[mayday!]ouverture synaptic => plantage d'ubuntu!

Bonjour!
J'ai réinstallé ubuntu depuis environs 3/4 jours, tout allait bien jusqu'à ce que... j'ouvre synaptic (une fois de plus!) et la... ubuntu plante!! oO première fois que je vois linux planter en 2 ans d'utilisation, je redémarre mon ordinateur avec des bons petits souvenirs windosiens, et je me dit que ba... rien n'est parfait!
Je refais donc l'opération... replantage!! Oho!!! bizarre, vous avez dit bizarre?? Atendez, le mieux est à venir! Je redémarre mon ordinateur, et j'essaye de faire des mises a jours et au moment de cliquer sur mettre les mises à jours... plantage!!! oO
incroyable n'est-ce pas? Je n'ai pas essayé d'installer des paquets en mode console... devrais-je essayer, ou est-ce un "bug" graphique courant sous ubuntu??
J'ai installé pas mal de choses sous mon p'tit ubuntu pour le personnaliser... serais-ce la cause? Tout marchait à merveille quand tout à coup...
Autre chose bizarre, open office plante aussi! hmm
J'ai essayé d'installer loki juste avant cette série meurtrière de plantage à répétition, en écrivant ceci dans un joli petit terminal :

sudo apt-get install loki

il m'installe un tas de trucs....

Puis j'essaye de lancer loki comme ceci :

loki

(ouai bon, je me foule pas trop! lol )

mais la console me revoie ceci! :

Frustré, je vais voir du côté de synaptic pour faire des recherches avec "loki" et là... c'est la drame!

voila... tout ceci pour demander humblement de l'aide... ou même me demander des explications plus détaillées!

ps : un petit détaille : le plantage s'effectue toujours juste après avoir donné mon mot de passe.
Autre fait bizarre : j'ai l'impression que les mises à jours s'effectuent ! J'ai laissé mon ordinateur qui avait planté suite à une tentative de mise à jours... je le redémarre, et firefox me dit qu'il a eu une mise à jour! je n'y comprend rien hmm

demander la clef medibuntu (codecs etc)
