Résolution écran sans pilote nvidia
Bonsoir,
je dispose d'un écran AOC 22" et un chipset graphique Nvidia GeForce 7050 intégré à la carte mère.
je voudrais ne pas utiliser les pilotes nvidia car ils sont propriétaires mais si je ne les installe pas, je reste coincé au 1280x1024 alors que j'aimerai être en 1400x1050. j'ai déjà chipoté au xorg et fais des teste avec les pilotes nvidia
-Avec le pilotes, j'arrive au 1400x1050 (je devrais pouvoir atteindre le 1680x1050, mais j'aime pas donc on s'en fou) seulement quand je met un rafraichissement de 51Hz, si je le met à 60, mon écran me dit que la résolution est trop grande.
-Sans le pilotes, même avec un xorg.conf bien configuré, je n'arrive pas à passer le 1280x1024 (pilote vesa)
Merci de votre aide éventuelle
edit: je suis sous Ubuntu 8.04 (j'aimerais passer à Debian ou gNewSense)

Poste ton xorg.conf et dans 10 minutes c'est réglé.A+

celui sans pilote, que j'ai modifié moi même.

oué, en faite j'suis sensé pouvoir aller jusque 1680x1050, mais le seul moyen que j'ai trouvé pour avoir un résolution convenable c'est d'utiliser displayconfig-gtk pour selectioner un écran générique 1400x1050 enfin bref, je vais essayer mais la derniière fois que j'ai mis
virtual 1400 1050 sur debian, mon écran flottait sur les cotés.
edit: maintenant il ne passe plus en Low Graphic mais l'affiche est merdique (seulement sur le haut de l'écran et saturé)

heu nop, j'aime trop ma 8.04 LTS, mais je pense passer à Debian (d'où les testes pour faire fonctionner le tout sans pilote nvidia) Merci quand-même de ton aide, je vais continuer de tester jusqu'à ce que j'y arrive.

idem. je pense que le problème ne vient pas des la résolution, mais bien des taux de rafraichissement... je vais chercher de ce coté là
