[ RESOLU ] Le noyau doit d'abord être chargé
Bonjour à tous les linuxiens
J'ai actuellement sur mon pc portable dell une installe d'Ubuntu 16.04.5 (sur un HDD très lent trop compliqué à démonter) et je voudrais installer Ubuntu 18.04.1 sur un SSD à la place du lecteur DVD via un caddy.
L'installation se passe bien et au moment de faire mon choix au démarrage sur cette nouvelle installation 18.04.1 j'ai le message suivant "le noyau doit d'abord être chargé".
On dirait qu'il ne veut pas booter !? Depuis le HDD Ubuntu 16.04.5 j'arrive bien à lire le SSD.
Quelqu’un à une idée pour que j'arrive à démarrer sur mon SSD avec Ubuntu 18.04.1 ?

Oui, j'ai exactement les lignes que tu décris ci-dessous mais quand je sélectionne Ubuntu 18.04 j'arrive sur une erreur :

erreur : le noyau doit d'abord être chargé
Appuyer sur une touche pour continuer ...
Et je reviens au menu grub

Je pense que tes ennuis viennent du montage merdique de ton SSD que tu as décrit dans ton post #1 : "SSD à la place du lecteur DVD via un caddy.". Peut-être que des plus calés que moi pourront confirmer que c'est bien ce montage qui est en cause.

Les 2 mbr pointent vers l'ubuntu de sda5.
Essaie ceci (sans garantie) :
Démarrer normalement
sudo os-prober
sudo update-initramfs -u -k all
sudo update-grub
Redémarre et choisis
Ubuntu 18.04.1 LTS (18.04) (on /dev/sdb1)

Je peux installer Ubuntu 18.04 et faire un LVM ou raid 0 avec mon HDD et SSD ? ou le problème risque d'être le même ?

Babdu89 bonjour, non j'ai essayé de choisir le lecteur cd au démarrage et de le forcer à booter, également avec F12 mais le bios ne doit pas comprendre qu'il faut booter sur un disque dur qui est dans le caddy à la place du lecteur cd, dommage je regarde comment l'installer en lvm ou raid 0... penses tu que ça peut fonctionner ?

J'ai trouvé une solution !
Si ça peut servir à quelqu'un d'autre, je m'explique :
A l'installation d'Ubuntu 18.04
Il suffit de faire une partition /boot sur le HDD, j'ai mis 5 Gio formaté en ext4
Puis une autre partition / sur le SSD dans le caddy 120 Gio formaté en ext4
Il ne reste plus qu'a continuer l'installation en choisissant un nom d'utilisateur et un mot de passe !
