migration de ibex à jackalope, problème de fichier "status" corrompu

Bonjour,
A la base j'avais un prôblème d'installation de vlc dans ma migration d'ibex à jackalope, et visiblement cela viendrait d'un problème de corruption de mon fichier status; quans je fais

sudo apt-cache policy vlc

ça me fait

j'ai toujours le même souci d'installation de vlc, ça viens peut-être de ce fameux fichier "status", quelqu'un peut-il aider un presque novice ? merci d'avance

alors voila

sudo apt-get install vlc

ça donne:

Construction de l'arbre des dépendances
Lecture des informations d'état... Fait
Aucune version du paquet vlc n'est disponible, mais il existe dans la base
de données. Cela signifie en général que le paquet est manquant, qu'il est devenu obsolète
ou qu'il n'est disponible que sur une autre source
Cependant les paquets suivants le remplacent :
  vlc-nox libvlc2
E: Aucun paquet ne correspond au paquet vlc

Alors soit tu le récupères sur fr.archive.ubuntu.com ou bien tu prends vlc-nox.

Quand j'essaye d'installer VLC nox sur synaptic, ça me dit

vlc-nox:

Le paquet vlc-nox n'est pas disponible bien qu'il soit listé dans la base de données.
Les explications possibles sont que le paquet est listé dans les dépendances sans jamais avoir été publié, qu'il est devenu obsolète ou qu'il n'est pas disponible sur les dépôts vers lesquels pointe le fichier sources.list

je vais tenter ton autre proposition

ça me rend dingue, je n'arrive pas à récupérer le paquet vlc où que ce soit, help, ça fait deux semaines que je cherche à résoudre ce problème, j'aime beaucoup la recherche mais j'aime surtout trouver, il doit bien y avoir une solution

Salut,

Tu es certain que la migration vers Jaunty Jackalope 9.04 est bien terminée ?

Si oui, que font les dépôt de Dapper dans ton sources.list ??!

Il me semble que tu ferais mieux d'en générer un nouveau. Comme la dernière version du générateur est la 8.10, il te suffira de remplacer les occurrences de interpid par jaunty avant d'enregistrer le nouveau sources.list.

Après avoir remis ton sources.list à jour, on verra si le problème est toujours présent.

Colles donc le retour de 

sudo apt-get update

dans sa totalité.

en faite je suis passé d'ibex à jackalope par le gestionnaire de mise à jour, peut être que je ne suis pas complétement à jour, je ne sais pas, comment remettre ma source liste à jour? en ce qui concerne les dépots de dapper je ne comprend pas plus

Tu génères un nouveau sources.list et édites le fichier avec 

sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list

et remplaces tout le contenu avec celui du nouveau fichier généré. Par contre, n'utilises pas les dépôt "backport" et "proposed".

Quand tu auras remplacé le fichier, refait un update et un upgrade.

http://packages.ubuntu.com/ est un super site, mais que ce soit avec une architecture amd64 ou i386 l'architecture est soit incorrecte soit il y a une erreur de dépendence non satisfaite: vlc-nox (=0.9.9a-2ubuntu1)

Après avoir enregistré les modifications entre la commande

wget -q http://fr.packages.medibuntu.org/medibuntu-key.gpg -O- | sudo apt-key add -

dans le terminal pour récupérer la clé du dépôt Medibuntu.

Après avoir remplacé tout le contenu, retente d'installer VLC après avoir nettoyer le cache des paquets avec 

sudo apt-get clean

et supprimé les paquets obsolètes avec 

sudo apt-get autoremove

à la mise à jour, un message d'alerte me dit:

Le dépôt n'est peut-être plus disponible ou il est impossible de le trouver suite à des problèmes de réseau. Une ancienne version de l'index sera utilisée si elle est disponible. Autrement, le dépôt sera ignoré. Vérifiez que votre connexion réseau est active et assurez-vous que l'adresse inscrite dans les préférences est valide pour ce dépôt.

Le téléchargement de quelques fichiers d'index a échoué, ils ont été ignorés, ou les anciens ont été utilisés à la place.

vu que je suis passé de heron à ibex et à jackalope en mise à jour, c'est peut être pour ça qu'il me parle de cédérom et que l'ordi ne veut rien entendre. Par contre ça a dégagé vlc nox et vlc qui ne marchaient pas, le probléme est toujours de pouvoir l'installer, j'ai même essaye de changer le nom d'intrepis par jaunty dans la source.list, soit je ne l'ai pas bien fait, soit....????

Merci beaucoup inbox, j'ai suivi tout tes conseilles à la lettre, mais malheureusement rien y fait, retour à la case départ, nada, walou, rien. Je sais plus quoi faire, peut-être qu'il faut que je réinstalle jaunty? Que je jette l'ordi par la fenètre? Je crois que je vais opter pour la décision la moins violente...
