[Résolu à 90%] Menu de GRUB disparait

Bonjour,

J'ai installé Ubuntu 22.04 sur un nouveau PC en dual-boot avec Windows 11 et tout allait bien, le menu de GRUB apparaissait comme prévu.

Ce matin, j'ai réagi à un message de sécurité de Windows et au démarrage suivant, plus de menu de GRUB. Démarrage direct sur Windows.

Boot-repair n'arrive pas a me dépanner mais voici un rapport Boot-info :

Bonjour , vu que c ' est windows qui a fait des siennes , il faut verifier sur celui-ci que le fastboot est desactivé , que l' hibernation est desactivé , pour le secure boot je ne suis pas certain , avant de remettre en etat , sinon evidemment a la 1er occasion windows refera disparaitre le GRUB .
Sinon , beaucoup plus simple , tu supprimes completement windows , il ne t ' embetera plus

Je garde Windows (comme toujours) car il me sert de temps en temps.

Ce que cherche a savoir, c'est ce qu'il s'est passé avec son truc de sécurité qu'il m'a signalé ce matin. Avant que j'accepte la proposition de Windows, tout allait bien.

Je précise que les 2 O.S. sont installé en côte-à-côte en UEFI depuis une semaine sur un disque SSD et que je n'ai rien modifié dans le BIOS UEFI.

Tu penses que ça vient du Fastboot ?

Comme tu ne nous donnes pas le message de securité qui est apparu , je ne peux pas deviner avec quoi ca a un rapport .
ce que je sais , c ' est que pour etre presque tranquille , il faut desactiver le fastboot et l ' hibernation ca c ' est certain . pour le secure boot il faudrait une personne plus competente que moi pour dire exactement .
Windows est capable de reactiver sans ton intervention le fast boot et l' hibernation , ca j' adore ! , c' est vrai que j' aime bien qu ' une machine decide de reactiver un truc que j ' ai pris la peine de desactiver ... ( ironie ) .

Le gros problème est que je n'ai pas noté le message de Windows mais c'était un truc du genre empêcher des trucs malveillants de s'installer/activer. Un truc qui est assez normal quand on y pense.

Qu'a fait Windows en réalité, c'est ça que je cherche a savoir !

Je sais démarrer sur Ubuntu sans problème en passant par le gestionnaire de démarrage du PC et en choisissant le fichier shrimx64.efi mais c'est moins pratique.

il faut faire :

sudo os-prober && sudo update-grub

apres redemarrage ca sera rentré dans l' ordre si le peripherique par defaut du BIOS est bien celui designant ubuntu .

oui , j ' ai vu que tout en bas elle avait dejà ete rajoutée . j ' ai aussi edité mon message entre temps , mais tu n' as pas du le voir .

et @nany est venue a la rescousse et on arrive a la meme conclusion . plus d' entrée pour ubuntu dans le bootorder .

je ne suis pas doué pour les rapports boot-info ...

Et on n'y voit que Windows.

c ' est normal , l ' OS ne se detecte pas lui-meme , mais il inscrit son entrée tout de meme .

Merci Nany, tu m'as dépanné à 90%.

La commande :

sudo grub-install

m'a dépanné.

Sauf si j'ai le malheur de démarrer Windows...

Je précise :

Grace à cette commande, le menu de GRUB est revenu comme avant.
Mais si je redémarre sous Windows puis que je redémarre le PC, plus de GRUB !
Je relance la commande (sous Ubuntu) puis je redémarre et hop, menu de GRUB.

Mais qu'est ce que ce p....n de Windows 11 m'a fichu ce matin ?
Je vais voir si je trouve des pistes...

Il n’y a pas d’entrée Ubuntu, Windows semble avoir fait le ménage.

Et il semblerait qu’il le refasse à chaque fois qu’on le lance.
Malheureusement, n’ayant plus de connaissance en Windows, je ne saurai aider davantage.

Je vais y regarder entre autres pistes iznode.
Si c'est ça, c'est que Windows a activé le Fastboot ce matin.
Ce qui me semble bizarre, c'est qu'en général le Fastboot est activé par défaut !
Mais je vais vérifier ça tantôt !

C'est un peu le problème avec un PC HP !

3 PC portables HP et un seul ne m'a pas trop posé de problème en dualboot Windows/Ubuntu.

Je pense qu'à l'époque (environ 10 ans) c'est Malbo qui m'a donné des pistes qui ont fini par me dépanner.
