Radeon HD 4850, Catalyst 9.10 et Karmic

Bonjour,

Hier, comme beaucoup de fans d'Ubuntu, j'ai foncé sur la Release de Karmic.

Sauf que j'ai un problème assez embêtant avec ma CG (Radeon HD 4850) et le dernier Catalyst (9.10) sensé marcher avec Karmic.

J'ai suivi toutes les étapes d'installation de la page de documentation catalyst

Mais rien n'y fait, après installation et redémarrage: Ecran noir systématique après le nouveau logo blanc d'Ubuntu.
Impossible d'accéder a la console.

Donc j'ai tenté plusieurs trucs mais la, je sèche complètement.

Même problème avec le Catalyst 9.9...

... Bah au moins, ça m'apprend a tripoter la console, cette histoire, c'est déjà ça. (Et c'est pas désagréable d'ailleurs)

Tu as installé en suivant les étapes 1 à 11? pas plus pas moins?

Oui et quand je redémarre... Vlan... Écran noir.
Alors ensuite je reboot en recovery pour supprimer les pilotes... (Ah qu'est-ce qu'on f'rait sans not' bonne vieille console, hein?)

Sinon j'ai aussi essayé d'installer les pilotes Catalyst de Septembre (9.9) mais c'est pareil, voir pire. (Des pixels rouge au dessus de l'écran en bonus)

Mais je crois que ceux-ci ne sont pas compatibles Karmic. Alors que les 9.10, si, c'est marqué sur le Changelog.

Personnellement j'ai installer avec succès avec le gestionnaire de mise à jour et j'ai aussi fait l'installation manuelle des driver 9,10. Dans les deux tout semblait correct excepté les effets 3D

Salut, même problème avec Radeon hd 3650.

je vais essayer d'installer les pilotes Radeon et Radeon HD je te tiens au courant

Même problème en passant par le pilote propriétaire automatiquement trouvé par ubuntu.

Sauf que la, c'est plus fun qu'avant: Au lieu d'avoir droit au Login habituel, j'ai la console avec login/password qui clignote comme une folle dingue...

Oui exact radeon hd marche pas, j'ai même pas envie de tester radeon "normal". Faut se rendre à l'évidence, on va avoir un vieille affichage pendant quelque temps. Si tu trouve la solution post la stp, je ferai pareil.

Apparement lui l'a trouvé mais il l'a pas posté la solution

Pour certaines cartes, il faut désactiver la gestion de l'acpi (hd mobility 3650 pour ma part) :

aticonfig --acpi-services=off

Sa carte n'a rien à voir avec la votre.

J'ai une hd4850 et ça marche pas trop mal. Il reste des bugs, surtout avec flash ça lag un max.

T'as le dernier catalyst et ça fonctionne?

Dans ce cas, peut-tu partager ton xorg.conf, pour voir si ça viens de la?

C'est peut être (même surement) la création automatique du xorg qui foire... (aticonfig --initial -f)

Tu a installé quelle version du catalyst? 9.10? Ou celle du dépôt?

9.10 mais même celui du dépôt fonctionnait.

Sinon je suis en 32 bits je ne sais pas si ça peut jouer...

Sinon quelle méthode d'installation as-tu utilisé?
Celle proposée dans la documentation catalyst d'ubuntu-fr.org? Ou autre chose?

(On va bien finir par trouver d'où ça viens xD)

Les étapes 1 à 11 de "l'installation rapide" de la doc. (avec aticonfig --initial -f)

Non je ne crois pas pour ton écran mais les voies de l'informatique sont impénétrables...

Ouep, ça change rien mais bon, c'est peut être une astuce valable que pour la série des "mobility" aussi.

Je vais continuer a me renseigner... Peut-être qu'un jour...

C'est bien la première Ubuntu où j'ai pu me passer de la console a 100% pour l'install.

J'ai une nVidia hd4570, clic sur l'install du pilote proprio, ca redémarre et pouf ca marche avec les tout nouveaux Catalyst 9.10...

Bref, est-ce que tu peux nous donner ton /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

J'ai le même souci avec une RADEON 9250. Depuis le passage à la 9.10, c'est la cata :

- impossible de mettre les effets 3D
- Firefox très lent

Je suis vite revenu à la 9.04 qui fonctionne très bien. Apparemment, en cherchant via Google, la 9.10 ubuntu aurait de gros souci avec les ATI....ça, c'est un gros loupé...mais bon c'est pas bien grave, je me rabats sur la 9.04

et oui quand ubuntu 9.10 fait son Vista (humour !!!) lol

Ouais on dirait bien un problème avec AIGLX.

Par contre je vois que tu as suivi la doc d'install des catalyst, je n'en ai pas eu besoin.

Après une install toute fraiche, Ubuntu m'a signalé qu'il y avait un pilote dispo pour ma CG, j'ai cliqué install comme un benet, redémarré, et fini.

Si tu veux pas tout réinstaller, vire tout ce qui a un rapport avec fglrx/catalyst/etc..., lance la commande dpkg-reconfigure etc... qui est présente en haut de ton /etc/X11/Xorg.conf, puis va dans Système>Hardware et installe au clic!
