Grub ne voit pas Hardy Héron

Bonjour,
J'ai installé Hardy Héron sur un disque dur (Hda)
Mais j'avais déjà un disque (Sda) avec Win XP  et un disque de données (Sdb).
Sur mon disque hda j'ai également Linux Mint Daryna.

Au demarrage Grub me propose Linux Mint Daryna ou Windows XP.

Je vois bien sur mon disque Hda que Hardy Heron est bien installé, Mais grub ne le voit pas.
J'ai donc lu la doc Grub  (unbuntu.fr). Mais je ne suis pas sur de tout comprendre ! et pour l'instant je ne peux faire démarrer Hardy Heron.
Je pense que le problème est lié à la présence de plusieurs disques (IDE et DATA de + !)

J'espère ne pas être trop confus et que quelqu'un pourra m'aider à utiliser Hardy Héron autrement qu'avec le LiveCD.

essaye de restaurer ton grub automatiquemment comme cela il devrait tout mettre les système sur la machine

Sinon si cela marche pas poste nous ton fichier /bot/grub/menu.lst

Merci pour la réponse rapide, mais le superGrub que j'ai est la version 0.9711. Je peux choisir le langage, ensuite je peux choisir GNU/Linux mais après je ne vois rien qui arrange le démarrage.
J'envoie mon fichier menu.lst (attention les pages concernant Hardy Héron, ne sont apparues qu'à partir du moment ou j'ai moi même modifié les fichiers de mon Grub (Tuto grub)).

Si tu as installé Hardy sur /dev/hda3, il faut maintenant mettre le grub loader d'Hardy sur /dev/hda3.
Pour ce faire :
Dans un terminal :
sudo grub   --> grub>
là tu tapes :
find /boot/grub/menu.lst  --> devrait te donner entre autre  (hd0,2)
là tu tapes
root (hd0,2)
puis
setup (hd0,2)
et enfin
quit

Tu rebootes et en choisissant Hardy Heron tu devrais voir apparaitre le menu grub d'Hardy.

Bonsoir,
Je viens de tester la manip de jeanjd63 et de me faire un peu peur.
En effet je peux sélectionner Hardy heron, j'ai alors Ubuntu 8.04 en premier choix (mais aussi mes Mint et XP).
Je sélectionne donc Hardy Heron et là j'ai "Error 22 , no such partition". Pas de panique je vais prendre ma Mint Daryna (4.0) et là : "error 17 cannot mount selected partition". Je selectionne alors mon autre Mint (Elyssa 5.0) que je ne voyais pas non plus dans mon grub avant et : "error 22, no such partition". Il me reste donc XP et : "error 13"
J'éteins tout sauvagement et là (suspense...) je retrouve mon ancien démarrage et je sélectionne ma Mint 4.0 et là je repas comme avant : Ouf!
Ben oui mais j'ai toujours le même problème, je ne peux pas utiliser Hardy heron , ni ma Mint 5.0 (Elyssa).

Il faudrait lister le contenu du menu.lst d'Hardy qui se trouve sous /dev/hda3 et donner le résultat de :
sudo fdisk -l en indiquant l'utilisation de tes partitions.

Dans menu.lst d'Hardy:

Pour la partie Xp il doit falloir adapter avec les :
root (hd1,0)
map (hd0) (hd1)
map (hd1) (hd0)

Pour les autre systèmes les références aux disques doivent être erronées :
Exemple pour Hardy, tu devrais avoir des :
root (hd0,2)
et un
# groot=(hd0,2)
Si ce n'est pas le cas, tu fais les modifs et tu retentes.

Je ne suis pas parvenu à éditer le menu.lst sous dev/hda3.

J'ai tapé sudo gedit /dev/hda3/boot/grub/menu.lst  : réponse : erreur innatendue

Mon disque Hda ne contient que des systèmes Linux.
hda1 est ma partition avec ma Linux Mint4.0 (qui fonctionne en ce moment)
hda2 ? je ne sais pas.
hda3 est ma partition avec Hardy heron (qui est sur le disque mais que je ne peux lancer)
hda6 est Linux mint 5.0 (qui est sur le disque mais que je ne peux lancer)

Mon disque /dev/sda 41.1 GO est mon disque windows (XP)
Mon disque /dev/sdb de 80 GO est partagé en sdb1 stockage de documents (partition Ntfs)
et sdb4 stockage de document en Vfat

J'espère que ce que j'envoie est à peu près clair

Déjà c'est un peu le souk sur /dev/hda :

Tu peux voir que physiquement
/dev/hda3 est la première,
/dev/hda4 suit
/dev/hda1 ensuite
/dev/hda2 enfin --> celle-ci est une partition qui contient /dev/hda5, 6 et 7 .

Enfin cela n'a peut être pas grande importance.

Pour éditer le menu.lst d'Hardy :
sudo  umount   /dev/hda3   pas d'inquiétude si mess d'erreur
puis
sudo  mount  /dev/hda3  /mnt

Et enfin :
sudo gedit  /mnt/boot/grub/menu.lst

Pour le menu.lst qui est sur /dev/hda6 :
sudo  umount  /mnt
sudo  umount  /dev/hda6  --> mêmes remarques que pour /dev/hda3
sudo  mount  /dev/hda6  /mnt

Et enfin ... je te laisse deviner.

A propos la prochaine fois liste ton menu.lst entre bornes Code c'est + lisible.

Bonjour, Merci !

Je peux maintenant utiliser Hardy Heron et Ma mint 4.0. Par contre sur mon grub de départ je ne vois plus XP. En outre sur ce grub si je sélectionne ma Mint5.0 (Elyssa); je rencontre à nouveau les messages du genre "erreur 22 no such partition."

Par contre si je sélectionne Hardy Héron , je repars sur un nouveau grub où j'ai accés à mon XP sans pb.

On avance et c'est super!

En effet il n'est pas indispensable comme dit + haut que chaque menu.lst pointe sur tout le reste.

Ensuite tu modifies dans ce menu.lst les :

Je réassume

Si tu as installé Mint5 sur /dev/hda6, il faut maintenant mettre le grub loader de Mint5 sur /dev/hda6.
Pour ce faire :
Dans un terminal :
sudo grub   --> grub>
là tu tapes :
find /boot/grub/menu.lst  --> devrait te donner entre autre  (hd0,5)
là tu tapes
root (hd0,5)
puis
setup (hd0,5)
et enfin
quit

Tu rebootes et en choisissant Linux sur HDA6 tu devrais voir apparaitre le menu grub de Mint5.

Je viens de faire les manips demandées (je pense les avoir déjà faites).
Et je confirme mon post précedent : pas de XP proposé dans mon premier Grub ; Hardy Héron (qui fonctionne) et me renvoit sur un autre Grub (avec XP proposé) et Mint Elyssa (mais qui ne fonctionne pas).
Si je sélectionne Mint Elyssa sur HDA6, il affiche : root (hd2,5)  error 22 : no such partition.
Je ne sais pas si cela a un rapport mais quand je lance mon XP, il affiche : boot.ini non valide   demarrage à partir de C: et XP demarre.

Il faisait cela avant que nous fassions les modifs pour utiliser Hardy Heron.

J'espère être clair.

1) Déjà ton premier menu, sur /dev/hda0, me parait correct. Quand tu dis qu'il ne te propose pas d'Xp, je pense qu'il te le propose, mais qu'il n'est pas obligatoirement affiché à l'écran. Il suffit de faire défiler avec la "flèche basse" pour voir Xp (enfin je pense).

2) Ton menu n°2 (/dev/hda3) parait ok oui/non ??

Pour ce dernier assure-toi bien d'avoir mit son bootloader sur /dev/hda6
voici ce que je te mettais dans le post #12 :

Si tu as installé Mint5 sur /dev/hda6, il faut maintenant mettre le grub loader de Mint5 sur /dev/hda6.
Pour ce faire :
Dans un terminal :
sudo grub   --> grub>
là tu tapes :
find /boot/grub/menu.lst  --> devrait te donner entre autre  (hd0,5)
là tu tapes
root (hd0,5)
puis
setup (hd0,5)
et enfin
quit

Tu rebootes et en choisissant Linux sur HDA6 tu devrais voir apparaitre le menu grub de Mint5.

Comme tu l'avais deviné XP est visible sur le premier Grub à l'aide de la flèche basse.
Le deuxième grub fonctionne correctement (hda3)
Le troisième grub fonctionne correctement (hda6) Mais la distribution ne fonctionne pas. Je vois la barre de défilement sous Linux Mint qui fait des aller-retour et finalement apparait le message suivant :
BusyBox v1.1.1.3 (Débian 1:1.1.1.3-5 ubuntu12) Built-in shelle (ash)
Enter 'help' for a list of built-in commands.
(initramfs) - et le tiret clignotte.

Peux-tu lister le fichier :
/etc/fstab du disque /dev/hda6

Si tu vois des lignes débutant par :
/dev/sdc6  il faudrait les remplacer par des :
/dev/hda6

j'ai essayé de récupérer le fichier /etc/fstab du disque /dev/hda6  en faisant sudo  umount  /mnt
sudo  umount  /dev/hda6 
sudo  mount  /dev/hda6  /mnt
puis sudo gedit /etc/fstab
et cela donne :

Ensuite si tu as un doute sur ces valeurs d'UUID, tu tapes la commande :
sudo  ls  -l  /dev/disk/by-uuid/   et tu compares les valeurs

Si ça ne démarre toujours pas, tu peux tenter le mode "recovery" sinon ????

PS : pendant que nous bricolions mes menu.lst, j'ai modifié mon mot de passe pour acceder à XP (j'ai des ados à la maison qui n'arrivent pas à limiter leur temps d'informatique...). J'ai réutilisé XP le lendemain pour récupérer une base de données sous Works ; Pas de problème. Mais depuis quelques jours, XP me dit que mon mot de passe est faux ! J'ai essayé toutes les combinaisons de touches et il refuse mon mot de passe (que j'ai installé le même jours sur les 3 ordis de la maison).
J'ai fini par me demander s'il ne pouvait y avoir un rapport avec les mofifs effectuées (je ne vois pas comment ? mais je ne m'explique pas que le code ait fonctionné, et qu'il ne fonctionne plus alors que sous les autres ordis ce code est reconnu).
Peut-être as-tu une idée ?
