Redémarage bloqué après passage d'Ubuntu 16.04 vers 18.04

Bonjour,
J'ai un HP Streamx360 qui tournait sous Ubuntu 16.04 et ai décidé de le passer sous 18.04.
Après un update du système et un `sudo do-release-upgrade` un message de type "no new release found" est apparu, signifiant après recherche qu'il était préférable d'attendre la "late July" pour un upgrade vers 18.04 dans mon cas.
J'ai tout de même décidé d'accélérer le process en suivant les conseils du site suivant: https://linuxconfig.org/how-to-upgrade- … nic-beaver.
J'ai choisi la voie "how to upgrade the Debian way", en suivant les étapes:
`sudo sed -i 's/xenial/bionic/g' /etc/apt/sources.list`

ainsi que :
`sudo apt update && sudo apt -y dist-upgrade`

L'installation a pris un certain temps, mais sans accroc. Une fois terminée, j'ai redémarré ma machine, mais le boot s'arrête désormais à un bel écran noir avant même la page de login.

Aurais-je loupé une étape? Tout conseil me permettant de découvrir ce fameux Beaver serait grandement apprécié!

Bonjour,
Je te prie de réaliser un support Live de Ubuntu 18.04 64 bits (soit un LiveDVD soit une LiveUSB) et de démarrer ton ordi dessus en session live (choix Essayer Ubuntu). Tu feras un Boot-Info depuis la session live et tu donneras l'URL de ce Boot-Info dans ta réponse.
Motif de ma proposition :
- vérifier que la version 18.04 peut tourner correctement en session live (chose que tu aurais dû faire avant même de lancer ta mise à niveau 16.04 vers 18.04, comme c'est conseillé dans le paragraphe 4. J'ai choisi de passer à la nouvelle version d'Ubuntu. Dois-je prendre des précautions particulières ? de la doc "Mise à niveau (migration)" )
- disposer de l'outil nécessaire pour tenter une réinstallation de Ubuntu 18.04 suivant la doc Comment réinstaller Ubuntu ?

Essaye en passant au kernel lors du démarrage les paramètres suivant:

noapic, nolapic pci=noaer,
et si nvidia nouveau.modeset=0

Si tu passes par une nouvelle installation  d'un système avec home chiffré , lors du premier boot passer en ligne de commande est faire un
sudo apt install ecryptfs-utils cryptsetup pour pourvoir avoir accès à ton répertoire home chiffré.

Tout parait normal dans ce Boot-Info. Essaie les solutions proposées par carabao. Si ça ne donne rien, tu pourras tenter une réinstallation de Ubuntu 18.04 suivant la Méthode 1 – Réinstaller tout le système sans toucher au «/home». Mais ça pourrait foirer parce que ta partition racine est déjà bien pleine comme on voit dans cet extrait (c'est dans la partie "df -Th" du Boot-Info) :

La réinstallation va rajouter des Go et ça risque d'étouffer la partition racine, aussi il est indispensable (avant de lancer une réinstallation) que tu sauvegardes sur clé USB ou sur disque dur externe les docs précieux que tu peux avoir là-dedans. Plutôt qu'un réinstallation, le mieux serait une installation toute neuve de Ubuntu 18.04 et écrasant tout ce qu'il y a sur le disque ton module de stockage 32 Go  avec le choix "Effacer le disque et installer Ubuntu" à l'étape "Type d'installation". Dans ce cas d'une installation toute neuve, l'installateur de 18.04 ne crée plus de partition swap (il crée un fichier swap noyé dans la partition racine) ce qui te ferait gagner de la place...

Ok je vais tenter la méthode carabao!
Oui j'ai fais ça un peu vite, j'aurais dû être plus précautioneux. J'ai seulement quelques fichiers à récupérer, je vais essayer mais si vraiment je n'y arrive pas alors je passerai par une réinstallation totale.
Dans le cas d'une évolution d'un Ubuntu antérieur vers un plus neuf, il y a forcément un swap créé? En effet avec cette machine qui possède très peu de disque c'est un peu embêtant.

Pour accéder au noyau, j'ai fais quelques recherches mais aimerais que vous validiez mes étapes histoires de pas dégrader la situation: au démarage je suis passer par grub, et au lieu d'enclencher "Entrée" devant l'option Ubuntu j'ai enclenché la touche "E".
Là, un éditeur de texte me propose d'éditer du code qui commence par:
"setparams 'Ubuntu
        recordfail
        load_video
        gfxmode $linux_gfx_mode
        ...
"
Il faut donc que j'ajoute à ce niveau les instructions de @carabao? Au même niveau d'indentation que ce qui suit "setparams 'Ubuntu'"?

C'est bien du bash le language non?

@carabao, tu dis que si nvidia alors ajouter "nouveau.modeset=0", sinon "noapic, nolapic pci=noaer"?
Comment vérifier que c'est nvidia? J'ai pas idée sur cette machine.

Bonjour,

Valable pour une session normale (pas live), c'est d'ailleurs un tout petit peu plus simple pour une live. Dès que grub apparaît, tu appuies sur une flèche pour arrêter le timeout,
puis tu appuies sur 'e'
- tu descends avec les touches (curseur) jusqu'à tomber sur 

Linux          /boot/vmlinuz...

C'est le premier que tu trouves qui est intéressant
- avec le curseur tu te déplaces pour le mettre après splash. Il est possible que la ligne de commande soit sur 2 lignes, tu déplaces le curseur vers la droite à partir de linux
- tu vas écrire les paramètres que tu souhaites, avec un espace entre splash et le reste...
- Le clavier est en QWERTY, donc faire attention à ce que tu tapes et ce qui est écrit
- tu valides par F10
- tu démarres avec le 1ier noyau (celui du haut)

Si tu ajoutes plusieurs paramètres, pas de virgules entre, juste un espace.

Tu as peu de risque, les modifications ne sont pas sauvegardées.

En effet j'ai une ligne de type
"linux    /boot/... ... quiet splash ..."
Il faut donc que j'ajoute entre "splash" et la fin les paramètres évoqués par @caraboa?
Ces paramètres sont donc bien "nouveau.modeset=0", sinon "noapic, nolapic pci=noaer"? Comment repérer si je suis nvidia?

Je ne peux pas te confirmer les paramètres, je n'ai pas suivi en détail le fil.

A ma connaissance, pas de , entre noapic et nolapic

Essaie déjà avec noapic nolapic pci=noaer

Pour savoir si c'est une nVidia, il faudra passer par une live si tu n'arrives pas à démarrer une session normale ou au minimum un shell

sudo lshw -C display
