusty/ .
(J'ai d'abord essayé l'iso pour processeur Intel vu que c'est mon cas mais ils ne permettent pas de monté un .iso partitionné en GPT démarrable en UEFI).
Je fais donc un premier test via OracleVM, test OK. J'en fais un second avec la LiveUSB "Try Ubuntu without installing..." -> Test OK (je vous écris depuis celle-ci).
Je lance l'installation en suivant les indications du tuto de malbo. Je sélectionne l'installation manuelle "Autre chose" et j'arrive à l'étape où je suis censé créer mes partions ext et swap.
Sauf que contrairement à ce qu'indique le tuto de malbo, la partition "espace libre" n'a pas d'espace libre (0MB affiché. Voir screenshot ci-dessous).. Alors que j'ai presque 300Go libre sur C:\ et envirion 400Go sur D:\.. http://hpics.li/089f1e1
Je me dit donc peut-être qu'il faut créer une partition efi pour Ubuntu puis je lis que non ( https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/uefi ) : Dans le cas de Windows 8 préinstallé (et certains Windows 7 préinstallés), une partition EFI existe déjà. Il ne faut pas en créer une autre : cette partition sera réutilisée par l'installateur manuel de Ubuntu sans qu'on ait besoin de définir quoi que ce soit pour elle.
Je me dis donc peut-être que je devrais plutôt choisir "Installer Ubuntu à côté de Windows Boot Manager" mais le tuto de malbo indique bien qu'il ne faut pas installer autre chose que "Autre Chose" en raison d'un bug de l'installateur automatique qui ne reconnaitra pas Windows durant l'installation.
Pensez-vous que ça peut-être à cause de ma VirtualBox Ubuntu installée sur W8.1 (même version mais iso Intel) ?

The settings chosen by the user will not act on the boot.Une triple buse avait trafiqué la doc https://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/cohabitation_ubuntu_windows que tu as cité dans ton post #1 : je viens de la réparer. Ce petit trouduc avait supprimé carrément le paragraphe "2.2 Repartitionnement de votre disque dur". C'est justement cette phase que tu n'as pas faite. Tu verras qu'elle renvoie vers la page "Repartitionner un disque déjà équipé d'un système d'exploitation" et pour toi qui est équipé de Windows 8.1, c'est le paragraphe 3.1 pour Vista, Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 que tu devras mettre en œuvre afin de faire maigrir un peu ton disque C: de Windows.

Bonjour malbo,
Oui il s'agit bien du modèle que tu as trouvé (je n'arrivais pas à trouver le nom complet. J'ai marqué le nom qui est indiqué en dessous de mon PC).
Et pour le boot-info je ne sais pas l'interpréter.. Je ne sais pas à quoi correspondent toutes ces partitions, et je ne sais pas pourquoi dans la table des partitions de l'installateur Ubuntu ( http://hpics.li/089f1e1 ) je n'ai pas d'espace libre..
EDIT: oublier cette réponse je n'avait pas vu la suite de ton post.. Je vais essayer. Merci beaucoup !

Il y a quelque chose que je voudrais ajouter par rapport au choix de la version de Ubuntu. Je pense que la version 14.04.5 LTS que tu as l'intention d'installer doit parfaitement convenir à ton modèle d'ordi, cependant cette version est maintenue jusqu'en Avril 2019 (source) alors que tu pourrais essayer - puis installer si tout baigne - la dernière version LTS qui est la 16.04 : elle est maintenue jusqu'en Avril 2021 donc 2 ans de plus que l'autre. Sauf si tu as de bonnes raisons de détester la 16.04, je pense que tu devrais au moins l'essayer...

Autre petite question: si je coche l'option "Télécharger les mises à jours pendant l'installation" comme tu le recommande, il va mettre à jour la version d'Ubuntu ou juste les logiciels utilisés ? Car je veux pas la 16.x.x. mais bien celle du live. Dois-je décocher ce paramètre avant l'installation ?

EDIT: (décidémment on post en même temps ! :-p) Oui et bien justement hier j'ai essayé le liveUSB de la 16.04 mais ça ne tourne pas aussi bien qu'avec la 14.04 !
Exemple : mon premier test fût de télécharger l'IDLE python (sur le net car la logithèque Linux ne le trouvait pas) vu qu'il n'était pas pré-installer contrairement à la version 14.04 et je n'ai même pas reussi à l'installer (peut-être à cause de la session live ?) Donc j'ai préféré resté sur la 14.04 avec laquelle je n'ai rencontré aucun problème.

A partir du moment où ton choix est motivé, ça ne me pose aucun problème et la version 14.04.5 va très bien. Si tu coches l'option "Télécharger les mises à jours pendant l'installation", il n'y aura que des mises à jours des paquets de la version 14.04.5. Il n'y aura pas de passage à la version 16.04. Quand il y a changement de version, on parle de "mise à niveau" (voir ici) et non pas de "mise à jour".

Moi je cherche a monter de 14.04.05 à la 16.4 mais je n'arrive pas , Cela ce plante !!!
l'application Software Update a quitté de façon inattendue ??? Problème Crash
et j'ai un petit sans interdit a coté de mon icone de Wifi ??
Bon je ne sais pas si tu pourra me répondre d'ici l'année prochaine ??
